FC 27 Club Members get a free Hall of FUT David Luiz Pathway Evolution on 1 November, but only if you log into both FC 26 and FC 27 before 1 November at 00:00 Pacific Time. That is 07:00 UTC on Sunday 1 November, so you have until Saturday night in the Americas and Sunday morning in Europe. EA SPORTS FC 27 announced the Evo on 28 October in a news post titled "Become an FC 27 Club Member by Nov. 1, Get a David Luiz-Inspired Evolution" (EA, 28 Oct 2026). It is a Pathway Evo with three branches, each based on a moment from Luiz's career.
We are in Season 2 of FC 27, which started on 22 October, and the Ultimate Scream promo is live. The game launched on 25 September. Below: the deadline in your time zone, which logins count, what each path gives, and which path we would pick.

What is the FC 27 David Luiz Evolution?
It is a Club Member reward, not a store or objective Evo. EA describes it as "a special Hall of FUT - David Luiz Pathway Evolution, based on the iconic career of this legendary defender. Once unlocked, this Evolution will be available on November 1 and is available for you to complete at your own pace." (EA)
Two things people misread:
- It is not a David Luiz card. You apply the Evo to an eligible Player Item from your club, and it gets upgrades themed on Luiz's career. The actual Base Hall of FUT David Luiz item is a separate card: 85 OVR CB, PAC 79, SHO 69, PAS 78, DRI 75, DEF 84, PHY 83, 3-star Skill Moves and 3-star Weak Foot, untradeable, per fut.gg.
- It is a Pathway Evo. Pathways are FC 27's branching Evolutions: one Evo, several upgrade routes, and you choose. If you're new to them, our FC 27 Evolutions Pathways explainer covers how they work.
The Evo comes on top of the Club Member rewards that have been live since launch. EA lists them as "Red Bull-branded kits and crests in Football Ultimate Team™, an AXP multiplier in The Grounds, and Gareth Bale in Manager Career and Player Career." EA's Club Membership page adds three Red Bull Club Member kits, three matching crests, a TIFO and four XL TIFOs in FUT (EA, Club Membership). When is the FC 27 Club Member deadline in my time zone?
EA's wording, from the FC 27 game disclaimers: "You must log into FC 26 and FC 27 before November 1, 2026 at 12:00am Pacific Time with an EA Account while connected to the internet." (EA, FC 27 game disclaimers)
Midnight Pacific is 07:00 UTC, because Los Angeles is still on daylight time at that moment. Watch the US clock change: it happens at 02:00 local time on 1 November, so New York has already fallen back to EST when the deadline hits. Its cut-off is 02:00 EST, and the last safe minute is the second 01:59 of the night. Europe changed its clocks on 25 October, so London is on GMT and Paris on CET.

Don't leave it to the last hour. Logins only count while you're online, and FC 27 servers have had bad days this season. Do both logins tonight if you can.
How do you become an FC 27 Club Member?
EA's Club Membership FAQ sets out two steps (EA):
- Log into EA SPORTS FC 26 on a supported platform with an EA Account before 1 November 2026.
- Log into EA SPORTS FC 27 on a supported platform with the same EA Account before 1 November 2026.
Already an FC 26 Club Member? You still have to do it. EA's answer is blunt: membership carries over "Not automatically, but all you have to do is log in to EA SPORTS FC™ 27 on a supported platform with the same EA Account used to log into EA SPORTS FC™ 26 before 1 November, 2026." And if you skip a year: players who don't play both games before 1 November "will not be eligible to become a Club Member in EA SPORTS FC™ 27."
Order doesn't matter. Logging into FC 27 first and then FC 26 also works; EA only requires both logins before the cut-off.
Which logins count, and which don't?

The exclusions are EA's own: the disclaimer "Excludes login via EA SPORTS FC Companion or any trials (including EA Play Trial)". Three practical traps:
- The Web App isn't named either way. EA excludes the Companion app and says nothing about the browser Web App. Don't rely on it. Boot the actual game.
- Platform switchers: your FC 26 and FC 27 can be on different platforms, as long as both are tied to the same EA Account. A PS4 FC 26 save logged into a different EA Account from your PS5 FC 27 won't link.
- You need access to the full FC 26. Trials don't count, so the FC 26 login has to come from the full game. It works the other way too: one FC 26 player on r/EASportsFC said this week that FC 26 was showing them a 30% discount pop-up for FC 27. If you're seeing that offer and planning to buy, buying and logging in before 1 November is what gets you Club Member status this year.
What does each David Luiz path give?
EA has published the upgrade areas for each branch, not the numbers. Here is everything confirmed so far, in EA's words:

EA's own summary of each path:
- The Finisher "leans into this facet of Luiz' legacy as a set-piece master." Dead Ball is the only FC 27 PlayStyle EA ties directly to set pieces.
- The Champion is for "a composed, all-around centreback with a championship mentality", with upgrades "up to various caps". FC 27 has six Defending PlayStyles (Aerial Fortress, Anticipate, Block, Intercept, Jockey, Slide Tackle), per EA's PlayStyles article. EA hasn't said which one this path gives.
- A National Hero is for "aggressive ball-playing action". EA hasn't named the build-up PlayStyle. Our guess is something from the Passing group (Long Ball Pass or Pinged Pass), but treat that as a guess until the Evo is live.
What's not published yet: eligibility (position, max OVR, rarity), the attribute caps, the number of levels and the challenges per level. The Evo unlocks on 1 November and we'll update this guide once the numbers are visible in-game.

