No Soul Shall Pass is a free FC 27 Evo for goalkeepers: +3 OVR up to an 81 cap, Diving, Handling, Reflexes and Kicking boosts, and a level 2 choice between Sweeper Keeper++ and Ball Playing Keeper++, for 3 matches and no wins. Only keepers rated 78 to 80 reach 81. The bigger decision is the order: do it before the Season Pass keeper Evo, Line of Sight, and by the entry limits a keeper rated 77 or lower can take both. EA SPORTS FC 27 added the Evo on Monday 2 November at 18:00 UTC, during Season 2 (FC Heritage), and you have until Thursday 12 November to start it.
We pulled fut.gg's eligible and evolved player lists on 3 November and matched all 2,135 eligible keepers to their evolved versions. Every total below refers to those cards. Below are the requirements, both levels, the path choice, the Line of Sight order, and the shortlist.
TLDR: FC 27 No Soul Shall Pass in 30 seconds. Free, one use. Any GK rated 80 or lower with up to 7 PlayStyles. 2 levels, 3 matches, no wins, in Squad Battles (Semi-Pro or higher), Rivals, Champions or Live Events. You get +3 OVR (cap 81) plus Diving, Handling, Reflexes and Kicking, then pick Path A (Sweeper Keeper++, 1v1 Close Down, Reflexes, pace) or Path B (Ball Playing Keeper++, Long Ball Pass, Diving, Positioning, weak foot). Path B adds about twice as much to the headline GK stats; fut.gg's rating still lists Path A on 94% of keepers. Got Line of Sight from the Season Pass? Do No Soul Shall Pass first, on a keeper rated 77 or lower, and check in game that Line of Sight still lists the evolved keeper. Start by Thursday 12 November, 18:00 UTC; finish by Thursday 19 November, 18:00 UTC.

What is the FC 27 No Soul Shall Pass Evolution?
No Soul Shall Pass is a free, two-level Pathway Evolution, so you choose one upgrade option at level 2. Its in-game description, reproduced on fut.gg, reads: "Something guards the gate between the posts. Turn your keeper into an unholy wall that sends every shot back into the darkness it came from." (fut.gg, No Soul Shall Pass)
EA doesn't publish an article for weekly Evolutions. The requirements, upgrades and deadlines below come from fut.gg's copy of the in-game Evolution data, pulled on 3 November. The start and finish deadlines match the dates FUT Mind lists.
It's the second free keeper Evo in two weeks, after Poor Sophia. Poor Sophia added up to +5 OVR with an 83 cap, so any keeper it lifted above 80 can't enter this one.
What are the No Soul Shall Pass requirements?
| Requirement | Value |
|---|---|
| Position | GK |
| Max OVR | 80 |
| Max PlayStyles | 7 |
| Cost | Free (0 coins, 0 FC Points) |
| Uses | 1 |
| Released | Monday 2 November 2026, 18:00 UTC |
| Start by | Thursday 12 November 2026, 18:00 UTC |
| Finish by | Thursday 19 November 2026, 18:00 UTC |
The pool is almost entirely base cards: 2,132 of the 2,135 are base items, plus 3 Team of the Week keepers. Split by tier, that's 1,058 bronze, 892 silver and 185 gold, and 209 of them are women's keepers.
What upgrades does No Soul Shall Pass give?
| Level | Matches | Upgrades (cap) |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Play 1 | +3 OVR (81), Diving +5 (78), Handling +5 (81), Reflexes +5 (81), Kicking +6 (81) |
| 2, Path A | Play 2 | Sweeper Keeper++, 1v1 Close Down (if under 3 PlayStyles), Reflexes +5 (83), Reactions +5 (76), Acceleration +10 (45), Sprint Speed +10 (45) |
| 2, Path B | Play 2 | Ball Playing Keeper++, Long Ball Pass (if under 3 PlayStyles), Diving +5 (80), Positioning +5 (82), Reactions +3 (78), Weak Foot +2 (3 stars) |
Both levels accept Squad Battles on Semi-Pro or higher, Rivals, Champions or Live Events, with the Evo keeper in your team. You don't need to win or keep a clean sheet.
The OVR rule is simple, and fut.gg's evolved list matches it on all 2,135 cards: final OVR = base + 3, capped at 81. So a 78, 79 or 80 finishes at 81, and 74 keepers are rated that high. Everyone else gains exactly 3.
The PlayStyle only arrives if the keeper holds fewer than 3. That's 2,040 of the 2,135. Another 69 already own 1v1 Close Down and 106 already own Long Ball Pass, so for them the PlayStyle half of a path is wasted.
Which No Soul Shall Pass path should you pick?
On paper, Path B is the bigger upgrade. We replayed both paths on every keeper's base face stats, and our numbers reproduce fut.gg's evolved stats on all 2,135 cards. Counting only what the level 2 choice adds on top of level 1, across the four headline GK numbers (Diving, Handling, Reflexes and Positioning), Path B adds an average of 9.4 points and Path A 4.6. Path B wins that count on 2,128 keepers; Path A wins on 3, and 4 are tied.
