Last checked: November 5, 2026, the day Season 56 started. Primary source: Supercell's official Release Notes November 2026, published November 3. Season timing comes from the Brawl Stars Wiki Brawl Pass page and Supercell Support's rule that seasons start on the first Thursday of the month.
Supercell calls the Ranked part of this update its "biggest rework yet". The notes were published on November 3, the day of the update's maintenance break, and the new season, Brawl Vice, replaced Brawl-O-Ween on November 5 at 08:00 UTC. Ranked was rebuilt from the entry requirement up, three Brawlers were added to the files, six more Brawlers got Buffies, and 27 Brawlers were rebalanced. Here is every change that matters, sorted by what you should do about it.
Quick answer (TLDR): The Brawl Stars November 2026 update (Season 56, Brawl Vice) went live after maintenance on November 3, 2026, and the season started November 5 at 08:00 UTC. Ranked now unlocks at 5,000 Trophies (was 1,000) and needs Power 11 Brawlers at every rank, with 6 free maxed Brawlers per season (was 3). New Brawlers: Thunder Frogs (Legendary Artillery) and Rey and Ruby (Mythic); the Brawl Talk dated them to November and December. 6 new Buffies (Mr. P, Lou, Gale, Mandy, Chester, Berry), Hypercharges for Cosmo and Vince, 10 buffs, 12 nerfs and 5 other changes, plus Mega Showdown (20 players) and Counterlight. The Brawl Pass skins are Brawl Vice Bull and Crime Pays Poco.

When did the Brawl Stars Season 56 update come out?
The patch notes went up on November 3, 2026, the same day as the maintenance break, and players were on the new version that day (APKPure listed build 70.648 on Google Play on November 3). The new season is a separate timer: Season 55 Brawl-O-Ween ended and Season 56 Brawl Vice started on November 5 at 08:00 UTC (11:00 Moscow, 03:00 New York). Supercell Support says seasons start on the first Thursday of each month, so Brawl Vice should run until Thursday, December 3, when the Brawlidays season takes over. Supercell hasn't printed that end date yet, so treat it as the expected date.
Not everything in the notes is in the game on day one. The notes give no release dates, but the October 31 Brawl Talk put Thunder Frogs in November and Rey and Ruby in December, and Supercell says Team Chat improvements "will roll out shortly after update day". Club Chat comes "at the latest, next update".
What changed in Ranked?
Ranked is the headline. Supercell calls it "the biggest rework yet" and says it wants Ranked to be "the most competitive place in Brawl Stars". The entry rules are much stricter:
- Ranked unlocks at 5,000 Trophies, up from 1,000. If you had already unlocked it, you keep access and get a Chaos Drop at the 5,000 node instead.
- Power 11 is required at every rank. Bronze through Diamond used to accept Power 9.
- Diamond needs 12 Brawlers, the same as Mythic (was 9).
- Free maxed Brawlers go from 3 to 6 each season to soften that.
- The season reset drops you 2 ranks, down from 6. Seasons stay monthly.
- No Ranked teams at Masters I and above. Premade teams stop at Masters.
The climb itself changed too. Best-of-three games now pay out by rounds: an Epic Win (2-0) gives extra Elo and a Close Match (1-2) loss costs less. Early and middle ranks give more Elo, so more players should reach Pro.
The Pick and Ban screen was rebuilt. In Supercell's words: "We heard it loud and clear that the Pick & Ban screen needed an overhaul now that we're past 100 Brawlers!" You get a bigger grid that shows Gadgets and Star Powers, filters, class sorting by default, ban suggestions, early pick-order swaps and quick chat. Supercell also says it looked at adding more bans and decided against it "for now", because the frustration behind that request "we should solve through balance changes".
One esports change matters if you were grinding for it: reaching Pro no longer qualifies you for BSC 2027. The route in is now the Championship Challenge into the Challengers Program. Our Brawl Stars Ranked guide covers ranks, rewards and how to spend the six free maxed Brawlers.
Who are the new Brawlers in Season 56?
Three Brawlers are in the notes, which takes the roster from 108 to 111 once all of them ship.
Thunder Frogs (Legendary, Artillery). Zap, Zee and Volt were "gifted a magical hat by Ziggy", and the three count as one Brawler. Their attack, Triangle Trick, throws frogs that form an electric triangle, and the sides hit harder than the center. The Super, Frogzilla!, merges them into one big frog that jumps three times. The kit at base values:
| Ability | Name | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Gadget 1 | Double Jumpers | Launch two frogs at once, needs full ammo |
| Gadget 2 | Soothing Shock | Next triangle heals allies inside for 2,000 |
| Star Power 1 | Leech Landing | Super jumps heal for 50% of damage dealt |
| Star Power 2 | Swamp Stomps | Triangle edges slow by 15% for 2 seconds |
| Hypercharge | Triple the Tricks | Super-jump triangle deals 1,050 inside, 1,500 on edges |
Supercell hasn't announced the unlock date. The last three New Brawler Events opened 7 days into their season, which would point to around November 12. That's our estimate, not an official date. Full numbers are in our Thunder Frogs guide.
Rey (Mythic, Marksman) and Ruby (Mythic, Damage Dealer) are the King and Queen of Toyland and are due in December, per the Brawl Talk. They share a Synergy Trait called Power Couple: Rey's attack heals Ruby for 800, Ruby's heals Rey for 400, and each moves 10% faster toward the other. Rey's attacks mark enemies and hit harder as the mark fills, and his Super fires at each visible enemy in range. Ruby throws a Club and a Diamond in a figure-eight, and her Super creates a 4-second area that grounds enemies inside it, with shots dealing 15% max-health damage. The Brawl Talk said you can pick one of them for free during Brawlidays. Our Brawl Talk recap has everything shown on stream.
