The UK moved to GMT on 25 October, so 6 PM UK is now 18:00 UTC. fut.gg's database timestamps match: TOTW 6 items were created at 17:00 UTC on 21 October (still British Summer Time), and TOTW 7 items at 18:00 UTC on 28 October (fut.gg TOTW 7).

Base ratings come from fut.gg's FC 27 database on 4 November. Leaks like this are often right, but they aren't guaranteed and a rating can be off by a point, so check after the reveal before you buy.

The pattern matters for your coins. The top five cards get only +1 over their base items. The big jumps, like Abada +10, Altunkulak +7 and Pelova +6, all land on cards that finish at 80 to 82. TOTW 8 is a fodder week with one standout winger, not a meta week.

Three numbers to remember:
- 88 is a new low. Every earlier squad had at least one 89. TOTW 7 had Kylian Mbappé at 92, Gabriel at 90 and Klara Bühl at 89.
- Only one card is 87 or higher. TOTW 7 had four: Mbappé 92, Gabriel 90, Bühl 89 and Georgia Stanway 87, with Victor Osimhen 86 just below.
- 11 of 23 cards are 80s, which is normal. TOTW 8 isn't padded with more filler than usual. It just has a weaker top end.
So the ceiling on a TOTW 8 walkout is lower than it was for TOTW 7. We can't put a number on pack value because EA publishes no TOTW pack odds, but if you only want one or two of these cards, buying them directly removes the luck from it.
Which FC 27 TOTW 8 cards are worth buying with coins?
These stats are read off the leaked cards, so check them in game after release. We're not quoting live prices, which change hour to hour. Look up the current figure on the Transfer Market before you bid.
1. Trinity Rodman — 88 LM. 92 pace, 85 dribbling, 84 shooting and 84 physical, with no weak outfield stat except defending at 57. This is the only card in the squad worth building around. She's also a +1 over a base card that was already 87, so you're paying for one rating point plus the in-form tag. Buy her only if you don't already have a comparable 87 wide player.
2. Fermín — 86 CAM. 85 shooting, 83 passing, 86 dribbling and 75 physical, with 65 defending, which is high for a CAM. The best central attacking option in the squad if you run LALIGA or Barcelona links.
3. Jan Paul van Hecke — 83 CB. 84 defending, 83 physical and 76 pace. A budget Premier League centre back is the most useful thing in this squad for players still trying to stop the 4-3-1-2 narrow meta, which r/EASportsFC was still asking about on 4 November (r/EASportsFC thread).
4. Kerolin — 86 RM. 86 pace, 86 dribbling and 83 passing. A strong Liga F winger who links with Barcelona's women's squad. Worth it only if you already run that core.
5. Unai Simón — 86 GK. 86 diving and 86 reflexes. Only a +1 on his 85 base, so if you already have the base Simón, the upgrade isn't worth the coins.
Skip: Morgan Rogers 85 and Antonio Nusa 80, if you own their Destined for Glory versions. fut.gg lists DfG Rogers at 87 and DfG Nusa at 85, both higher than their TOTW 8 in-forms. TOTW selection doesn't trigger a DfG upgrade either. EA says DfG items "can earn upgrades throughout the entire football season ... based on real-world performances in their domestic league, with milestones determined by the player's position" (EA SPORTS FC 27 Launch Update). For the DfG versions, league milestones are what matter, not a TOTW spot.
Should you sell or keep TOTW 8 cards for SBCs?
Most of TOTW 8 is 80 to 82, and that is where the in-form tag earns you more than the card is worth to play with. FC 27 SBCs grade submissions by Item Score, and community trackers record a higher score for TOTW items than for base golds of the same rating. fifauteam's tracked values (fifauteam FC 27 SBC score table): base 82 = 340 vs TOTW 82 = 425, base 84 = 830 vs TOTW 84 = 1,038, and base 85 = 2,100 vs TOTW 85 = 2,625. EA publishes no Item Score numbers, and the TOTW column is inconsistent across ratings, so check the value shown on your own card before you submit.
What that means for TOTW 8:

What should you do with your coins before 18:00 UTC?
Until EA's reveal at the expected 18:00 UTC time, here's how to use your coins:
- Don't pre-buy base cards of the leaked players expecting them to upgrade. Base Rare items never change when a TOTW drops. Live upgrades belong to specific promo items, such as Ones to Watch and Destined for Glory, and each promo has its own rules. EA's OTW FAQ says OTW items "will only be upgraded based on performance in the 2026/27 domestic season" (EA SPORTS FC 27 Season 1). fut.gg lists no OTW item for any of the leaked players we could match.
- Consider waiting rather than buying an in-form in its first hour. More copies reach the market as packs are opened through the week, so early buyers face the least supply. That's a risk to weigh, not a guaranteed price drop. Rodman is the exception if you need her for Champions this weekend.
- Spend Champions Tokens on the TOTW 7 picks before they expire. fut.gg lists the TOTW 7 Champions picks (50 and 100 Tokens) as ending 6 November at 18:59 UTC. TOTW 8 Champions picks with the Red item design should appear after that if EA follows the same weekly pattern. EA's Launch Update confirms the Champions Token Store carries "Team of the Week Players with the exclusive Red Item design", but not the exact timing. EA's own economy data backs the market-first approach. In its first FC 27 FUT Developer Update, EA wrote: "Coin balances are more than 50% higher than at the same point last year and we're seeing plenty of Transfer Market activity. We're also seeing a higher share of Starting XI players being acquired directly through the Transfer Market." (EA SPORTS FC 27 FUT Developer Launch Update). That describes balances across the whole player base, not your reward income. It does show that buying on the market is a normal way to build a squad in FC 27.

Is there a TOTW 8 Community Player?
No. The community vote only ran for the first six squads. EA's Launch Update Pitch Notes say: "During Season 1, the FC community will help to shape the selection of one player item in each of the first six Team of the Week squads." (EA SPORTS FC 27 Launch Update). TOTW 7 and TOTW 8 were chosen by EA alone. EA hasn't announced whether voting returns in a later season. If it does, we'll cover it here.
Why are TOTW cards so hard to pack in FC 27?
This was the most common complaint in this week's TOTW 8 thread on r/fut. One player said it was a letdown that even TOTW items barely show up in packs. In the same week, an r/EASportsFC thread from a player who still hadn't packed a single promo player five weeks in drew around 30 upvotes. EA hasn't published any TOTW pack weight for FC 27, so we can't put a number on it. EA has said a higher share of Starting XI players is being bought on the Transfer Market, but it hasn't linked that to pack rates.
The practical takeaway: if there's one TOTW 8 card you want, buying it is the only guaranteed way to get it. With 23 cards and only one at 87 or above, few of the possible walkouts are top-end cards.
