FC 27 Update 1.1.0 Patch Notes: 147 Fixes, No Gameplay Nerf

FC 27 update 1.1.0 is live as of 27 October 2026, and it is a maintenance patch, not a meta patch. EA SPORTS FC 27 is in Season 2: FC Heritage (22 October to 3 December), and EA's full Title Update v1.1.0 notes list 147 bug fixes across five sections, plus a handful of quality-of-life changes. The headline FUT additions are a Claim All button for objectives, Streamlined SBC filters that persist within a session, a shorter pack-opening sequence and a fix for custom tactics moving players into the wrong positions.

What it does not contain is just as important for your coin balance. EA writes it in the second sentence of the notes: there are no gameplay balance or tuning changes. This guide was first published on 26 October from EA's preview and has been rewritten on 27 October against the complete notes. It ranks what matters for Ultimate Team players and flags the fixes players are already disputing.

Quick answer: EA FC 27 Title Update 1.1.0 went live on 27 October 2026. By our count of EA's notes it lists 147 fixes (Grounds 44, Ultimate Team 40, Career 37, General 24, Gameplay 2) and zero balance or tuning changes. FUT gets a Claim All button, session-saved SBC filters, faster pack openings and a fix for tactics saving players in the wrong positions. Players are already reporting that referee kits still clash and that some PC controllers stopped responding. Do not rebuild your squad for a nerf that is not in the notes.

Is FC 27 update 1.1.0 live, and what does it change?

Yes. EA's Title Update v1.1.0 notes, dated 27 October 2026, open with the status line:

EA says: "EA SPORTS FC 27 version 1.1.0 is now live and includes the updates below. There are no gameplay balance and tuning changes in this update."

EA does not publish a deployment time, download size or per-platform order in the notes. Community threads describing post-update behaviour on r/EASportsFC were appearing from late morning UTC on 27 October, so if your console or PC has not prompted you yet, check for the update manually before deciding a fix "didn't work".

FC 27 Title Update 1.1.0 fixes counted by section of EA's patch notes

Our count of EA's v1.1.0 notes, by section. Chart: timesaver.gg.

Here is how the notes break down. These are our counts of EA's bullet points, not a figure EA publishes:

SectionBug fixes listedChanges listedWhat it means for you
The Grounds (incl. Clubs, Rush)440Stability, matchmaking-queue and Live Event fixes
Ultimate Team402Gallery, Evolutions preview, tactics, Transfer Market search
Career Mode374 (plus 2 Rivalry sub-types)Negotiation, scouting and settings work
General, Audio and Visual242Claim All button, PC graphics and controller fixes
Gameplay20Tutorial and PC goalkeeper mouse fix only

The Gameplay section is the one most players open first, and it holds two items: a fix for players getting stuck in the opening tutorial, and a PC-only fix for the mouse becoming unresponsive when playing as a goalkeeper with mouse and keyboard. Nothing about shooting, dribbling, defending, the left stick or any PlayStyle.

Which FC 27 update 1.1.0 changes matter most for Ultimate Team?

For a FUT player, our ranking is below. It is an editorial usefulness ranking, not EA's priority order.

PriorityChange in v1.1.0Why it matters
1Claim All button on the objective screensSaves the most taps every week, especially during Season 2 objective groups
2Fix for new tactics saving incorrectly and moving players into the wrong positionsThe single most-complained-about FUT bug since launch
3Streamlined SBC filters remembered across SBCs in the same sessionFaster repeat SBC work, but resets on restart
4Gallery fixes (false S-rank display, stuck menus, grading overlap, missing notifications)Removes misleading Gallery progress readouts
5Pathway Evolutions and goalkeeper Evolution preview highlighting fixedThe green "upgraded stat" markers now match what actually changes
6Transfer Market search button that could stop workingRemoves a trading blocker
7Shorter pack-opening sequencePresentation only; pack contents are unchanged

The Claim All button

Listed under General, Audio and Visual: "Added a Claim All button in the objective screens." With Season 2 running Heritage Circuit groups, weekly objectives and Scream event objectives simultaneously, this is the change you will notice every session. It changes nothing about what you earn, only how many menus you click through. Our FC Heritage Circuit guide covers which objectives are actually worth the time.

Session-saved SBC filters

The final wording is narrower than the preview's. The full notes say Streamlined SBC filters "will save previously applied filters when completing multiple Streamlined SBCs in the same session." In plain terms:

  • Set your filter once and it carries to the next Streamlined SBC.
  • Close the game and it resets, so your first SBC after a relaunch still needs a check.
  • A remembered filter also means a one-off filter follows you forward. Re-check it before submitting.

The same patch also fixes SBC Storage items that had been submitted into Simplified SBCs still appearing temporarily for other SBCs, which was a real risk of picking a card you no longer had. If you have been burned by a wrong submission before, our wrong-player SBC guide still applies: v1.1.0 adds no undo. Background on the format is in our Streamlined SBC explainer.

Pack openings got faster, not better

EA's FUT change reads "Reduced the duration of the pack opening sequence." One r/EASportsFC thread on 27 October asked why packs now open at "100x speed", which is this change working as intended. The notes say nothing about pack contents or odds. A faster animation is not a reason to buy more packs.

Did EA fix the FC 27 tactics bug in update 1.1.0?

