How to Get Candies Fast in MM2 (Halloween 2026): Farming Guide & Emberbow Math

Quick answer (TLDR): The fastest way to get Candies in Murder Mystery 2's Halloween Event 2026 is to collect every Candy on the map in public rounds and finish all 3 Daily Quests every day. The quests ask you to collect 60, 120 and 200 Candies and pay 220, 110 and 170 back, so that's 500 bonus Candies a day. They reset at 8:00 UTC. The Emberbow costs 100,000 Candies, and the whole battle pass costs 116,800. If you start from zero on October 25, you need to average about 5,100 Candies a day to finish by the event's end on November 16, 2026 at 18:00 UTC. Most players who post their totals are making about 2,000 a day. Private servers don't pay out, and the Candy leaderboard closes about October 28, weeks before the event itself ends. Checked against the in-game event screens, the MM2 Wiki and a live Roblox Games API pull on October 25, 2026.

Candies are the whole Halloween event in Murder Mystery 2. They pay for the battle pass, the Emberbow, and every Halloween Box you open without a key. The pace you need to keep is steep, and most of the advice out there stops at "play a lot."

This guide puts numbers on it. It covers how many Candies you need, how much the daily quests really add, a pace table that shows whether you'll reach the Emberbow, why some servers are full of bots, and what to buy first if you won't make it.

What are Candies in MM2 Halloween 2026?

Candies are the event currency, and they replace coins until the event ends. The MM2 Wiki's Candies (2026) page) describes them like this, verbatim: "Candies can be earned by collecting them across maps during rounds (replacing coins), or by purchasing them for a set amount of Robux."

Three facts change how you should play:

  • No coins spawn during the event. The event page says coins return once Halloween ends, so the event costs you your usual coin income.
  • There's no Candy-to-coin exchange this year. The 2024 event let you convert 100 Candies into 100 coins. The wiki notes that the 2026 Candies come from "an event that did not feature the option to convert candies to coins." Anything you haven't spent by November 16 is worth nothing.
  • The event window is fixed. MM2's official Roblox event listing runs from October 18, 2026 at 19:00 UTC to November 16, 2026 at 18:00 UTC.

Everything runs from the Halloween 2026 event menu: quests, the battle pass, the Halloween Box, the Candy shop (the "+" next to your balance) and the leaderboard.

How many Candies do you need for the Emberbow?

You need 116,800 Candies for the whole battle pass, and 100,000 of them go on the Emberbow at the end. Here's the breakdown from the wiki's battle pass table and the in-game tier-30 screen:

What you're buyingCandiesWhat you get
Tier 1FreeZombie Plush
Tiers 2 to 2916,800 (28 × 600)Skins, pets, effects, the Emberknife and 13 Halloween Keys
Tier 30 (Emberbow)100,000Ancient gun, with a very rare chance at the Chroma Emberbow
Full pass116,800Everything above
One Halloween Box600 (or 1 Key)Random event weapon. Embersickle Godly 0.2%, Chroma Embersickle 0.004%

The wiki's overview paragraph lists 800 per tier and a 117,400 total, but its own battle pass table and other guides list 600. Use the price on your tier screen. Either way, the Emberbow costs about six times the other 28 paid tiers put together.

The 13 Keys open 13 boxes for free, which saves 7,800 Candies. Use them on boxes before you spend any Candies there.

How do you get Candies fast in MM2?

There are only three real sources: pickups in rounds, Daily Quests, and Robux. Here's how to get the most out of the free two.

1. Play public servers only. The wiki's Private Servers page says that inside private servers "players are unable to earn XP or coins by playing rounds." Candies spawn where coins used to, and nobody has shown a private server paying Candies this year. Don't spend the 10 Robux to find out.

2. Loot first, then play your role. Candies come from the ground, not from winning. As Innocent, sweep the map at the start of the round, while everyone is still spread out, and stop once your bag is full. Every round ends for everyone at the same time, so dying early only costs you if your bag isn't full yet.

