What Is The Hollow in Roblox?
The Hollow is a free, platform-wide survival event run by Roblox itself (the "Roblox Presents" group), built around nine of the platform's best-known horror games. It's the Halloween follow-up to The Hunt: Roblox 20, and if you played that, the loop will feel familiar. Our The Hunt: Roblox 20 guide covers how that event worked.
The difference is the hub. The Hunt was mainly a quest board. The Hollow is a playable survival maze: a ruined theater whose marquee reads "Now Showing: The Hollow". Every night a monster from a different horror game moves in. You hunt for puzzle pieces, solve a puzzle room, grab a relic and get back to the elevator without being caught.
Roblox's own announcement sums up the schedule:
"A live finale for all players will begin the morning of Oct. 31, and players can continue collecting rewards until noon PST on Nov. 2." (Roblox Newsroom, October 21, 2026)
The in-game description keeps the horror framing. It ends with "Anything you find is yours to keep. Complete event quests, here and in participating experiences, to earn avatar items." Roblox says the event is aimed at players aged 9 and older in most regions.

These nine games supply the monsters. Each one has a live creator playing inside The Hollow. Roblox officially confirmed all nine monsters but not their order. The order below is the one reported by GamesRadar+, and the Night 1 and Night 2 floors match it.

Tickets come from event quests in participating games. You spend them in the hub shop. GamesRadar+ and Pro Game Guides both report that each Outskirts quest pays 20 Tickets plus an exclusive badge. The four games with their own reward pedestals in the hub pay 10 Tickets plus a free item:

As of today, Steal An Egg's "The Hollow 26" badge has 3,883,925 awards, DOORS' Sweet Deceit has 1,604,348 and Dandy's World's The Hollow 2026 has 1,516,087 (Roblox Badges API). Two tips from players and guides:
- Quests you already finished still count. GamesRadar+ reports that if you already completed a game's quest, you can teleport to it from inside The Hollow and come back to claim the Tickets.
- Some quests are a slog. Players on r/roblox single out +1 Speed Keyboard Escape as one of the slowest. In another thread, one player said most of the rest are "go to our halloween world area and wait" or "just play the game regularly and collect the collectable." Do the short quests first, then grind the long ones once you know how many Tickets you still need.

Both non-Plus shop items cost 120 Tickets together. The four pedestal quests already pay 40 Tickets, so four Outskirts quests (80 Tickets) cover the rest.

The Hollow hub has 13 badges so far, and each one is tied to a Roblox-made avatar item. Twelve are free for everyone, and Quack-o'-Lantern also needs Roblox Plus. All of them are off-sale on the Marketplace, so the event is the only way to get them.

How Does the Ghost Launcher Work?
Ghost launchers fire collectible shoulder pets into the hub, and any nearby player can catch one. The item descriptions in the Roblox catalog say exactly who has to be firing:
- Little Plus-tergeist: "Caught from a Roblox Plus subscriber's ghost launcher during The Hollow." By far the easiest, which is why it has 4.6 million awards.
- Spotlight Specter: "Caught from a Star Creator's ghost launcher." Star Creators livestream from inside The Hollow every day.
- Phantom in the Code: "Caught from a developer's ghost launcher."
- Incorporeal Incorporated: "Caught from a Roblox admin's ghost launcher." The rarest, at 81,274 awards.
How to get the rare three: watch the posters in the hub, which list the scheduled creator encounters, and join during a creator's live session. Pro Game Guides also suggests checking the Admin role in the member lists of participating games' groups and joining an admin's server when they're in The Hollow. Expect full servers and a lot of competition for the admin and developer drops.
Do you need Roblox Plus? Not to catch a ghost; you only need to be near someone firing one. Creators, developers and admins get their launchers through their roles. For everyone else, Plus is the only way to get one: it includes the subscriber launcher (which fires Little Plus-tergeist), 2-hour early access, a Hollow profile frame and background, the Hollow app theme, and the Plus-only Ticket items. The Hollow Horseman: The Paid Item
The one big paid item is the Hollow Horseman bundle at 31,000 Robux. Roblox released it on October 22 as a modern take on the classic Headless Horseman. Fastest Route to Every Free Item
- Clear every open floor first. Floors 1 and 2 are open and Floor 3 opens today (Night 3). Each one takes a few minutes and gives a guaranteed item.
- Do the four pedestal quests: DOORS, Dandy's World, Flee the Facility and AOONI Nightmare. For AOONI, take the elevator back to Floor 2 afterwards and find the secret room behind the blue barrier to claim the Fuwatty Side Satchel. That's four items and 40 Tickets.
- Farm the other 80 Tickets from four Outskirts quests, choosing the short ones. Steal An Egg, Grow a Garden and Fisch are good picks if you already play them.
- Buy the Haunted Harvest Crown and Gourdlord in the hub shop.
- Wait near Plus players and creators in the hub for the four ghost-launcher drops.
- Come back every night until Oct 30 for the new floor, then join the Oct 31 finale. Everything has to be claimed by noon PST on Nov 2.
