Scary Coffins is the second phase of Brawl-O-Ween 2026, the month-long Halloween event in Season 55. The whole player base votes once a day on which of 24 numbered coffins to open, and everyone gets the reward inside. Only 12 of the 24 will ever open, so half the prize pool stays buried. Your vote decides which half you get. A correct guess about what's inside a coffin also pays you a Chaos Drop.
Quick answer (TLDR): Scary Coffins runs October 15–26, 2026. Each day the community has to finish 100 million quests, then the most-voted of 24 coffins opens for everyone at 08:00 UTC. Only 12 ever open (two on October 26), and a correct reward prediction pays 1 Chaos Drop. Opened so far: #1 (Player Icon), #8 (1,000 Bling, player-reported) and #17 (October 18). The best prizes still in play are the Ultra Chaos Drop, Gravestone Griff, a random Buffie and the early Vince Event. Every Coffin Box gives 10 rewards with at least one premium reward guaranteed (Supercell Support).

What is Scary Coffins in Brawl Stars?
Brawl-O-Ween 2026 runs in four phases, and each one has its own mechanics:
| Phase | Dates (2026) | What happens | Status on Oct 18 |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1. Find Gus | Oct 1 – Oct 12 | Six puzzle rooms in Mortis' Mortuary | Ended |
| 2. Scary Coffins | Oct 15 – Oct 26 | Community vote opens 12 of 24 coffins | Live (Day 4) |
| 3. Creator Event | Oct 26 – Oct 29 | Creator-code themed event (details not yet revealed) | Upcoming |
| 4. The Last Coffin | Oct 29 – Nov 5 | One final coffin with hard community goals | Upcoming |
Phase dates for 3 and 4 come from the in-game News, as summarized by BrawlQR. The only hint Supercell has given for the Creator Event is that players who don't follow a creator or use a creator code yet will need one. If you missed the start of the season, our Brawl-O-Ween Season 55 overview covers the Brawl Pass and the new season.
How does Scary Coffins voting work?
Tap the #ScaryCoffins button on the lobby screen to open the graveyard. Every coffin has a number on its lid and a headstone above it, and both carry hints about the reward. The daily loop:
- Play your quests. Every quest you finish counts toward the shared 100M quest target shown at the bottom of the event screen.
- Find the coffin by its number. Since October 16 the coffins shuffle every time you open the screen. Supercell added the shuffle because too many people were just voting for whatever sat first in the row. Always look for the printed number, never the position.
- Tap the coffin, then tap Vote. A "Voted!" label marks your pick. Players report that you can't change a vote once it's cast, so pick carefully.
- Come back after 08:00 UTC. The winning coffin opens, its reward goes to everyone, and a new poll starts. Supercell's live board currently shows "DAY 4: VOTE FOR A COFFIN" with the countdown ending at 08:00 UTC on October 19.
The percentages above each coffin show the community's vote split, not your odds of getting a reward. Supercell pre-recorded a reveal video for all 24 coffins. It posts the winner's video each day and will release the rest after October 26.
Day-by-day schedule
| Reveal | Date (08:00 UTC) | Coffins opened |
|---|---|---|
| Day 1 | Oct 16 | 1 |
| Day 2 | Oct 17 | 1 |
| Day 3 | Oct 18 | 1 |
| Days 4–10 | Oct 19 – Oct 25 | 1 per day (7 total) |
| Final day | Oct 26 | 2 |
| Total | 12 of 24 |
How do you get a free Chaos Drop from predictions?
Predictions are separate from voting. Tap the small square (or +) under any coffin and pick the reward icon you think is inside. You can fill in all 24 coffins, and each reward can only sit on one coffin, so placing it somewhere else moves your guess. When a coffin opens and your guess was right, you earn a Chaos Drop, even if it wasn't the coffin you voted for.
Three rules matter:
- Guesses on unopened coffins stay editable. You can rearrange them every day as reveals rule rewards out.
- Revealed coffins lock. Once a coffin opens, your guess for it is final.
- Fill the whole board. Supercell hasn't said whether every correct guess pays separately, so an empty square is a guaranteed miss.
Supercell is also running a separate giveaway of 100 Chaos Drops split across 10 winners. To enter, post a screenshot of your vote or prediction board on X with #BrawlStars and #ScaryCoffins, explain your pick, and wait for winners to be contacted after October 26. That's on top of the in-game prediction reward.
What are all 24 Scary Coffins rewards?