3. Know the bag limit. Coins are capped at 40 per round, or 50 with the 499-Robux Elite Gamepass, according to the wiki's Coins page. The wiki doesn't list a separate cap for the 2026 Candy bag. Watch the bag icon in a few rounds, and once it's full, spend the rest of the round surviving.

4. Clear the Daily Quests every day. This is the biggest free boost, and it's covered in the next section.

5. Collect on the Bingo board at the same time. The Bingo square Collector asks for 800 Candies from ground pickups, so it fills up while you farm. It sits in the Innocent row next to Survivor (win 3 rounds as Innocent), and Survivor's column pays 2 Halloween Keys, which is 1,200 Candies of box opens. See our MM2 Halloween Bingo guide for all nine squares.

6. Leave bot servers. If your server is full of idle default avatars flying around the map, rejoin. More on that below.

How much do MM2 Daily Quests pay?

They pay 500 bonus Candies a day, for collecting 200 Candies you'd pick up anyway. The in-game Daily Quest screen shows one "Collect candies" bar with three checkpoints:

CheckpointCandies collectedBonus paid
160220
2120110
3200170
Total200500

Your first 200 Candies each day are worth 700 once the quest bonus is added. That's why logging in daily beats one long weekend session. Quests reset at 8:00 UTC (4:00 AM EDT, or 3:00 AM EST after the US clocks change on November 1). Each day you miss costs 500 Candies, and you can't make it up later.

Completing Daily Quests also builds toward the Event Quests, which give exclusive cosmetics. According to games.gg, the milestones are 15, 30 and 45 completed quests, for a Hexed knife skin, a Pumpkin skin and a Ghostly Rare knife skin. There are three quests a day, so the 45-quest reward needs 15 full days. Starting today still gets you there.

Can you still get the Emberbow if you start now?

Yes, but only if you play a lot. Here's the maths for someone starting from 0 Candies on October 25. That leaves 23 Daily Quest resets before the event ends (October 25 through November 16).

Your average Candies per day (pickups + quests)Total by Nov 16Tiers 2–29 (16,800)?Emberbow (116,800 total)?
1,00023,000✅❌
2,00046,000✅❌
3,50080,500✅❌
5,100117,300✅✅ (just)

The break-even number is 116,800 ÷ 23 ≈ 5,080 Candies a day. The quests cover 500 of that. Everything else has to come from pickups, every single day.

Real players are a long way off that. In an r/MurderMystery2 progress thread posted on October 24, the poster's tier-30 screen showed 10,004 Candies. They wrote, "I'm spending about 4 to 5 hours grinding a day." Another reply in the same thread read, "I do all my daily tasks, but I can barely get 2,000."

Started late, or only play an hour or two a day? Finish tiers 2 to 29 first. That takes 16,800 Candies, gets you the Emberknife and all 13 Keys, and is realistic at almost any pace. Skip the 100,000-Candy Emberbow and trade for one after the event, once supply is fixed. Our Emberbow value guide tracks what it trades for.

Already have 40,000+? Then you need about 3,300 a day from now on (76,800 ÷ 23), which is doable if you grind hard. Don't open boxes with Candies until the Emberbow is bought.

Why are MM2 servers full of bots right now?

Players are reporting servers full of what look like AFK farm accounts. These are default avatars that fly around the map collecting Candies. Our own Roblox Games API pulls show how fast the player count has grown since the event launched:

Pull (UTC)MM2 concurrent players
October 19, 01:26429,646
October 24, 09:281,414,351
October 25, 13:241,974,150 (ahead of Steal An Egg's 1,572,352 in the same pull)

Roblox app page for Murder Mystery 2 showing 1.9M active players during the Halloween 2026 event

The October 25 count is more than four times the October 19 one. Those pulls were taken at different hours (01:26 vs 13:24 UTC), so some of that gap is just time of day, but the jump is still huge. There's no official figure on how many of those players are bots, and some of the growth is the event itself. Still, threads titled "1.9 million bots" and "Got put in a server filled with nothing BUT bots" hit the subreddit this weekend. One reply about why top leaderboard accounts use plain Bacon avatars said simply: "These are afk autofarmers that fly around the map[s]." Another player in the same thread disagreed and said the top 10 are real players.

