Two things stand out. First, the pass gives you four player picks but there are five Season 3 players, so you can't build the full set from the free track alone. Pick the four that actually start for you and get the fifth some other way, or skip it. Second, the coins are back-loaded: only 10,000 of the 80,000 coins land before level 18. If you stall in the teens, you've left 70,000 coins on the table.

The EA Forums Season 3 announcement says the season's players "max at 91 OVR", and MUT.GG notes the cap is 89 OVR on day one, with later steps unlocking as the season goes on.
Which four to take from the Fantasy Packs? Base it on your theme team, not overall. The Patriots get two of the five (Johnson and Hannah), which makes this a strong season for New England builds. A dual-chem Possession TE like Schultz fits more lineups than a single-team guard. If you run a 32-team lineup, look at the All-32 Chem Evos below before you decide.
How do Season 3 upgrades work?
Season 3 players are upgraded with Season 3 Upgrade Tokens, which you buy in the Store with Season Tickets. That makes the 4,625 tickets the most important line in the table above. Per MUT.GG's Season 3 notes, "Any unused Season Tickets from previous seasons carry over, so players who have been saving their tickets can put them toward the new upgrades."
A practical spending order for Season 3 tickets:
- Upgrade one starter first. Take the Season 3 player who starts for you to the current 89 OVR cap before you spread tickets across several cards. One 89 in your lineup beats three 86s on the bench.
- Hold some back for the later steps. The cap rises to 91 OVR during the season, so keep enough tickets for those upgrades instead of spending them all in week one.
- Flea Flicker packs come last. The BND Flea Flicker Pack in the Season Tickets tab refreshed on October 21 with a new limit of 2. MUT.GG suggested waiting for Most Feared Part 2 (October 22) before opening, so the pack pool includes the new cards. Season 3 All-32 Chem Evos
There are two new S3: 32 NFL Team Chemistry Evos in the Store. One is free; the other costs 20,000 coins or 125 Madden Points. Applying either one to a Season 3 player adds a chemistry option for all 32 NFL teams. MUT.GG's advice is to claim both before Season 3 ends: once claimed, they can still be applied to eligible Season 3 players in later seasons, even after they leave the Store. What else launched with Season 3?
- Autumn Classic. EA lists a free 99 OVR fan-appreciation player just for logging in, Throwback players you can upgrade with special items, and Sets that reward a Cornucopia pack.
- Blitz and All Madden. EA lists both as Season 3 events. Blitz features "some of the fastest players in the league" with quick Challenges, so it's a good source of XP and objectives.
- Epic Strategy Items. The purple Epic tier is now in the Catalog. There's also a new exchange set where 2 Uncommon Strategy Items = 1 Rare. With five Strategy Items coming from the pass (four random ones plus the level 50 Epic pick), it's worth trading up your spare Uncommons.
- The October 21 title update. It shipped the same day and targeted Ultimate Team disconnects. EA's October 21 notes say it "addressed various issues to improve online stability and reduce disconnects in Ultimate Team." How do you level the Season 3 Field Pass fast?
EA doesn't publish an XP-per-level number, and anyone quoting an exact number of hours is guessing. What does work:
- Play Most Feared and Season 3 objectives together. Most Feared runs until November 5, so through early November one session can progress both Most Feared Candy and Field Pass XP. One player who started late put it this way in an r/MaddenUltimateTeam catch-up thread: "especially with the most feared candy CPU solo grind can bet you a few 89's." - Use Blitz and Autumn Classic Challenges for quick XP. Short solo Challenges let you clear objectives without needing to beat a human opponent.
- Hit the coin-heavy stretch before Thanksgiving. Levels 18–48 pay 70,000 of the 80,000 coins. Plan to be past level 41 by the last week of November so you aren't rushing for the final 10,000-coin drop at level 48 before the December 1 end.
- Hold your Season 4 XP Tokens. Levels 17 and 44 give XP Tokens labeled for Season 4. They're meant for next season's pass, so keep them.
Can you convert Madden Points into coins?
The Field Pass pays out coins. Coins are earned in-game and spent on the Auction House and in-game items like the paid All-32 Evo. Madden Points are bought with real money and buy packs and Store items. You can't convert one into the other in either direction.
