Farm is the map Arena Breakout: Infinite tells new players to start on, and in Season 7 it is still the easiest place to learn the game and make steady Koen. Morefun's own pitch, from the official "Everything You Need to Know" post on Steam: "If you're new to the Dark Zone, Farm is the ideal place to start. It has decent loot, a tight layout, and short extraction routes, making it perfect for learning through action."
Season 7 changed some things around Farm, though. Farm's Forbidden Zone was replaced by a zombie-mode "Heavy Infected Area", Normal and Lockdown raids now have gear caps, and weaker versions of the Hostile Sector special forces now show up in regular raids. This guide covers what the map looks like right now, where the key rooms and free safes are, who the bosses are and how to get out alive.
Verified against Morefun's official Steam announcements for app 2073620 (the Season 7 "UTOPIA Arrives" patch notes of September 15, 2026, and earlier season posts) on October 22, 2026, during Season 7: Utopia (live since September 16, 2026). Where a detail comes from community map data and not from Morefun, we say so.
⚡ TL;DR: Arena Breakout: Infinite Farm map (Season 7)
Best for: new players, knife runs and cheap Koen runs. Morefun officially calls it "the ideal place to start".
Season 7 tiers on Farm: Normal and Lockdown in Tactical Ops, plus Farm (Heavy Infected Area), a zombie PvPvE mode that replaced Farm (Forbidden Zone).
Gear caps: Normal = protection and penetration level 4 or below; Lockdown = 5 or below and a 900,000 equipment-value cap.
Key rooms (community map data): Motel Main Guest Room, Motel 201, Barn Office (Grain Trade Center), Master Bedroom (Villa), Stables Warehouse.
Bosses (community-reported): Ajax (Motel, Stables, rarely Loading Area) and Hecate (Small Hall, Grain Trade Center).
Free safes: timed safes at Stables 2F, Small Hall and the Loading Area bus. One player opened 30 free safes in a single day of Normal Farm this week.
What is the Farm map in Arena Breakout: Infinite?
Farm is one of the six maps listed on ABI's Steam store page. It is also one of the oldest. Farm and Valley were the two maps in the game's first PC closed beta in May 2024. Morefun then expanded it in Season 2, and the official post says those "new areas added in Season 2" gave "this beginner-friendly map … more room for tactical plays." The Steam Full Release dev blog (September 2, 2025) also named "the Farm's expansion and the increased amount of cover in maps" as an example of how Morefun keeps improving existing maps.
The map is a long east-west strip of farmland split by a highway overpass that runs north to south through the middle. The in-game map labels 16 areas:
| Side | Areas (in-game labels) |
|---|---|
| West | Grain Trade Center, SW. Farmhouse, Cemetery |
| Centre | Stables, Recycling Station, Motel, S. Loading Area, Small Hall (north) |
| Centre-east | Open Storage, Wheatfield Hut, Wheatfield Farmhouse |
| East | Loading Area, Main Warehouse, Warehouse Ruins, Villa, Southeast Village |
Raid length and lobby size: Morefun doesn't publish them per map. Community wiki data puts Farm at about 30 minutes and up to 12 players. Treat that as approximate.
What changed on Farm in Season 7: Utopia?
Season 7 went live on September 16, 2026. Four changes in the official patch notes affect Farm.
1. Farm Forbidden Zone is gone this season. The September 15 Season 7 patch notes list the new zombie mode's maps as "Farm (Heavy Infected Area), Valley (Infected Area), and Airport (Heavy Infected Area). These will replace Farm (Forbidden Zone), Valley (Lockdown Zone), and Airport (Forbidden Zone), respectively." Heavy Infected is the Forbidden-level difficulty. It is PvPvE, the garrison is "primarily zombie mutants", and Morefun says Operators "can gear up freely". For the mutant types and how the mode works, see our Arena Breakout: Infinite zombie mode guide.
2. Gear caps on Normal and Lockdown. The patch notes, verbatim: "For Lockdown Zone (including Infected Area) raids, equipment value will be capped at 900,000. Additionally, you can only bring in gear whose protection level and penetration level are 5 or below. For raids at Normal difficulty, you can only bring in gear whose protection level and penetration level are 4 or below. This gear includes helmets, masks, armored rigs, and body armor." Our Season 7 ammo and gear cap explainer covers the details.
3. Special forces in regular raids. The Season 6 Hostile Sector enemies (breachers, snipers, grenadiers and fumigators) "will be deployed across all main mode maps in Season 7". Their "overall threat level is lower than the previous Hostile Sector iterations". Hostile Sector itself, including Farm's PvE version, "will not be available this season".
