Genshin Banner Schedule October 2026: Current 7.1 Phase 2 Banners and When the Next Banner Starts

Version 7.1 is in its second half. The Vesna and Vodyanitsa debut wishes closed on 13 October, the Skirk and Escoffier reruns took over the same evening, and everything left on the calendar now counts down to one afternoon: 3 November 2026.

This page was rebuilt on 19 October 2026 from HoYoverse's own in-game announcement feed, which had 36 live notices at the time we pulled it, plus HoYoLAB's official news list. Every banner window below is quoted from a wish notice you can open in-game. Anything HoYoverse has not published, including the whole 7.2 line-up, is labelled as a projection.

Quick answer: The current Genshin banners are "Void Star's Advent" (Skirk, Cryo) and "La Chanson Cerise" (Escoffier, Cryo), plus an Epitome Invocation with Azurelight and Symphonist of Scents. All three run 2026/10/13 18:00 to 2026/11/03 14:59 server time. Both character banners boost the same three 4-stars: Dahlia, Candace and Mika. The next banner is Version 7.2 Phase 1, projected for 4 November 2026 after maintenance at 06:00 (UTC+8). Its line-up is not announced. The reveal normally comes at the Version Special Program, which we project for Friday 23 October. As of 19 October, 16:47 UTC, HoYoverse has not posted the announcement for that stream.

What is the current Genshin banner schedule?

One phase is live, and it is the last one of Version 7.1. There is no Phase 3.

Two details on that table matter more than they look.

First, the 4-star line-up is identical on both character banners. It was the same in Phase 1 too. So the 4-stars give you no reason to pick Skirk's banner over Escoffier's. Choose on the 5-star alone.

Second, both banners draw from one pity counter. The notice says so directly: "The wish guarantee count for 'Character Event Wish' and 'Character Event Wish-2' is shared, and is accumulated between both 'Character Event Wish' and 'Character Event Wish-2.' This wish guarantee count is independent of the guarantee counts of other types of wishes." Pity you build on Skirk counts toward Escoffier, and anything you leave unused on 3 November carries into Version 7.2. Our pity system guide explains the full carry-over.

When does the current Genshin banner end on your server?

3 November 2026 at 14:59 server time. That is three hours earlier than the 17:59 deadline Phase 1 used on 13 October, and it is the easiest way to miss this banner. Phase 1 handed straight over to Phase 2 at 17:59 with no downtime. Phase 2 has no successor inside 7.1, so its notices close it at 14:59, ahead of the version update.

The wish notices tag the deadline as server-local time. Each region hits 14:59 on its own clock, so the deadline does not arrive at the same moment everywhere:

ServerPhase 2 ends (server clock)In UTCYour wall clock, if you live there
Asia (UTC+8)3 Nov, 14:593 Nov, 06:5914:59 in Singapore, Hong Kong, Taipei
Europe (UTC+1)3 Nov, 14:593 Nov, 13:5914:59 in Berlin and Paris, 13:59 in London
America (UTC-5)3 Nov, 14:593 Nov, 19:5914:59 in New York, 11:59 in Los Angeles

Genshin's server offsets are fixed and never change for daylight saving. In October that makes the American server one hour behind New York. Once US clocks go back on 1 November, the server and the East Coast match again. The same happens in Europe after 25 October, when Berlin returns to UTC+1. By deadline day, server time and local time line up for most players in both regions. That one-hour gap is only a problem if you are planning around it during October.

Skirk or Escoffier: which Phase 2 banner fits your account?

Both 5-stars are Cryo, and both banners boost the same 4-stars. You are choosing between two very different units, and the boosted 4-stars happen to suit both of them.