This is the full official reward pool from Supercell's launch announcement and the in-game board. The value tiers are our own ranking:
| Tier | Reward | Why it ranks here |
|---|---|---|
| Top | 1 Ultra Chaos Drop (can still split) | Ultra tier can roll a Buffie, Hypercharge, Mythic or Ultra Legendary Brawler |
| Top | Gravestone Griff skin | Brawl-O-Ween themed skin, free for the whole player base |
| Top | 1 random Buffie | Rare upgrade that's hard to get from normal drops |
| Top | Vince Event early + 2 Vince Boxes | Starts the new Mythic's release event ahead of schedule |
| Great | 1 Ultra Trophy Box | Big progression box |
| Great | 1 Coffin Box | 10 rewards with one premium reward guaranteed |
| Great | 10 random Starr Drops | Ten rolls on the standard drop table |
| Great | 5 Chaos Drops | Upgraded drops with better rarity odds |
| Great | 15 Gems | Premium currency |
| Good | 3 Chaos Drops / 1,000 Coins / 500 Coins / 500 Power Points / 500 Credits / 1,000 Bling | Solid resource bumps |
| Fun | Crow Boss Battle / Kizu Kenji Boss Battle | Limited-time boss modes with their own rewards |
| Fun | Prop Hunt in all modes for 1 day | Turns on the Prop Hunt modifier everywhere |
| Fun | Melodie's hidden tattoo reveal | A video, not an item |
| Small | 1 Player Icon | Already opened (Coffin #1) |
| Trap | 1 XP Doubler, 2 Credits, 7 Coins, 1 Gem | Wasting a day's vote on these costs everyone a real prize |
Some rewards unlock a mode rather than an item. On the event board those coffins show PLAY! or VIEW! instead of SHOP!, and you claim item rewards for free from the Brawl-O-Ween section of the Shop. The Vince coffin is the one to watch if you want the new Mythic sooner. It doesn't unlock Vince directly. It starts his release event early with two extra boxes. Our Vince guide breaks down his kit.
Which coffins are already open?
| Date | Coffin | Reward | Evidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| Oct 16 | #1 | Coffin-themed Player Icon | Confirmed in Supercell's reveal video; free in the Shop |
| Oct 17 | #8 | 1,000 Bling (player-reported) | Opening announced by @BrawlStars; reward reported by players and tracker sites such as SportsDunia |
| Oct 18 | #17 | Not yet confirmed | Reveal posted by @BrawlStars at 08:04 UTC; many players had guessed an Ultra Trophy Box, but we couldn't confirm the contents from the footage at time of writing |
Day 1 is a good warning. The most popular community guess for Coffin #1 was the Kizu Kenji Boss Battle, because of the claw scratches on the lid. It turned out to be a Player Icon. Supercell said openly that some coffin designs point the wrong way on purpose.

Which coffin should you vote for?
There's no answer key until a coffin opens, and anyone selling you "the answers" is guessing. Here are the strongest community reads for unopened coffins, built from lid and headstone clues:
| Coffin | Most common guess | Clue | Confidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| #10 | Vince Event + 2 Vince Boxes | Caterpillars and moths, Vince's trait | Strong |
| #19 | Random Buffie | Keychain-shaped coffin, "1/4" headstone | Strong |
| #12 | Gravestone Griff | Scarf and tip jar | Strong, but disputed |
| #2 | 5 Chaos Drops or Ultra Chaos Drop | Chaos Drop eye on the headstone | Mixed |
| #15 | Ultra Chaos Drop | Bright glowing coffin | Mixed |
| #4 | Coffin Box or Ultra Trophy Box | "Trick or Treat" headstone | Split |
| #24 | Crow Boss Battle | Crow's dagger, green poison | Strong |
| #18 | 7 Coins (trap) | A few loose coins | Most agree |
| #13 | 1 Gem (trap) | Black cat, broken mirror | Mixed |
The prediction consensus comes from the boards of several large creators, as compared by BrawlQR and SportsDunia. One Reddit thread put the stakes plainly: "Why go for Vince which will be released by the end of the month?? When you have buffies, ultradrop, coffin box, Griff skin, Melodie tattoo" (r/Brawlstars).
Our recommendation:
- Vote with your club. Now that positions shuffle, coordinated votes on one number decide every result. A split vote on five good coffins loses to one organized vote on a trap.
- Prioritize permanent account value. In order: Buffie, Ultra Chaos Drop, Gravestone Griff. Vince's release event still arrives this season even if his coffin stays shut, so the early start is a convenience, not a lost Brawler.
- Never vote for a coffin you think is a trap, even as a joke. Only 12 open, and each wasted day costs everyone a prize.