4. Map adjustments. The Season 7 notes say "The invisible wall at Wheatfield Pond has been removed". The notes don't name the map, but Wheatfield is a Farm area (Morefun's July 3, 2026 notes place N. and S. Wheatfield on Farm), and the pond sits by Wheatfield Hut. The same notes add that "some basic containers have been removed, and more advanced containers have been added."
Can you meet Tier 5 ammo in Normal Farm?
Yes. This is the most common Season 7 Farm complaint. A Reddit thread this week titled "Killed by tier 5 bullet in farm Normal… ffs" shows the confusion. The cap only limits what you bring in. Morefun's wording is "you can only bring in gear". Anything found during the raid doesn't count. As one reply in the thread put it: "The rules of the mode are for player entry, not drops." Players reported finding higher-tier rounds in ammo boxes and on AI enemies.
So in Normal Farm, assume an opponent may have picked up something one tier above the cap. Pick a helmet and plate that hold up against what you're likely to meet. Our best armor guide covers the Season 7 options.
Where are the key rooms on Farm?
Farm has five key rooms that the community map data agrees on. Morefun has never published a key list, so these come from the two main community map projects (the ABI fandom wiki and the maps.tcno.co Farm map), which both list them. Check the room in your own raid before you rely on a specific item spawn.
| Key | Where | What's inside (community data) |
|---|---|---|
| Motel Main Guest Room Key | Motel, 2nd floor | Two safes (an electronic safe plus a safe), a premium weapon case |
| Motel 201 Key | Motel, 2nd-floor outer corridor | A safe, a pro first-aid kit |
| Barn Office Key | Grain Trade Center, 2nd floor | A safe, a computer, a suitcase |
| Master Bedroom Key | Villa, 2nd floor | A safe, a computer, a jacket |
| Stables Warehouse Key | Warehouse at the Stables | A document box, a jacket, a toolbox |
Which key is worth buying first? Our pick is the Motel Main Guest Room key, because it opens two safes in one room. The catch is that the Motel is right in the middle of the map, sits right beside the highway overpass and is a boss spawn, so it's also where most fights start. The Barn Office at Grain Trade Center and the Villa Master Bedroom are on the quieter edges, which makes them better for solo players.
The Motel has a second floor and a basement, both drawn on Morefun's official top-down map. Both key rooms are on Floor 2. Check the stairs before you go up, because a squad holding the corridor can cover both doors.
Where are the free safes on Farm?
You don't need a key for every safe. Community map data marks several free timed safes that take about 20 seconds to open after you start them. They make noise while counting down, so anyone nearby will know you're there.
- Stables, 2nd floor. A beeping timed safe that players describe as "very noticeable from afar".
- Small Hall. A timed safe in the northern area added in the Season 2 expansion.
- Loading Area. A timed safe inside a bus.
- Under the highway bridge. A small safe in a wrecked van that opens instantly (community data marks it for Lockdown).
- Open Storage, N. Wheatfield and Wheatfield Hut. A spread of small safes. Check the difficulty: community map data tags the Wheatfield Hut small safes as Lockdown-or-higher, while Open Storage has one on Normal.
- New in Season 7: maps.tcno.co marks two new safe spots this season, one at Open Storage (Lockdown) and one at the Villa (listed for the old Forbidden tier).
Are free safes on Normal Farm actually worth it? For a low-risk Koen run, yes. On October 21, 2026 a player posted the results on Reddit of opening 30 free safes in Normal Farm in one day. Every safe in the screenshot was an encrypted safe. A typical safe held one or two Koen stacks of roughly 4,000–6,000 each plus a small item such as a document, a picture frame or a set of stamps. The replies said what most players think: cash stacks are the prize and frames are filler. With a cheap kit that's a safe way to make money, especially as a solo player. Our solo guide covers how to play these routes alone.
To protect what you find, put the most valuable small items in your Secure Case. Remember that red ammo can't go in it. See the Secure Case guide.
Who are the bosses on Farm and where do they spawn?
In regular Tactical Ops raids, Farm has two bosses, according to player reports and community map data. (Farm's Heavy Infected Area uses the Season 7 zombie mutant roster instead.) Morefun's Steam posts mention boss events on Farm but never name Farm's bosses, so the names and spawn spots below are community-sourced.
- Ajax is Farm's original boss. He spawns at the Motel or the Stables, and rarely at the Loading Area. He comes with guards.
- Hecate arrived with the Season 2 Farm expansion. She spawns at Small Hall or Grain Trade Center. Players say a voice line plays at raid start when she is on the map. That gives you a warning before you rotate into her areas.