The reason is simple arithmetic. Among those four stats, Path A only touches Reflexes, so it can add 5 at most. Path B adds to two, Diving and Positioning, so it can add up to 10. Both shrink on gold keepers, who already sit near the caps, but Path B still adds almost three times as much there.
Yet fut.gg lists Path A on 2,017 keepers (94%) and Path B on 118. fut.gg shows one path per card, the one its GG Rating scores highest, and that rating also counts Reactions (+5 on A against +3 on B), pace and the Role++. Neither choice is wrong. The question is what you want the keeper to do:
- Take Path A if you play a high line. Sweeper Keeper++ plus 1v1 Close Down is the rushing-out package, and the pace boost helps a keeper who comes off their line. On 284 of the Path A keepers, though, the pace boost doesn't move the face Speed number at all, because their pace already sits at or close to the 45 cap.
- Take Path B for shot-stopping numbers and distribution. More Diving and Positioning, Long Ball Pass and Ball Playing Keeper++. Weak foot goes up to 3 stars only on the 1,087 keepers below 3 stars; the other 1,048 gain nothing there.

Should you do No Soul Shall Pass before Line of Sight?
Yes, if you can get both. Line of Sight is the free keeper Evo you unlock at level 7 of the Standard Season Pass (fut.gg, Line of Sight). It takes the same keepers, rated 80 or lower with up to 7 PlayStyles and no PlayStyle+, and gives +40 OVR up to 83 across 3 matches in any mode. Its caps are Diving 83, Handling 84, Reflexes 82, Kicking 81, Positioning 81 and Reactions 79. Level 2 also adds Footwork, but only to a keeper holding fewer than 3 PlayStyles. You have until Thursday 10 December, 18:00 UTC to finish it. For the rest of the pass, see our Season Pass SP math.
Both Evos stop at 80 on entry, so order decides everything:
| Your keeper | No Soul Shall Pass first | Line of Sight first |
|---|---|---|
| Rated 77 or lower (2,061 keepers) | Ends at 80 or lower, then Line of Sight takes it to 83 | Ends at 83, No Soul Shall Pass is locked |
| Rated 78 to 80 (74 keepers) | Ends at 81, Line of Sight is locked | Ends at 83, No Soul Shall Pass is locked |
This is our reading of the entry limits; neither Evo on fut.gg lists a rule against a previous Evo. fut.gg's chain calculator returned no results for this pair on 3 November, so check in game that Line of Sight still lists your evolved keeper before you rely on it.
One Reddit complaint gets this right. In the r/EASportsFC thread on the new Evo, one player said Line of Sight overwrites the upgrades, and another said they were only doing No Soul Shall Pass for the PlayStyle before the Season Pass Evo. That's the right way to think about it. Line of Sight's +40 boosts push almost every keeper to its caps, so most of No Soul Shall Pass's stat gains disappear underneath. What carries through the chain:
- The PlayStyle: 1v1 Close Down or Long Ball Pass. Line of Sight's only PlayStyle is Footwork, so this is how a chained keeper gets a second one.
- The Role++: Sweeper Keeper++ or Ball Playing Keeper++.
- One stat point above Line of Sight's caps: Reflexes 83 on Path A, or Positioning 82 on Path B.
- Path A's pace or Path B's weak foot, which Line of Sight doesn't touch.
So in a chain, the "Path B adds twice the stats" result from the last section disappears. Both paths finish with almost the same GK numbers. Pick the path for the PlayStyle and the Role you want, not for the stats.
Watch the 3-PlayStyle cap. Both Evos only add a PlayStyle while the keeper holds fewer than 3, and No Soul Shall Pass goes first. A keeper that already holds two PlayStyles, neither of them Footwork, gets its third from No Soul Shall Pass and then misses Line of Sight's Footwork. That's 72 of the chain-eligible keepers.
Which players are best for No Soul Shall Pass?
It depends on whether you also have Line of Sight.
With Line of Sight: pick by height and PlayStyles, not rating
After both Evos, almost every keeper rated 77 or lower lands on the same 83 card with the same capped GK stats. Rating stops mattering. What still separates them is what the Evos don't change: height, the PlayStyles a card already has, base pace and weak foot.
- Height. 273 of the 2,061 chain-eligible keepers are 195 cm or taller, and 34 are 200 cm or taller. FC Utrecht's Kevin Gadellaa (62, 210 cm) is the tallest card in the pool, and the Reddit thread already expects to see a lot of him. Ipswich's Kjell Scherpen (76, 206 cm) is the tallest gold option.
- PlayStyles: one, and not Footwork, is the sweet spot. Those 209 keepers finish the chain with three: their own, the No Soul Shall Pass PlayStyle and Footwork. Scherpen (Cross Claimer) is one of them. The 121 that already hold Footwork plus one other also finish with three, among them Chelsea's Livia Peng (76) and PAOK's Jiří Pavlenka (74, 196 cm), who both hold Footwork and Far Reach.
