Tarkov Our Own Land & Ironclad Proof Guide (1.2.0.0): Where Rogues Spawn Now, GP-25 Setup & Why Your Kills Don't Count (2026)

Our Own Land is the quest BEAR players complain about the most on Prapor's list right now. You need 10 Rogue kills with a GP-25 underbarrel grenade launcher, the Rogues are no longer where most old guides say they are, and this week players on r/EscapefromTarkov were asking whether kills in the new Rogue area count at all. USEC players get a different, much easier version called Ironclad Proof. This guide covers both quests as they work in patch 1.2.0.0 (Season 1 "KORD BREACH"): where Rogues spawn after the Lighthouse rework, how to get the GP-25 and VOG-25 rounds, the 10–30 m arming-distance trap that eats most grenades, and why some kills never show up on the counter.

Quick Answer: What Are Our Own Land and Ironclad Proof?

Our Own Land (BEAR only) and Ironclad Proof (USEC only) are mirror quests from Prapor that require Loyalty Level 3. They pay the same reward and unlock the same items. Accepting either one unlocks the GP-25 Kostyor barter and 40mm VOG-25 rounds at Prapor LL3. (EFT Wiki – Our Own Land, Ironclad Proof)

TL;DR: BEAR players need to hunt Rogues at the Lighthouse chalets, not the water treatment plant. Bring a full-length AK with a GP-25, fire from at least 30 m away, and don't count on Goons or Scav kills. USEC players can farm any 10 targets with the GP-25 anywhere, then hand over 10 FIR Russian grenades.

Why Does Our Own Land Feel So Much Harder in 2026?

Two changes made this quest harder than the old guides suggest:

  • The Rogues moved. The Lighthouse rework moved Rogues off the water treatment plant (WTP) and up to the mountain chalets on the east side of the map. Since the September 8 "Shifting Balance" event, Glukhar holds the WTP in every raid with three followers. If you run the old WTP route, you'll find a boss squad instead of Rogues.
  • Rogues now shoot BEAR and USEC on sight. Back when Rogues ignored USEC players, some people thought this was a USEC-only problem. It isn't any more. Both factions get shot.

So the quest objective itself hasn't changed. The map around it has.

Where Do Rogues Spawn on Lighthouse Now?

According to the EFT Wiki Rogues page, Lighthouse Rogues are now found "at the chalets". That's the compound of luxury houses on the mountain plateau in the middle-east of the map, between the USEC cottage and the Mountain Pass extract. The wiki also lists Rogues on Icebreaker (levels 0 and 1). But trackers tie Our Own Land's objective to Lighthouse, so plan your runs there and don't bet the quest on Icebreaker kills.

What to expect at the chalets:

  • Patrols of 2–4 Rogues. They hold corners, suppress, and push. They don't wear faceshields, but their aim at medium range is close to perfect.
  • Raider-tier gear. Expect MCX-SPEAR, SR-25, KRISS Vector, AA-12 Gen 2 and similar. A Rogue has 775 total HP: 35 head, 180 thorax, 130 stomach, 105 per arm, 110 per leg.
  • The Goons can be nearby. The wiki says Rogues are "led and commanded by the Goons," and the community Lighthouse map marks a boss spawn right by the USEC cottage at the north end of the compound. More on why that matters below.
  • Mountain Pass extract sits right next to the compound, but it needs a Red Rebel ice pick and paracord. Most quest runs plan a different exit.

Rogue health by body part: 35 head, 180 thorax, 775 total

How Do You Get the GP-25 and VOG-25 Grenades?

You can't buy either one until you accept Our Own Land or Ironclad Proof. Neither one can be sold on the flea market.

The GP-25 Kostyor 40mm underbarrel grenade launcher

Which rifle? The GP-25 is built for full-length AK automatic rifles (AK-74 / AKM family, the guns you'd expect). It won't mount on a short AK or on handguards that block it, and the wiki lists a long set of conflicting parts. Build on a stock-length AK handguard, then add the launcher. Use the weapon-select hotkey of the rifle it's mounted on to switch to the GP-25 while the rifle is in your hands.

How many rounds? 10 kills almost never takes 10 rounds. Plan on 20–30 VOG-25 for Our Own Land and spread them across your rig so one death doesn't wipe out your supply.

Why Do Your GP-25 Shots Do Nothing? (The Arming-Distance Trap)

The wiki describes the VOG-25 as a fragmentation round "with an arming distance of 10-30 meters." If the round hits something before it arms, it does not explode. That's the "I hit him right in the chest and nothing happened" clip players post every week.

Key VOG-25 numbers (wiki):

  • 199 damage, 4.5 m maximum explosion radius (1 m core)
  • 15 fragments, fuze time 0.13 s
  • Muzzle velocity only 76 m/s, so the round arcs a lot

How to use it at the chalets:

  • Engage from 30–60 m. Past 30 m every round is armed, and the arc is still easy to judge.
  • Aim at the ground at their feet or at a wall behind them, not at center mass. Splash hits more targets and makes up for the lob.
  • Fire into groups. Rogues stack up while suppressing, so one good VOG can take out two, and both count.
  • Swap back to the rifle to finish. If a Rogue is crippled but alive, the kill has to come from the GP-25 to count. Use the rifle to suppress, then switch back to the launcher for the kill shot.