The Latest on Escoffier official HoYoLAB artwork, published 11 October 2026

Skirk is an on-field Cryo sword DPS. She first released in Version 5.7 on 18 June 2025. Her whole kit is built around Hydro and Cryo teammates. Her A4 passive, Return to Oblivion, gives her one stack for each distinct Hydro or Cryo party member who hits with their element, up to three. At three stacks, her in-mode Normal Attacks deal 170% of their original damage, compared with 110% at one stack. That third stack is the jump that matters. Her utility passive also gives the whole party +1 Elemental Skill level if every party member is Hydro or Cryo and the team has at least one of each.

That is why this phase's 4-stars are worth more than usual for her. Dahlia and Candace are Hydro, and Mika is Cryo. Every boosted 4-star counts toward her stacks and her party-wide Skill bonus. Losing the 50/50 to a 4-star still leaves you with a usable Skirk teammate.

Escoffier is a Cryo polearm support and healer. She is the pull if you already run Cryo or Hydro teams and want a healer who also adds damage, rather than a new main DPS. If you are torn, we compared the two banner by banner in Skirk or Escoffier. Each one also has a full build: Skirk build and Escoffier team comps.

Both notices also confirm a "Test Run" trial event while the wishes are live. You can try either character in a fixed line-up before spending, and you get rewards for clearing it.

What is on the Genshin weapon banner right now?

The Version 7.1 Phase 2 Epitome Invocation featuring Azurelight and Symphonist of Scents

The Epitome Invocation lines up with the two character banners: a sword for Skirk and a polearm for Escoffier.

Epitomized Path is active. In the notice's words, you can "use Epitomized Path to chart a course towards a promotional 5-star weapon." Chart the one you actually want before your first pull. Fate Points reset when the banner closes, so a course charted here cannot be finished on a 7.2 weapon banner. If you are halfway there, finish it before 3 November, 14:59.

When is the next Genshin banner, and who is on it?

The next banner is Version 7.2 Phase 1, projected for Wednesday 4 November 2026. Nobody outside HoYoverse can name its line-up yet.

Here is what is established and what is not, as of 19 October:

  • The date is a projection, not an announcement. Version 7.1's own update notices expire at 2026-11-04 06:00 (UTC+8), which is 3 November at 22:00 UTC. That fits seven straight 42-day version cycles and Genshin's usual 06:00 (UTC+8) update hour, but a notice expiry is not a maintenance announcement. The notice that makes the date official is the Version 7.2 Update Maintenance Preview, which HoYoverse has posted at 11:10 (UTC+8) on the Monday before each recent launch. Here, that would be 2 November. The full evidence is in our 7.2 release date breakdown.
  • The Special Program is projected for Friday 23 October. Recent Special Programs aired 11 to 12 days before launch: 7.0's on 31 July and 7.1's on 12 September. On r/Genshin_Impact today, the thread asking whether the 7.2 livestream is this Friday was answered with confidence, and one player put it as "Yes, if there isn't any important thing happening in real life, it is supposed to be this Friday." But HoYoverse posted the 7.1 stream announcement five days ahead, and no 7.2 announcement had appeared in HoYoLAB's official news by 16:47 UTC on 19 October. If it lands on 19 or 20 October, Friday still holds. If it lands later, expect Saturday 24 October.
  • The line-up is not announced. HoYoverse's latest character introductions are Mitya ("Genius At Play") and Valeriy ("Discipline Down to the Second"), both posted on HoYoLAB on 29 September. Neither post names a version. They are widely expected in 7.2, but that is not confirmed. Any "7.2 banner list" you see this week is from leaks. We track what is official on the 7.2 characters page.
  • The stream brings redemption codes. The last three Special Programs each gave out codes with short expiry windows. We update the livestream codes tracker during the broadcast with exact drop and expiry times.

We will update this page when the Special Program confirms the 7.2 Phase 1 banners. Until then, treat any specific 7.2 name as unconfirmed.

What else ends before the next banner?

The banner is not the only deadline. Several timers close a day or more earlier. This is the rest of Version 7.1 as printed in the live notices, in order. Times are server time unless a row says otherwise.

