Quick answer. The best Alyosha build in Version 7.1 is an Energy Recharge support build: ER or ATK% Sands, ATK% Goblet, and a Healing Bonus, ATK% or CRIT Rate Circlet. Use 4-piece Heart of the Furnace in Stellar-Conduct teams when nobody else holds it, and 4-piece Noblesse Oblige when Odette does. His default weapon is Favonius Lance. Frostbreath, the Version 7.0 Battle Pass polearm, is the shielded-boss pick. Level his Elemental Skill first, because it alone scales his party ATK buff. At C0, Alyosha is a free, workable Stellar-Conduct support for newer accounts. He becomes a strong one at C6.
This guide covers Version 7.1, "A Rekviem for the Underworld". Talent values, weapon passives and material totals were checked on 22 October 2026 against HoYoverse's notices and the in-game text recorded on the Genshin Impact Wiki's Alyosha page.
Three numbers frame the whole build:
- His Hunter's Precision buff gives the active character +21.2% ATK at Skill level 10. At C3 (Skill level 13) it is +25.02%.
- In a Polestar Field, the same buff adds a flat +20% Stellar-Conduct DMG, or 40% at two stacks with C6.
- His fourth Ascension passive turns Energy Recharge into damage at 0.35% per 1% ER, capped at +70% (200% ER).
Who is Alyosha in Genshin Impact?
Alyosha, "Swift-Striding Hound", is a 4-star Electro polearm user from Snezhnaya who arrived in Version 7.0, "Everwinter Without Mercy". HoYoverse's Version 7.0 Update Details on HoYoLAB describe him in one line: "Alyosha is a support character who heals party members while continuously dealing Electro DMG."
He is free. In-game notice 21812, "The Hunt Begins!", lets anyone at Adventure Rank 18 who has finished Archon Quest Prologue: Act III invite him by progressing the Archon Quest "Everwinter Without Mercy" (the Genshin Impact Wiki places the invite in the quest "Gunfire in the Silent Lands"). The event page closes when Version 7.x ends. The notice also says you can still invite him "while progressing through 'Everwinter Without Mercy'" after that. Extra copies (constellations) come only from Wishes. The Genshin Impact Wiki lists him in the Standard Wish and every Event Wish 4-star pool since Version 7.1. He was a featured 4-star on both Version 7.0 Phase I banners, which ran from 12 August to 1 September 2026.
His official card lists three jobs: ATK Increase, Stellar-Conduct DMG Boost and Healing. That matches the kit, and it explains the most common question about him on Reddit. Players see "+20% Stellar" and read it as a charged attack buff. It is a buff to Stellar-Conduct, the Electro and Cryo Stellar Glimmer reaction from Snezhnaya. How does Alyosha's kit work?
Everything runs through one mechanic, the Hunter's Mark:
- His Elemental Skill, Thunderbolt Strike, marks every enemy it hits. The final strike of his Normal Attack combo also applies a mark. Tap the Skill. KQM's Alyosha quick guide notes the hold version deals slightly more damage but "is generally not worth using."
- Hitting a marked enemy again with his Skill, his final Normal Attack strike or Tugarin activates the mark. That removes the mark and gives your active character Hunter's Precision for 15 seconds.
- His Elemental Burst, Hunter's Advance, summons Tugarin, his hound. Tugarin mauls an enemy every 2 seconds, targets marked enemies first, and activates their marks. Before C2, Tugarin only consumes marks that your Skill or final Normal Attack placed, so the 15-second buff does not refresh by itself. From C2, every Tugarin attack also places a new mark, and the buff then keeps itself up for the length of the Burst.

