The Platinum in The Blood of Dawnwalker is easier than its rarity numbers suggest, as long as you make two decisions before you leave the prologue: which difficulty you're on and how you'll use your save slots. Only 3.3% of Steam players have Uphill Battle, the Duelist trophy that is the Platinum's biggest wall. Two of the next four rarest are quick unlocks that are easy to walk past.
Quick answer (as of October 31, 2026, Update 1.1): There are 47 trophies on PS5 (1 Platinum, 3 Gold, 5 Silver, 38 Bronze) and 46 achievements on Steam and Xbox. The Platinum, Every Last Drop, takes about 40–60 hours on one campaign and PowerPyx rates it 5/10. Start on Duelist and never change a modifier, take The Turncoat ending first, then reload your pre-finale save for everything else. Sell a fish to the Svartrau fishmonger before Infamy 9. Update 1.1 changed no trophy conditions in its notes.
Updated October 31, 2026: corrected the cleanup route, added the third Ultimate trophy and the Smuggler window, and added live Steam rarity for every achievement.
How many trophies does The Blood of Dawnwalker have?
The game has 47 trophies on PlayStation 5: 1 Platinum, 3 Gold, 5 Silver and 38 Bronze (Fextralife's tier list). Xbox and Steam list 46 achievements, the same set without the PS5 Platinum. None of them need online play, and the Platinum, Every Last Drop, needs no DLC.
Steam's own achievement list currently flags 23 of the 46 as hidden, mostly ending and companion beats. Older guides print 17 or 21, so don't panic if your count differs.
What are the rarest trophies?
Live numbers from Steam's public achievement page, one snapshot taken October 31, 2026. These are Steam only, so PlayStation rarity will differ, but the pattern is the useful part.
| Rank | Trophy | Steam players | Why it's rare |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Uphill Battle | 3.3% | Full Duelist run from the start |
| 2 | Together Forever | 4.1% | Secret dream-loop ending in a side activity |
| 3 | Selfish | 4.1% | One vendor, and she can vanish |
| 4 | Arch Warlock | 6.0% | Needs 35 points in Witchcraft perks |
| 5 | Glass Ceiling | 7.1% | Level 50 takes a near-full clear |
| 6 | The Turncoat | 9.5% | Betrayal ending |
| 7 | The Knyazmaker | 9.9% | Needs Crake's quest chain |
Only 40.3% of Steam players have finished the story at all, so Uphill Battle works out to roughly 1 in 12 finishers. Selfish is the odd one out: it's a single sale once you're standing in front of the right vendor.
How hard is the Platinum and how long does it take?
PowerPyx rates it 5/10 at 40–60 hours, and one campaign is enough if you keep manual saves. Insider Gaming's writer finished in under 30 hours with heavy reloading, which is the outlier, not the plan. For context, HowLongToBeat's completionist estimate sits around 51 hours.
The save system is what makes this work. You get 54 manual slots, 5 quicksaves and 6 autosaves (GUSLOK), and there's no mission select, so your saves are your chapter select. Finishing an ending sends you back to the main menu. New Game Plus is confirmed as planned but hasn't shipped as of October 31, 2026, and no trophy needs it.
What is the fastest Platinum roadmap?
Do the Duelist trophy first, because it's the only one tied to difficulty, then drop the preset for cleanup. Ending and companion spoilers from here on.
Step 1: Start on Duelist and finish the prologue
Pick Duelist on a new save and leave every modifier alone. During Withering Away, brew Esme's medicine correctly (hot water, three spoonfuls of herbs) before the quest timer ends. Make a manual save as soon as the open world unlocks.
Step 2: Climb the 11 towers and reach level 20
Buy Shapeshift and Mercurial Fervor first for movement, then climb all 11 towers at night. Clear Monster Lairs, camps and other points of interest in the north before pushing south. PowerPyx's target is level 20+ and under day 15.
Step 3: Do Selfish and Smuggler, then resolve the three boyars
Work through Court Activities until each boyar's fight unlocks, which takes roughly 75% of their activities. Make a dedicated save before you start Xanthe's Home Sweet Home, because Together Forever needs it later. Before your Infamy reaches 9, do two things in Svartrau:
- Selfish: the only fishmonger is labelled Food Vendor, in the market in the northwest of the city during the day. Buy a Dried Fish and sell it straight back. She's gone at Infamy 9.
- Smuggler: sell 1,000 denarii of silver at the Silver Trader. GUSLOK's window is Infamy 4 to 8, because the gates close and guards turn hostile at 9.
Dealing with Ambrus, Bakir and Xanthe should finish Throne of Thorns. See our all bosses guide for each fight.
Step 4: Master save, then The Turncoat on Duelist
Skip to the next day to trigger the Infamy Edicts and Brencis's parley. This starts A Deal with the Devil. Make a manual save in a fresh slot and never overwrite it. Then accept the deal. The Turncoat skips the final Brencis fight, and finishing it inside 30 days pops Uphill Battle, In the Nick of Time, The Blood of Dawnwalker and The Turncoat in one go.
Step 5: Reload and clear the other endings
Reload the master save and drop the difficulty. You'll need Lacra's chain for The Patricide and Crake's chain for The Knyazmaker, while The Folk Hero is Brencis solo. Finish The Night of Horrors before starting Midnight Reckoning, or Misery Loves Company is gone from that save. Our all endings guide has the branch details.