- No PlayStyles yet. The 1,432 keepers with none, Gadellaa included, finish with two: the No Soul Shall Pass PlayStyle and Footwork.
Without Line of Sight: the 78 to 80 keepers
If you've already used Line of Sight or won't reach Season Pass level 7, a keeper rated 78 to 80 gets the most from this Evo alone, because it finishes at 81. Ranked by Diving + Handling + Reflexes + Positioning after the path fut.gg lists:
| Keeper | Club | OVR | Listed path | DIV / HAN / REF / POS after | Total |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lucas Chevalier | PSG | 80 → 81 | B | 83 / 80 / 84 / 82 | 329 |
| Alyssa Naeher | Chicago Stars | 80 → 81 | A | 79 / 81 / 83 / 86 | 329 |
| Fernando Muslera (TOTW) | Estudiantes | 80 → 81 | A | 81 / 81 / 83 / 82 | 327 |
| Konstantinos Tzolakis | Hull City | 79 → 81 | B | 80 / 81 / 83 / 82 | 326 |
| Anatoliy Trubin | SL Benfica | 80 → 81 | A | 78 / 81 / 84 / 83 | 326 |
| Noelia Ramos | CD Tenerife | 80 → 81 | B | 80 / 81 / 84 / 81 | 326 |
| Abby Smith | Denver Summit | 80 → 81 | B | 80 / 81 / 82 / 83 | 326 |
| Pierce Charles (TOTW) | QPR | 80 → 81 | B | 82 / 81 / 81 / 82 | 326 |
| Moritz Nicolas | M'gladbach | 79 → 81 | A | 84 / 81 / 83 / 78 | 326 |
Nicolas finishes with the highest Diving in the pool at 84, because stats already above an Evo cap stay where they are. Trubin, at 199 cm, is the tallest name on the list.
Who gains the least? An 80-rated keeper gains just 1 OVR. Our median gain on those four stats is 5 points for an 80 against 20 points for a 70 to 72, because the caps squeeze the gains out of keepers who are already good.
Is No Soul Shall Pass worth doing?
Yes. It's free and takes 3 matches you'd probably play anyway, with no wins needed. The real choice is which keeper to use, and the order above matters more than the path.
It won't fix the thing FC 27 keepers get blamed for, though. One reply in the Reddit thread said a 99-rated keeper would still be pointless until EA deals with near-post and low driven finishes. EA's 28 October Gameplay Developer Notes list it as an ongoing investigation, not a fix: "Assessing the accuracy of specific shot types alongside goalkeeper positioning." Our Low Driven Shot guide tracks where that stands. And if you're unsure what Sweeper Keeper++ or Ball Playing Keeper++ does, our Player Roles explainer covers how Roles and the ++ tag work.
Skip it, or pick a different keeper, if:
- Your only candidate is a Poor Sophia keeper that finished above 80. It can't enter.
- You plan to use Line of Sight on a 78 to 80 keeper. Line of Sight takes it to 83; this Evo would lock that out at 81.
- Your keeper already holds 3 PlayStyles and sits at the caps, which leaves mainly the Role++.
No time for Evo matches? No Soul Shall Pass is only 3 games, but Line of Sight, Two Faces of Fear and the Season Pass grind add up fast. We can clear them for you:
- EA FC 27 Evolutions Boost — Evolution and Pathway matches completed on your account.
- EA FC 27 FUT Champions Boost — Champions qualification and Finals wins played by pro players.
- EA FC 27 Coins — for a cheap tall keeper to put through both Evos, or the squad in front of it.
FAQ
What are the FC 27 No Soul Shall Pass requirements? The card must be a GK rated 80 or lower with up to 7 PlayStyles. It's free and can be used once.
How many matches does No Soul Shall Pass take? Three matches with no wins: one for level 1 and two for level 2, in Squad Battles on Semi-Pro or higher, Rivals, Champions or Live Events, with the Evo keeper in your team.
When does No Soul Shall Pass expire? Start it by Thursday 12 November 2026, 18:00 UTC, and finish it by Thursday 19 November 2026, 18:00 UTC.
Should I pick Sweeper Keeper or Ball Playing Keeper? Path B (Ball Playing Keeper++) adds about twice as much Diving, Handling, Reflexes and Positioning on average. Path A (Sweeper Keeper++) brings 1v1 Close Down, more Reactions and pace, and it's the path fut.gg lists on 94% of keepers. If you'll chain into Line of Sight, choose by PlayStyle and Role, since the stats end up almost the same.
Can you do No Soul Shall Pass and Line of Sight on the same keeper? By the entry limits, yes, if the keeper is rated 77 or lower and you do No Soul Shall Pass first. Line of Sight first takes the card to 83, above this Evo's 80 limit. Line of Sight then adds Footwork if the keeper still holds fewer than 3 PlayStyles. Check in game that Line of Sight lists your evolved keeper.
Does No Soul Shall Pass give a PlayStyle? Yes, 1v1 Close Down on Path A or Long Ball Pass on Path B, but only if the keeper holds fewer than 3 PlayStyles. That's 2,040 of the 2,135 eligible keepers.