Which David Luiz path should you pick?
Without caps, nobody can rank the paths by numbers yet. Anyone giving you final ratings today is guessing. What you can do is pick by what your card lacks, because Evo upgrades are capped and stats your card already has above the cap are wasted. EA's third tip says so: "Knowing your Player Item's base attributes is key to understanding the full extent of how the Evolution affects them."
Our order for a typical Rivals or Champions squad:
- A National Hero (Pace, Physical, Passing, Aggression) if your defender is slow. EA reduced AI defending assistance for Competitive gameplay in FC 27, and a lot of the post-launch complaints on r/EASportsFC are about opponents sprinting at you all game. Pace on a centre-back is the stat you feel most often. If EA's eligibility turns out to include CDMs, this path suits them too.
- The Champion (Defending, Physical, Passing, Penalties) if your card already has pace but weak defending numbers, or you want a guaranteed Defending PlayStyle. Wait to see which one. In our view, Jockey or Intercept would help more cards than Aerial Fortress, but that depends on the card.
- The Finisher (Shooting, FK Accuracy, Shot Power, Long Shots, Dead Ball) only if you want a dedicated free-kick taker and your defence is already sorted. It's the most fun branch, but shooting stats on a defender rarely change a match. If the Evo turns out to accept attacking positions, this path becomes much stronger.
You don't have to commit straight away. EA: "Up until you claim a level, you can swap your Evolution Pathway at any time." Once you've claimed a level, treat the choice as permanent.
Check the chain preview before you start. EA's second tip: "use the Evolution Chain Preview to see how you can potentially further evolve your Player Item." An upgrade that pushes your card over another Evo's max OVR or attribute limit can lock it out of a later Evo. We explained how that happens in our Creep Inside to Side Stopper chain guide.
What can't you do while the Evo is applied?
EA repeats the standard Evolution rules in the announcement:
- The card becomes untradeable while the Evolution is applied.
- While it's in progress you can't discard it or use it in SBCs.

What did last year's Club Member Evo look like?
This is the second year in a row EA has paid Club Members with an Evo, so FC 26 gives a rough idea of what to expect.
- FC 26 (October 2025): a Jamal Musiala-inspired Evo for players who logged into FC 25 and FC 26 before 1 November 2025. EA's FC 26 announcement said it "adds the Technical+ PlayStyle and 5 skill moves"*.
- FC 26 launch Club Member Reward Evo: a small ST Evo (max 83 OVR) with Role+ upgrades and no matches, per fut.gg's FC 26 database. Expect the same rush to check eligibility on 1 November.
FC 27's version is more ambitious: three branches instead of one fixed upgrade, and a PlayStyle on every branch. It also arrived four days before the deadline, compared with 17 days for FC 26's Musiala Evo, so there's less time to act on it.
Is it worth logging into FC 26 just for this?
Yes, if you still have FC 26 installed or can download it. It takes a few minutes: boot FC 26 online, reach the main menu with your EA Account, close it. In return you get the David Luiz Evo, Red Bull kits and crests, the Bale Career item, the Grounds AXP multiplier, and any Club Member drops EA adds later. EA says to "be on the lookout for additional Club Member rewards as FC 27 approaches the new year and beyond."
Probably not, if you'd have to buy FC 26 just for the login. You'd be deciding blind: the caps won't be visible until 1 November, after the login deadline has passed, so you can't wait for them. One Evo with unpublished caps plus cosmetics isn't worth a full-price game on its own.

When is the FC 27 Club Member deadline? Log into FC 26 and FC 27 before 1 November 2026 at 00:00 Pacific Time. That is 07:00 UTC on Sunday 1 November: 06:59 is the last safe minute in London, 07:59 in Paris and 01:59 EST in New York (after its clocks fall back). In Los Angeles it's 23:59 on Saturday 31 October.
Does the FC Companion app or the Web App count for Club Membership? The Companion app doesn't. EA excludes it by name. The Web App isn't mentioned either way, so boot the full game on console or PC to be safe.
Does EA Play Trial count for FC 27 Club Member? No. EA excludes "any trials (including EA Play Trial)". You need a login in the full game.
I was an FC 26 Club Member. Do I need to do anything? Yes. EA says membership doesn't carry over automatically. Log into FC 27 with the same EA Account you used for FC 26 before 1 November.
When can I start the David Luiz Evo? On 1 November. It appears in the Rewards section of the Evolutions menu. EA hasn't published an end date and says you can complete it at your own pace.
What are the David Luiz Evo requirements? EA hasn't published eligibility, caps or challenges yet. It has only named the upgrade areas and PlayStyle for each of the three paths. We'll update this answer when the Evo goes live on 1 November.