EA lists it as fixed, in two places. Under Ultimate Team: "In some cases, new tactics could be saved incorrectly and some players could be moved into the wrong positions." Under Career Mode, a matching fix for players being "placed in the wrong positions in the formation after creating and saving a new tactic from the Team Management screen." The FUT section also fixes the Player Overview and Multi-Swap options disappearing after returning from the Evolutions menu, and General fixes Team Management showing only up to 5 Player Roles.

The community is not convinced yet. The highest-scoring post in r/EASportsFC's new feed on the morning of update day (34 upvotes when we checked) complained about custom tactics still putting the wrong player in the wrong position, specifically when switching formations through D-pad tactics. That thread does not prove the fix failed. It was posted at 09:50 UTC, possibly before the update reached that player, and the notes describe new tactics being saved incorrectly, while the D-pad complaint is about switching between saved tactics mid-match, which EA's wording does not explicitly cover.

What we would do before a FUT Champions weekend:

  • Install the update first. Testing on the old build will just reproduce the old bug.
  • Re-save each custom tactic after updating. The fix describes how tactics are saved, so a tactic saved under 1.0.x may still carry the bad positions.
  • Test each D-pad tactic in a Squad Battles or Friendly match and check that every player lands where you set them.
  • If it still breaks, simplify. Keep your D-pad tactics on the same formation and change only instructions until EA addresses it.

Our earlier tactics and position-switching bug guide has the full workaround list for anyone still affected.

Does update 1.1.0 nerf gameplay or change the meta?

No. "There are no gameplay balance and tuning changes in this update" is EA's own wording in the v1.1.0 notes. Any claim that 1.1.0 nerfed the left stick, a formation or a PlayStyle is not supported by the notes.

The placebo is already circulating. In a r/fut thread asking how the update feels, one player celebrated a "nerfed" left stick and the replies split between "placebo" and "slower, not nerfed". Neither is measurable, and EA states there is no tuning change. One player-facing change does look like a gameplay fix but sits in the Grounds section: Street Football free kicks could be scored without aiming. That is a Grounds-mode fix, not an Ultimate Team set-piece change.

EA's 26 October preview said further Gameplay Developer Notes would arrive later this week, discussing potential adjustments for the next Title Update. As of 27 October they are not in the FC 27 news listing. Until they are, the spending rule is simple: keep a squad that works, and don't sell cards because someone on social media "felt" a nerf. For context on the long-running "heavy gameplay" complaint, see our post on why FC 27 gameplay feels heavy and EA's launch feedback verdicts.

What did update 1.1.0 not fix, or not fix yet?

Three problems are already showing up in update-day threads:

  • Referee kits still clashing. EA's General section lists a fix for "referee kit colours could be too similar to those of the teams on the pitch." A thread titled "So we're just lying in the pitch notes now are we?" posted a post-update screenshot of a referee blending into a team's kit. One reply said a kit-clash fix has appeared in patch notes for years without sticking, and another said they had passed to the referee by mistake. EA says "in some cases", so this is a partial fix at best on the evidence so far.
  • PC controllers not detected. EA lists "[PC Only] Some controllers were being detected correctly" (the wording in the notes is missing a "not"). Several PC players in a 27 October thread said their controller stopped being recognised in FC 27 after updating while still working in other games. The workarounds they reported were turning off Steam Input for the game and reconnecting the controller. One player found the cause was a disconnected Steam Controller receiver; reconnecting it fixed the problem. These are player reports, not an EA fix.
  • PC resolution. EA fixes being unable to change resolution in borderless mode and the Windowed-mode VRAM readout. One player on 27 October reported that 1920x1080 would not apply after updating. Try switching display mode (borderless to fullscreen), applying the resolution, then switching back. If you also get ping spikes, our PC connection guide covers that separately.

One Career item from the preview is also still missing. EA said on 26 October it was testing a fix for players requesting transfers over playtime even when their expectations were met. The complete v1.1.0 notes contain no transfer-request entry, so treat that as still outstanding.

What changes in Career Mode and The Grounds?

Career is the biggest feature section. Player Career Rivalries get two new objective types: Consistency Rivalries (avoid being the first to fail an objective) and Match Limit Rivalries (complete objectives within a time limit). Team Management gets a visual overhaul. Manager Career can now turn Press Conferences on or off, and set how often Press Conferences and Unexpected Events happen. All of these settings, plus the existing Unexpected Events toggle, can now be changed mid-save, not only at career creation.

The 37 Career fixes are mostly negotiation fixes. They include older players demanding crucial roles, wage demands rising too high when you add performance bonuses, the loan-to-buy exploit that got AI clubs to accept a low fee, and scout value reports using Judgement instead of Experience. Custom CPU AI sliders that reset to 50 after a restart are also fixed.

The Grounds gets 44 fixes and no feature changes. The ones you will feel are infinite queue screens after losing connection, an infinite load when joining a Clubs lobby after declining cross-play, two goalkeepers appearing in Clubs 11v11 Live Events, and the post-match rating showing 0 at max Archetype level.

What should you do after installing FC 27 update 1.1.0?

  • Confirm you are on 1.1.0 before testing any fix.
  • Re-save your custom tactics and test them, D-pad switches included, before your next Champions or Rivals session.
  • Use Claim All on your objectives page and check that every Season 2 reward has landed.
  • Set SBC filters once per session, and recheck them after any relaunch.
  • Don't buy or sell around a nerf. None is listed. Wait for EA's Gameplay Developer Notes before treating any card as obsolete.
  • PC players: if your pad stopped working, check Steam Input and any Steam Controller receiver before reinstalling.