Boss spawns aren't guaranteed in a normal Tactical Ops raid. When you hear sustained AI gunfire around the Motel or Stables early in a raid, assume Ajax's group is up and go around.
What about Boss Rally on Farm? In Season 5, Morefun added Boss Rally, where "Forbidden Zone raids in Northridge and Farm have a chance to trigger the Boss Rally event. When triggered, multiple bosses will spawn on the map." Because Farm (Forbidden Zone) was replaced by the Heavy Infected Area in Season 7, no current official post confirms Boss Rally on Farm this season. Don't plan a raid around it.
What are the extraction points on Farm?
Morefun doesn't publish extraction lists, and community maps disagree in places. The 1.0 dev blog confirms the game uses "random extraction points", so your in-raid extraction list is the only source to trust. Open your map at the start of every raid. Here's what the current community data shows:
| Extract | Type (community data) | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Outpost | Fixed | West side, near the Sentry Tower |
| Highway | Fixed | East end of the map |
| Path to Restricted Area | Fixed | North-east |
| Hunter's Path | Conditional: no backpack | You can carry an empty, rolled-up backpack in your rig |
| Southern Blockade | Conditional: paid, opens after ~10 min | The price differs between sources, so read the in-raid prompt |
| Path to Northridge | Listed, may be chance-based | |
| Farmhouse | Listed on newer maps | South-west |
| Artificial Lake | Chance-based | Not open every raid |
Older guides also list a Boulder Wall extract. It isn't on the current community map, so it may have been removed when Farm was expanded. Don't plan around it.
Extract rule of thumb: which fixed extracts you get depends on where you spawned, and community guides describe them as usually being on the opposite side of the map from your spawn. Check your extract list at raid start and plan the route there before you loot. If that route crosses the central Motel–Stables junction, cross it early, while the raid is still quiet, rather than late with a full bag.
What is the best Farm loot route for beginners?
This route works on Normal Farm in Season 7 with a cheap kit. For a ready-made loadout, see our budget loadout guide.
- Spawn west: loot Grain Trade Center first (the Barn Office if you have the key, plus computers and toolboxes). Then go along the southern road through the Cemetery and S. Loading Area, and only push the Motel if it's quiet.
- Spawn east: clear the Villa (Master Bedroom key), then Southeast Village, then the Loading Area bus safe. Leave the Main Warehouse for last only if you still have time.
- Spawn north or central: hit the Small Hall timed safe and leave before anyone comes to check the noise. Then loot the small safes around Open Storage (Wheatfield Hut's small safes are Lockdown-or-higher in community data).
- Bank it early. Once your bag is worth more than your kit, head for the extract you planned at raid start.
When should you move up from Farm?
Once you're surviving most Normal raids, the next step is Farm Lockdown. The minimum equipment value to enter Lockdown is 150,000 (Morefun's Season 4 change, unchanged since). In Season 7 you're capped at 900,000 and at level 5 gear. After Farm, the natural next maps are Valley and Airport (note that in Season 7 Valley's Lockdown Zone was replaced by Valley (Infected Area)). Morefun says Airport has the highest drop rates, and it is a tougher map to learn; it's covered in our Airport map guide. For how the tiers compare, read Lockdown vs Forbidden Zone.
FAQ
Is Farm the best map for beginners in Arena Breakout: Infinite? Yes. Morefun's official guide calls it "the ideal place to start" because of its "tight layout, and short extraction routes", and Normal raids have no entry requirement, so you can learn it with a cheap kit.
Is Farm Forbidden Zone still in the game in Season 7? Not this season. The Season 7 patch notes say Farm (Heavy Infected Area), a zombie PvPvE mode, replaces Farm (Forbidden Zone). Farm Normal and Lockdown are still in Tactical Ops.
Why did I get shot with Tier 5 ammo in Normal Farm? The Season 7 gear cap only limits what you bring into the raid. Ammo found in boxes or looted from AI during the raid isn't capped.
What is the best key on Farm? The Motel Main Guest Room key, because it opens two safes in one room. It's also in the most contested part of the map, so the Villa Master Bedroom and the Barn Office are safer choices for solo players.
How many players are on Farm and how long is a raid? Morefun doesn't publish per-map numbers. Community wiki data puts it at about 30 minutes and up to 12 players. Check the timer in your own raid.
Does Farm wipe at the end of Season 7? Not as a full stash wipe. Morefun's season posts only talk about season rank resetting, and the community consensus is that seasonal missions reset while your stash, Koen and level carry over.