The two early endings need earlier saves, not the master save. A Hero They Deserve means leaving through the exit at the southeastern edge of the map, and Together Forever uses the save you made before Home Sweet Home in Step 3.
Step 6: Cleanup to level 50
You can't keep playing after credits, so this happens on your reload. As PowerPyx puts it: "You can keep playing past the 30 day limit, the side content will remain available." In the Nick of Time is already banked, so the calendar stops mattering. Finish every questline, then the sword, armor, flags, villages and transports.
Which trophies are missable?
GUSLOK's roadmap marks 19 trophies as missable, and it says frequent manual saves recover virtually all of them. These are the ones that actually catch people:
- Uphill Battle: the whole run has to stay on Duelist, and it must end in one of the four full endings. Enabling Auto-Block or the Direction Indicator turns the preset to Custom and voids it. One PC player reported it didn't pop after switching to Duelist just after the prologue, so start there.
- Selfish and Smuggler: both lock at Infamy 9, as above.
- Together Forever: repeat the dream loop four times in Home Sweet Home (IGN). It's an early ending, so do it on an easier preset from a dedicated save once Uphill Battle is done.
- The Manumit: the last quest is A Closer Look. Choosing "I'll leave him be" after Distant Shadows locks it, and our romance guide lists Crake's other lockouts.
- Companion deaths: don't kill quest givers. Feral Hunger needs Coen to drain someone in conversation at low vampiric health, so trigger it on a disposable NPC after a save, not on Anca or Crake.
How do the three Ultimate trophies work?
There are three, one per tree, and you can have an Ultimate in each tree on one save.
| Trophy | Tree | Steam players | Requirement |
|---|---|---|---|
| Master of Arms | Swordmastery | 25.8% | 35 points on perks + 4 for the Ultimate |
| Arch Warlock | Witchcraft | 6.0% | 35 points on perks + 4 for the Ultimate |
| Creature of the Night | Vampirism | 23.7% | Corruption 15 + 4 for the Ultimate |
Ability points don't count toward the 35, per PowerPyx, which likely explains Arch Warlock's 6.0%: hexes reward ability points, not perks. All three cost 82 Skill Points out of the 160–170 PowerPyx says a full clear gives you, so one save can cover them if you budget for it. The safer route is PowerPyx's: save, buy one Ultimate, reload, spend the same points in the other tree. Our Ultimate perks guide ranks all nine.
Don't rely on the respec potion here. The Draught of Mind Rebirth forces you to spend every returned time segment, and player reports conflict: one says a skill-tree achievement didn't unlock after respeccing, another says they respecced at level 50 for it. Neither is verified. Save and reload costs nothing and has no such risk.
What did Update 1.1 change for trophy hunters?
The official 1.1 notes (October 22, 2026) contain no line about trophies or achievements, so no conditions changed on paper. Several fixes still matter:
- Story is now the lowest preset. The old Story was renamed Forgiving, and the new mode adds combat assist. Uphill Battle is the only difficulty trophy, and the notes mention no trophy limits on either mode. Roadmaps written before 1.1 meant the mode now called Forgiving, so pick that if you want the tested route.
- Home Sweet Home is easier to survive. The notes say Rebel Wolves "Fixed issues that caused significant difficulty spikes during the "Home Sweet Home" quest."
- The finale is safer. 1.1 "Added a missing autosave during the "A Deal with the Devil" quest" and fixed progress blockers in Midnight Reckoning and Rise at Dawn.
- Miser is slower for exploiters. "Beehive can no longer provide infinite money," so the 5,000 denarii now comes from real play. That's rarely a problem, with 55.7% of Steam players holding it.
- Xanthe's Burning Blood damage during invincibility is gone, so older cheese tips won't work.
That's what's documented, not tested behavior. The notes have no Duelist line, so if you're continuing an older save, check that your preset still reads Duelist.

Our guides to the Sword of St. Mihai and best armor cover the two Arbiter trophies.
FAQ
How many trophies does The Blood of Dawnwalker have? There are 47 on PS5: 1 Platinum, 3 Gold, 5 Silver and 38 Bronze. Steam and Xbox have 46 achievements, the same list without the Platinum.
What is the rarest achievement in The Blood of Dawnwalker? Uphill Battle, held by 3.3% of Steam players as of October 31, 2026. Together Forever and Selfish are next, tied at 4.1%.
Can you get the Platinum in one playthrough? Yes. One campaign is enough if you keep a master save before A Deal with the Devil, plus earlier saves for the two early endings. You'll reload several times, but you won't replay the game.
Can you keep playing after the ending? No. An ending returns you to the main menu, so cleanup happens by reloading a save from before the ending. On that save you can run past day 30 and side content stays available.
Do I have to beat Brencis on Duelist? No. The Turncoat skips the final fight and still counts as a full ending for Uphill Battle.
Does Story difficulty lock any trophies? Not according to the Update 1.1 notes, which mention no trophy limits. Uphill Battle is the only trophy tied to a difficulty, so once it's earned you can lower the preset. Forgiving is the mode pre-1.1 roadmaps tested.
Is New Game Plus needed for the Platinum? No. Rebel Wolves has said it intends to add NG+, with no date as of October 31, 2026, and nothing in the trophy list depends on it.
