Quick answer: The WoW Forever Collector's Edition costs $150 on the Blizzard Gear Store and showed Sold Out when we checked on November 3. Blizzard says restock orders "are expected to be shipped and delivered February 2027". It contains the $79.99 Warcraft Forever Collection as a digital code plus physical extras: a Dwarf and Bear statue, a Zephras Isle mousepad, art prints, pins and a companion journal. The digital editions are still on sale: Skyborne Heroic Pack $29.99, Skyborne Epic Pack $59.99, Warcraft Forever Collection $79.99 (on sale until January 11, 2027). None of them is required: Forever itself is included with a WoW subscription or Game Time. The $29.99 pack never included beta access, and the beta closed on October 23 anyway.

Launch is tomorrow, November 4 at 3:00 p.m. PST (23:00 UTC), and the edition question has changed since September. The beta is over, name reservation ends today, and the physical Collector's Edition is no longer something you can order and hold by launch. This page compares all five ways in, with live prices, and says which one still makes sense on launch day. If your question is only whether you need to pay anything beyond a subscription, our is WoW Forever free guide answers that one.

How much is the WoW Forever Collector's Edition, and is it sold out?
The Gear Store product page lists the Collector's Edition at $150.00 USD (Blizzard Gear Store). On November 3 the page's buy button read Sold Out and the store's own product data marked it unavailable. Blizzard has not announced a further restock date, so we are not going to guess one.
The shipping situation, in Blizzard's words on the same page: "This is a pre-purchase product. Orders placed before September 24 are scheduled to ship October 2026; orders placed on or after September 24 are scheduled to ship February 2027." The restock article adds that "orders placed from this restock are expected to be shipped and delivered February 2027, after the November 4, 2026, launch of WoW: Forever" (Blizzard news, updated 9/24).
The Gear Store terms are strict:
- Limit one per household.
- Ships only to select locations in North and South America from the Gear Store. Blizzard points players in Australia and New Zealand to JB Hi-Fi and EB Games instead.
- All sales final: the Collector's Edition is not eligible for returns.
- Excluded from promotions and promo-code discounts.
What is inside the WoW Forever Collector's Edition?
The Collector's Edition is the Warcraft Forever Collection plus a box of physical items. Per the Gear Store listing:
Physical items
- Dwarf and Bear statue. The Gear Store listing says 7.5 inches. Blizzard's restock article says "13-inch". The two official pages disagree, so check the listing before you order.
- Zephras Isle mousepad
- Art prints
- Collectible pins
- Companion journal
- Box size roughly 18.3 x 15.2 x 17.2 inches (46.5 x 38.6 x 43.7 cm)
Digital items
- A Warcraft Forever Collection code: the Skyborne Epic Pack, Warcraft III: Reforged and the Warcraft III Reforged: Forsaken Kingdom campaign
- 30 days of Game Time
- The Skyborne race and the Zephras Isle starting experience
- Forever cosmetics: the Cerulean Prideclaw ground mount, the Shen'dorei Skyseer's Garb transmog set, a back attachment and the Shen'dorei Windwell toy
- A Veteran Adventurer's bear mount and transmog set, usable in Forever and modern WoW
- Two special tabards and four pets (Zergling, Panda, Diablo and Pachimaru)
- A Skyborne decor pack and two figurine decor items for modern WoW Housing
The listing also caps codes at one WoW: Forever beta access code and three Invite-A-Friend Launch Codes per household. The beta code no longer has a use: Blizzard closed the beta on October 23.
How do the WoW Forever editions compare?

Blizzard's shop footnote is the line that matters for the race: "Access to Skyborne Race or the Zephras Isle starting experience questline requires purchase of Skyborne Heroic Pack or higher edition." It also notes that 30 days of Game Time is added to your account at launch, and that play outside that window "requires a Subscription or additional Game Time (sold separately)".
What does each digital pack add over the one below it?
Skyborne Heroic Pack, $29.99. The Skyborne race and Zephras Isle, Early Name Reservation, the Cerulean Prideclaw ground mount (you still need to buy riding skill in game), the Shen'dorei Skyseer's Garb, the Veteran Adventurer's Rucksack, the Shen'dorei Windwell toy, Skyborne Housing decor for modern WoW and one Invite-A-Friend Launch Code. It does not include beta access, and it never did.
Skyborne Epic Pack, $59.99 (+$30). Everything in the Heroic Pack, plus 30 days of Game Time added from November 4, more Veteran Adventurer cosmetics, tabards, pets for Forever and two more Invite-A-Friend codes (three in total). It also included beta access, which is now worthless because the beta is closed.
Warcraft Forever Collection, $79.99 (+$20). Everything in the Epic Pack, plus Warcraft III: Reforged, the new Warcraft III Reforged: Forsaken Kingdom campaign and Forsaken and Human figurine decor for modern WoW Housing. Blizzard lists it as available "through January 11, 2027", so it is the only edition with a published end date.
The Housing decor needs modern WoW's Housing feature, which Blizzard says requires World of Warcraft: Midnight, sold separately. All upgrade benefits apply only to the WoW account you buy them for, so pick the right WoW1 or WoW2 license at checkout.