- Predict differently from how you vote. Your prediction pays you personally, so put your honest best guess on every coffin, even ones you don't vote for.
What are the Coffin Box drop chances?
Coffin Boxes are the season's reward container. They're also one of the 24 coffin prizes. Supercell's support page puts the rules simply: "Each Coffin Box has 10 rewards. You're guaranteed at least one premium reward per Coffin Box." (Supercell Support). These are the official per-draw chances:
| Reward | Chance per draw |
|---|---|
| 50 Coins | 15.88% |
| 50 Power Points | 15.88% |
| 100 XP Doublers | 13.05% |
| 20 Bling | 8.70% |
| 100 Coins | 7.83% |
| 100 Power Points | 7.83% |
| 30 Credits | 6.52% |
| 50 Bling | 4.35% |
| Random Pin / Spray / Player Icon | 3.48% each |
| 75 Credits | 3.26% |
| 150 Credits | 1.30% |
| Random Rare Skin | 0.87% |
| Random Gadget | 0.44% |
| Random Epic Brawler | 0.30% |
| Random Star Power | 0.22% |
| Random Super Rare Skin | 0.17% |
| Random Epic Skin / Mythic Brawler | 0.13% each |
| Random Hypercharge / Buffie / Mythic Skin | 0.09% each |
| 1,000 Coins / 1,000 PP / Legendary Brawler / Legendary Skin / 2,000 XP Doublers | 0.04% each |
| Premium: Brawl-o-ween Skin | 0.61% |
| Premium: 1,000 Coins | 0.52% |
| Premium: 1,000 Power Points | 0.52% |
| Premium: 10 Gems | 0.44% |
| Premium: Random Buffie | 0.09% |
| Premium: Random Hypercharge | 0.04% |
Three numbers matter most:
- 2.22%: the combined weight of all six premium rewards. A box still guarantees one, so the premium slot is the real value of every box.
- About 27%: the Brawl-o-ween Skin's share of the premium pool's published weights (0.61 of 2.22). This is arithmetic on the table, not an official per-box skin rate, because Supercell doesn't say how the guaranteed premium slot is picked.
- 47.4%: the combined chance of a small 50 or 100 Coins or Power Points pull on any single draw (15.88% + 7.83%, twice). Most of each box will be small resources, and that's normal.
If you already own a rolled item, Supercell swaps in a fallback reward of Bling, Coins or Credits. That's why two players' openings can look so different.
How do you get Coffin Boxes in Brawl-O-Ween 2026?
- Free Supercell Store claim. A free Coffin Box has been offered on the Supercell Store during the event. Claim it on the Supercell ID linked to your account.
- Scary Coffins. One of the 24 coffins holds a Coffin Box. If it opens, everyone gets one.
- Shop for Gems. The Brawl-O-Ween Shop section sells them, but you don't need to buy any to take part in the event.
- Earlier phases (ended). Completing Find Gus (ended Oct 12) and the nine-win Brawloween Challenge (ended Oct 15) each awarded one.
Daily wins still pay out too. Six wins a day fills Loony's bundle, which can include Starr Drops or Chaos Drops. For every other legitimate source of free premium currency, see our free gems guide and the current Brawl Stars codes. No code, link or "generator" gives you Gravestone Griff, Buffies or Vince Boxes. Every Scary Coffins reward is unlocked by the community vote inside the game, and any site asking for your Supercell ID in exchange for one is a scam.
What should you do every day until October 26?
- Get your six daily wins to fill Loony's bundle.
- Finish your quests, since quests (not wins) count toward the 100M community goal.
- Open #ScaryCoffins after 08:00 UTC to see the latest reveal and claim it from the Shop.
- Update your predictions for unopened coffins, since every reveal rules a reward out.
- Cast your vote for the number your club agreed on.
- Check the meta before you grind quests. The October 2026 tier list tells you which Brawlers clear wins fastest right now.
FAQ

What time does the Scary Coffins vote close? Each daily poll closes at 08:00 UTC. The in-game countdown shows the exact time in your region. The Day 4 poll closes on October 19 at 08:00 UTC.
Which Scary Coffins have opened so far? Coffin #1 held a coffin-themed Player Icon, which is free in the Shop. Coffin #8 opened on October 17, and players report it held 1,000 Bling. Coffin #17 opened on October 18.
How do I get a Chaos Drop in Scary Coffins? Tap the square under any coffin and choose the reward you think is inside. If you're right when that coffin opens, you get a Chaos Drop. Predictions are separate from your vote, so fill in the whole board.