Why Aren't Your Our Own Land Kills Counting?

This was the exact question in a fresh r/EscapefromTarkov bug thread this week. One player blew up a Rogue in the lower chalet garages and got no credit. The replies were split: one player said Rogue kills had counted for them twice in the past two weeks, and others pointed out that Goons and Scavs also hang around the chalets. Here's what to check:

  • Was it actually a Rogue? Knight, Big Pipe and Birdeye (the Goons) are bosses, not Rogues. Killing them with a GP-25 does not advance Our Own Land. Scavs at the chalets don't count either. Look at the body and the kill feed before you blame a bug.
  • Did the GP-25 get the kill? Kills with your rifle, a hand grenade, or the VOG after you swapped weapons don't count. The kill has to come from the launcher.
  • Is your faction right? Our Own Land is BEAR only. A USEC character gets Ironclad Proof, where any target counts.

"Thank you, warrior. Our homeland won't forget this!" — Prapor, completing Our Own Land (in-game quest text, EFT Wiki)

How Do You Complete Our Own Land Fast? (BEAR Route)

  • Prep at Prapor LL3. Accept the quest, barter for the GP-25, buy 20–30 VOG-25, and build a full-length AK (we cover a cheap build path in our budget PMC loadouts guide).
  • Run Lighthouse and head straight east-center to the chalets. Don't loot on the way. Arriving early means fewer PMCs have already fought the patrol.
  • Pick an elevated spot 30–60 m from the main chalet with rock cover. Wait for a patrol to walk out into the open.
  • Lob into the group, swap to the rifle to suppress, swap back to finish. Reposition after every volley, because Rogues flank.
  • Leave once you're low on VOG or health. A safe 3-kill raid beats a 7-kill death that saves nothing.
  • Repeat. Expect several raids solo. A squad cuts that down a lot, since one player can pull Rogue aggro while the GP-25 player lobs.

PvE tip: In PvE the chalet fight is pure AI, so you can take your time. Just remember the 1.2.0.0 AI overhaul made bots much more aggressive about flanking (see our 1.2.0.0 AI changes breakdown).

How Do You Complete Ironclad Proof Fast? (USEC Route)

Ironclad Proof is much easier because any target counts and the wiki lists no map restriction:

  • Kills: Run Factory or Customs with the GP-25 and blow up Scavs. Tight corridors and Scav groups make it the fastest place to stack splash kills. PMCs count too.
  • Grenades: You need 10 found-in-raid Russian grenades. The wiki accepts RGD-5, F-1, F-1 (reduced delay), RGN, RGO, Zarya stun, VOG-17 Khattabka, VOG-25 Khattabka and 40mm VOG-25. Loot grenade boxes and Scav bodies, and keep any FIR grenades you find instead of throwing them.
  • Don't use your FIR grenades in the fight. It sounds obvious, but players regularly throw their quest grenades during the kill raids.

Is Our Own Land Worth Doing?

Yes, and mostly for the unlocks rather than the cash:

  • Korund-VM front plates at Prapor LL3 are a good mid-tier plate source for the rest of the season. (Plate value breakdown: best budget armor plates.)
  • 23x75mm Zvezda flashbangs for the KS-23.
  • +0.75 Prapor rep pushes you toward LL4 sooner (see our trader loyalty levels guide).
  • 28,000 EXP and up to 316,250 ₽.

It's not Kappa-required, so if you're only chasing the Collector, you can skip it. Just remember that the Season 1 seasonal profile wipes on December 7, 2026, so a quest you've been putting off has a hard deadline on seasonal characters.

FAQ

Where do Rogues spawn for Our Own Land in 1.2.0.0? At the mountain chalets on Lighthouse, not the water treatment plant. The Lighthouse rework moved them, and Glukhar's squad now holds the WTP every raid. The wiki also lists Rogues on Icebreaker, but plan your Our Own Land runs on Lighthouse.

Do Goons count for Our Own Land? No. Knight, Big Pipe and Birdeye are bosses, not Rogues. Only Rogue kills made with the GP-25 advance the objective, and Scavs at the chalets don't count either.

How do I get the GP-25 in Tarkov? Accept Our Own Land (BEAR) or Ironclad Proof (USEC), then barter at Prapor LL3 for 1 Intelligence folder + 2 OFZ 30x165mm shells. VOG-25 rounds unlock at Prapor LL3 at the same time. Neither one can be sold on the flea market.

Why doesn't my GP-25 grenade explode? The VOG-25 has a 10–30 m arming distance. If it hits something closer than that, it won't detonate. Fire from 30 m or more.

What's the difference between Our Own Land and Ironclad Proof? Our Own Land is BEAR only and needs 10 Rogue kills with the GP-25. Ironclad Proof is USEC only and needs any 10 GP-25 kills plus 10 found-in-raid Russian grenades. Rewards and unlocks are identical.

Is Our Own Land required for Kappa? No, neither quest is on the Collector list. You do them for the Korund-VM plate and Zvezda unlocks, Prapor rep and EXP.