Which WoW Forever edition should you buy on launch day?
The beta and name reservation were the two time-limited reasons to buy early, and both are gone after today. What is left is the Skyborne, the cosmetics, 30 days of Game Time and the Warcraft III bundle. These are timesaver.gg's editorial calls:
- Subscription only: right for most players who want to play one of the 46 Classic race and class combos. The six new combos, Undead Paladin and Dwarf Shaman included, need no pack. See all of them in our classes and races table.
- Heroic Pack ($29.99): the cheapest way to play a Skyborne. Buy it only if you want that race or its Shaman/Mage options. Our Skyborne $29.99 verdict goes deeper.
- Epic Pack ($59.99): the extra $30 now buys 30 days of Game Time, cosmetics and two more friend codes. It makes sense if you were going to pay for that month of play anyway and want to bring two friends in for launch week.
- Collection ($79.99): $20 over Epic for Warcraft III: Reforged and the Forsaken Kingdom campaign, which tells the story of the first Forsaken Paladin. Worth it if you will play the campaign. Decide before January 11, 2027.
- Collector's Edition ($150): buy it for the statue and the box, not for launch. It costs $70.01 more than the Collection it contains, it is sold out on the Gear Store right now, and restock orders ship in February 2027.
Can I play on November 4 if my Collector's Edition hasn't shipped?
Yes, if you also have a subscription or Game Time, because Forever itself is included with either. What you would be missing until your box arrives is the Skyborne race and the other digital items, since those come on the code inside.
Blizzard's workaround is to buy a digital edition now. Its restock article says some digital purchases "may qualify for a Battle.net Balance credit equal to the amount paid when you later redeem your Collector's Edition code by December 31, 2027; some credits are applied automatically, while others may require help from Blizzard Customer Support. Not all products and upgrade paths qualify." Read the linked support article before you pay twice and assume a refund.
Friend codes also stack only up to a point. Blizzard's Invite-A-Friend support article lists three codes for a Gear Store Collector's Edition and six in total if you buy a digital edition and then the Collector's Edition, but none for Collector's Editions bought from local retailers in Korea, Australia and New Zealand. The codes only grant access from November 4 to November 11, and our Invite-A-Friend guide covers redeeming them.
Edition sorted, now the grind? Whichever edition you pick, every character starts at level 1 on November 4 with an empty bank.
- WoW Forever Gold: for class training and your first mount on a brand-new economy.
- WoW Forever Powerleveling: get a main or a Skyborne alt toward 60 on your schedule.
- All WoW Forever services: dungeons, raids and more on the Forever hub.
FAQ
How much is the WoW Forever Collector's Edition? $150.00 USD on the Blizzard Gear Store. It includes the $79.99 Warcraft Forever Collection as a digital code plus the physical items.
Is the WoW Forever Collector's Edition sold out? The Gear Store page showed Sold Out on November 3, 2026. Blizzard says orders placed on or after September 24 ship in February 2027 and has not announced another restock.
When does the WoW Forever Collector's Edition ship? Gear Store orders placed before September 24 were scheduled to ship in October 2026. Orders placed on or after September 24, including the restock, are scheduled to ship in February 2027, after launch.
Does the Collector's Edition include the Skyborne race? Yes. Its Warcraft Forever Collection code contains the Skyborne Epic Pack, which includes the Skyborne race and the Zephras Isle starting experience, plus 30 days of Game Time.
Does the $29.99 Skyborne Heroic Pack include beta access? No. Only the Epic Pack, the Warcraft Forever Collection and the Collector's Edition included beta access, and the beta closed on October 23, 2026, so no edition gets you into it now.
Do I need any edition to play WoW Forever? No. Forever is included with an active World of Warcraft subscription or Game Time from November 4. The editions add the Skyborne race, cosmetics, Game Time and, for the Collection, Warcraft III.
Can I return the WoW Forever Collector's Edition? Not from the Gear Store. The listing says all sales are final and the Collector's Edition is not eligible for returns.