The Carefree Snowball Fight event banner, running 21 October to 2 November 2026

The Battle Pass is the one people miss. Moontrace closes on 2 November at 03:59, a day and a half before the banners, so any unclaimed BP rewards need collecting before then.

The Imaginarium Theater change is the other trap. The Version 7.1 update notes set the second season's Opening Characters as Yelan, Aino, Flins, Fischl, Zhongli and Kachina, with Qiqi, Odette, Vesna and Jahoda as Special Guest Stars. Cryo and Anemo drop out of the required elements on 1 November. If you want to clear the current Hydro, Cryo and Anemo season with a Cryo team, you have until 31 October. The current season is covered in our Imaginarium Theater October 2026 guide.

Which free 5-star characters can you still claim before the banner ends?

Two selectors are still live, and both end at the same moment as the banners: 3 November, 14:59 server time.

  • "Across the Frozen Wilds, Honing One's Edge" lets you invite any 5-star from the standard wish, Wanderlust Invocation. You can use it as soon as you have unlocked Wishes.
  • "Tabletop Troupe: A Gathering on Adventure's Eve" lets you invite an event-exclusive 5-star: Tartaglia, Nilou, Baizhu, Chiori, Clorinde or Varesa. It requires Adventure Rank 18 and completing the Archon Quest "A Rekviem for the Underworld".

Players are still split on the second pick. In a GenshinImpactTips thread this weekend, one reply put it simply: "Varessa is the best choice", on the grounds that most players pull Iansan eventually. Another argued for Clorinde because the asker had no Iansan. Both points are fair. We went through the full choice, including which picks also get a free constellation, in the free 5-star selector guide.

What should you do before 3 November?

  • Decide Skirk, Escoffier or save by 2 November. Both banners close at 14:59 server time on 3 November, which is three hours earlier than the last swap.
  • Finish any Epitomized Path course. Fate Points do not carry onto the 7.2 weapon banner.
  • Claim both free 5-stars. They close at the same moment as the wishes.
  • Collect Moontrace rewards by 2 November, 03:59.
  • Clear Imaginarium Theater with Cryo or Anemo teams by 31 October if you rely on them.
  • Watch for the Special Program announcement. The livestream codes it brings expire quickly.

FAQ

When does the current Genshin banner end? On 3 November 2026 at 14:59 server time for all three Phase 2 wishes: Skirk's "Void Star's Advent", Escoffier's "La Chanson Cerise" and the Epitome Invocation. That is 06:59 UTC on Asia, 13:59 UTC on Europe and 19:59 UTC on America.

What is the next Genshin banner after Skirk and Escoffier? Version 7.2 Phase 1, projected to start on 4 November 2026 after maintenance at 06:00 (UTC+8). HoYoverse has not announced its line-up. It will be revealed at the Version 7.2 Special Program, projected for Friday 23 October 2026.

Which 4-stars are on the Skirk and Escoffier banners? Dahlia (Hydro), Candace (Hydro) and Mika (Cryo). They are the same on both character banners, according to notices 21888 and 21889.

Does pity carry over from Skirk's banner to the 7.2 banners? Yes. Character Event Wish and Character Event Wish-2 share one guarantee count. That count carries into the next version's character banners. It is separate from your weapon and standard wish counts.

Is there a Phase 3 in Genshin 7.1? No. Version 7.1 has two phases: Vesna and Vodyanitsa from the Version 7.1 update on 23 September (UTC+8) to 13 October, then Skirk and Escoffier from 13 October to 3 November. The next new banner comes with Version 7.2.

Why does the banner end at 14:59 and not 17:59? Phase 1 of 7.1 closed at 17:59 on 13 October because Phase 2 opened at 18:00 the same evening, with no maintenance in between. Phase 2 is the last phase of the version, so its notices close it at 14:59 on 3 November, hours before the projected 7.2 maintenance.
