There are three sources for Skill Fruits, and they behave differently from Stat Fruits (the Life/Power/Stout fruits that raise IVs — a completely separate item).

1. Skill Fruit Trees

Skill Fruits grow on distinctive blue-veined trees scattered across the Palpagos Islands. Each tree holds one or more fruits, and the interaction prompt tells you exactly which skill it teaches before you pick it (for example, "Dragon Skill Fruit: Dragon Meteor"). You'll often need to climb the tree or use a flying mount to reach fruits on the higher branches. Which skill a given tree grows is tied to that tree, so once you find a tree that produces a fruit you want, remember its location — it's a repeatable source.

2. Dungeon treasure chests

Skill Fruits also appear as loot in dungeon treasure chests, and rarely spawn loose on the ground.