What it means for your farming:

  • Bot servers drain your Candies. Players report that bots grab the same spawns you're running for, and a full server only holds 12 players. If most of the server is idle default avatars, rejoin.
  • Don't run an autofarm yourself. Third-party scripts and exploit tools break Roblox's Terms of Use. They can get your account banned, and your inventory goes with it. An Emberbow isn't worth losing an account full of Godlies.

When does the MM2 Candy leaderboard end?

About October 28, 2026, which is weeks before the event ends. The in-game leaderboard screen captured on the wiki on October 20 at 00:42 UTC read "Leaderboards end in: 8d, 16h", which puts the close at about October 28, around 17:00 UTC. The battle pass, box and quests keep running until November 16.

The four untradeable MM2 Halloween 2026 leaderboard trophies: Gold, Silver, Bronze and Blue Emberbow

The prizes are untradeable trophy Emberbows: Gold for 1st, Silver for 2nd, Bronze for 3rd, and Blue for the top 100. Don't plan around them. A leaderboard screenshot posted on October 25 showed the top three already past 306,000 Candies, about 2.6 full battle passes each. Normal players should skip the leaderboard and spend on the pass.

Should you buy Candies with Robux?

Only if you're close and running out of days. The "+" next to your balance opens the Robux Candy shop, and the wiki confirms Candies can be bought for Robux. Two rules:

  • Buy only the gap. Work out what's left after your remaining quest days (500 × days left plus your normal daily pickups), and buy only that amount. Leftover Candies are worthless after November 16, because there's no coin exchange.
  • Compare against the item you actually want. If you only want the Emberbow or the Emberscythe for trading, check our Emberscythe value guide first. Once the event ends, you can often trade for the finished item for less than the Candies it costs.

Not going to make the Emberbow by November 16? Skip the 100,000-Candy grind and add an Ancient or Godly to your inventory directly. MM2 items are delivered by in-game trade.

What should you spend Candies on first?

In this order:

  • Tiers 2 to 29 (16,800). They give guaranteed cosmetics, the Emberknife and 13 Keys.
  • Open boxes with your 13 Keys only. Each one has a 0.2% chance at the Embersickle, which is half of the Emberscythe recipe.
  • Save for the Emberbow, if the pace table says you'll make it.
  • Spend leftover Candies on boxes in the last day or two. Unspent Candies are worth nothing after November 16, so open boxes with whatever is left before 18:00 UTC.

The Emberscythe needs one Emberbow plus one Embersickle in the lobby Cauldron. See our MM2 Halloween value list for what every Ember item currently trades for.

FAQ

How do you get Candies fast in MM2? Play public servers, grab Candies early in each round until your bag is full, and finish all three Daily Quests every day for 500 bonus Candies. Rejoin if you land in a server full of AFK bots, and use your Halloween Keys on boxes instead of Candies.

How many Candies do you need for the Emberbow in MM2? The Emberbow costs 100,000 Candies, and you have to buy tiers 2 to 29 first (600 each, 16,800 total). The full pass costs 116,800 Candies. Some wiki text says 117,400, so check your tier screen.

Do private servers give Candies in MM2? No. MM2 private servers don't award coins or XP for rounds, and Candies replace coins during the event. Farm in public servers.

Do MM2 Candies carry over after the event? No. Candies only exist for Halloween 2026, and this year there's no exchange into coins. Spend them all before November 16, 2026 at 18:00 UTC.

How many Candies can you get per day in MM2? The Daily Quests add a fixed 500 for collecting 200. Pickups depend on how long you play. Players posting their totals report about 2,000 a day with quests, and finishing the Emberbow from scratch on October 25 needs about 5,100 a day.

Are there MM2 codes for free Candies? No. There are no working MM2 codes right now, and none have been released for Halloween 2026. Our MM2 codes page lists every expired code.