Two limits decide where he fits. First, all his buffs land on the on-field character only. The talent text says "currently active party members", and KQM lists that as a con. Second, he cannot start Stellar-Conduct himself. He has a Vision, not a Stellar Linchpin, so he needs an enabler such as Odette, Sandrone or the Cryo Traveler to create the Polestar Field.
What are the best artifacts for Alyosha?
Alyosha is a support, so you build him for Energy first and his own damage last. KQM's quick guide, updated for Version 7.0, gives this stat priority: "ER% until requirement > CRIT Rate (Favonius Lance) > ATK% ≥ CRIT".

Which artifact set should Alyosha use?
- 4-piece Heart of the Furnace is the default in Stellar-Conduct teams. The 4-piece raises Stellar Glimmer reaction DMG by 50% for all nearby party members, and gives the wearer +12% ATK for 12s after a Stellar Glimmer reaction. KQM recommends it on him when nobody else holds it and he can trigger Stellar-Conduct, which means an enemy already has a Cryo aura. The bonus does not stack with a second copy, so only one teammate should wear it.
- 4-piece Noblesse Oblige is the pick when Odette is already wearing Heart of the Furnace. Its Burst buff gives the party +20% ATK for 12 seconds, and it works outside Stellar teams too.
- Other support sets, per KQM: Instructor, Deepwood Memories, Silken Moon's Serenade, Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City, Song of Days Past, Archaic Petra and Ocean-Hued Clam. Choose by what the carry needs. KQM warns that 4-star sets such as Instructor "lower his overall healing from lower ATK stats."

How much Energy Recharge does Alyosha need?
Less than you think, and much less once you have C2. KQM's Version 7.0 ranges for using his Burst on schedule are below.

At C2 and above, KQM says he "requires practically no ER investment if he can Burst every other rotation at C2+, assuming he starts with Burst available." C2 stretches the Burst to 20 seconds, which is what makes casting it every other rotation workable. Build extra ER anyway for Stygian Onslaught, where fights are longer.
The A4 passive rewards that ER. At 200% ER, his Skill and Burst deal +70% damage, so spare Energy Recharge still adds some damage on him.

If you hold Favonius Lance, add some CRIT Rate to the Circlet or substats. Its passive only triggers on critical hits. Without Favonius, any ER polearm will do. "The Catch" is a free option from the Inazuma Fishing Association. Do not spend a 5-star weapon on him before your carry has one.

C6 doubles both the ATK buff and the Stellar-Conduct buff when two marks are activated. At Skill level 13 that is roughly +50% ATK, +40% Stellar-Conduct DMG and +100 EM on your carry. KQM says this is where "Alyosha solidifies himself as a more competitive Stellar-Conduct support."

Alyosha has two jobs: Electro slot in a Stellar-Conduct team, or general off-field Electro support. The example teams below come from KQM's quick guide and are listed in no particular order.

Rotation. Use his Skill, then his Burst (EQ), before your on-field DPS comes in. The Skill particles then go straight into his own Burst. With Cyno, KQM suggests Burst first and then Skill (QE) to battery Cyno instead. In the main Stellar team, the sample rotation is Yae 3[E] > Odette 2[E] > Alyosha EQ > carry combo.

Is Alyosha worth building at C0?
Yes, if you are a newer player or short on Electro units. Wait if you already own Yae Miko, Qiqi or C6 Beidou.
KQM sums up the trade-off: "prior to C6, he faces competition from Qiqi and other 4-star options." At C0 your carry gets +21.2% ATK, +20% Stellar-Conduct DMG and steady healing, and he costs nothing to get. That is a real support for a Cryo Traveler or Sandrone team on a young account. On an account that already has Yae Miko and Odette, he competes for the fourth slot and does not clearly win it.
A cheap build is enough: level 80 or 90, Skill to level 9, Favonius Lance or any ER polearm, and spare 4-piece Noblesse Oblige. Level 10 needs a Crown of Insight, so stop at 9 unless you run him often. Skill level 9 already gives +20.14% ATK, only 1.06 points below level 10.

His ascension stat is Energy Recharge, up to 26.8% at level 90. That stacks with the A4 passive and makes an ER Sands even easier to justify.