Which Brawlers got Buffies and Hypercharges?
Six Brawlers got Buffies, in two themed sets: Snowtel (Mr. P, Lou, Gale) and Candy Stand (Mandy, Chester, Berry), matching the two new Claw Machines. Several of them also had Gadgets or Star Powers reworked, so check your loadout before you play.
| Brawler | Biggest change in the notes |
|---|---|
| Mr. P | Service Bell buffs a Porter by 114 damage and 740 health; Buffied, both get a 1,070 shield |
| Lou | Ice Block reworked into 2s of invulnerability; Cold Snap now adds 25% damage to any stunned enemy |
| Gale | North Wind Wall reworked to redirect enemy projectiles |
| Mandy | Old In My Sights moved into her base kit; both Gadgets now aimable and use ammo |
| Chester | Always sees his next Super; Sneak Peek replaced by Jester's Privilege |
| Berry | Healthy Additives replaced by Secret Formula, a growing ice cream puddle |
Two new Hypercharges also landed. Cosmo's Cosmic Capture makes the hyper projectile home in and root for 2 seconds. Vince's Bug Swarm keeps his Super at max power and drops Hypercharged caterpillars around him. Cosmo also gets a health buff and a Telescope Trap nerf in the same update, covered below. Players can now get a Buffie from drops or the Shop even if they don't own the Brawler. See where each one lands in our Buffies tier list.
What are the Season 56 balance changes?
Supercell lists 10 buffs, 12 nerfs and 5 changes. The numbers in the notes match base-level stats, so in-game cards at Power 11 show bigger values. The ones most likely to move the meta:
- Buffs: Hank health 5,500 to 6,000. Draco Super 1,120 to 1,620 with 25% damage reduction (was 20%). Chuck, Darryl and Melodie keep unused Super charges on defeat. Ziggy's attack rises from 950 to 1,050, but The Great Ziggini drops from 18% to 7%. Shelly, Buster, Angelo and R-T got smaller boosts.
- Nerfs: Shade health 3,700 to 3,400, Super 6s to 4s, Jump Scare shield 1,000 to 400. Gus can only have 3 spirits on the map (was 10). Amber's Dancing Flames cooldown 14s to 20s. Wendy's attack projectile is 20% smaller. Max, Ash, Colette, Pierce, Maisie, Nori, Brock and Rico were also hit.
- Changes: Cosmo health 3,400 to 3,600 but a weaker Telescope Trap. Surge, Damian, Squeak and Kit were adjusted.
Brawl Arena got its own pass: Ollie, Janet, Grey, Gigi, Stu, Starr Nova, 8-Bit, Mandy and Piper scale down, while Nori, Fang, Najia, Doug and Chuck scale up. Our balance changes breakdown goes Brawler by Brawler, and the Brawl Stars tier list is where to check the new picks.

What's in the Brawl Vice season and Brawl Pass?
Brawl Vice is a crime-city theme. The Brawl Pass skins are Brawl Vice Bull and Crime Pays Poco (both Epic), each with two chromas: Brawl Vibes Bull and City Streets Bull, Player Hating Poco and Game Hating Poco. The rest of the season line is Undercover Buzz (Mythic), Undercover Pierce (Legendary), Black Market Barley (Mythic) and City Days Emz (Mythic, with the City Nights chroma), plus the title "Undercover".
The pass itself didn't change in this update. It's $8.99, or $12.99 for Plus, with 60 tiers, as covered in our Brawl Pass guide. The notes also list the Brawlidays skins for December (Santa Squeak and Nutcracker Draco on the pass, Gingerbread Starr Nova as the Legendary), Toon Mortis, Steamboat Penny, World Finals Clancy, a Starr Patrol Bibi Pro Pass track, and True Silver and True Gold skins for Cosmo and Vince.
What new modes and maps were added?
- Mega Showdown: 20 players on a bigger map with distinct areas, a mini-map, and bosses and robots that drop Power Cubes.
- Counterlight: two rounds. One team captures 1 of 2 sites (3 capture points each) as fast as possible, then the other team tries to beat that time.
- Super Hockey: Brawl Hockey with a chargeable puck and a goalkeeper in each net.
- Loaded Showdown: returns with new power-ups and themed item sets, including a UFO you can fly over walls.
- Jingle Brawls: the holiday version of Topple the Tower. Drumroll and Present Plunder are back too.
Eighteen community-designed maps joined the rotation, three each for Hot Zone, Brawl Ball, Heist, Gem Grab, Knockout and Bounty. Environments rotated: Duolingo, Poco's Bandstand, Ghost Metro, Gift Shop and Windstock are out, and Snowtel, Candy Stand, Retropolis and four more are in.
What else changed for free-to-play players?
Two economy notes are easy to miss. Brawler Blast now always offers a choice of Brawler. Supercell writes: "we're also increasing the Brawler Blast choice odds from 50% to 100%." The trade-off is that the high Gem-fragment draws come up less often. The maximum didn't change.
The 15-Gem Mega Quest is gone from November onwards. Supercell says those Gems move "to other sources like community events, gachas, and freebies", which makes the free QR drops on our Brawl Stars codes page more important.
Smaller changes: Pins and Sprays got presets and auto-fire slots, Sprays are unlocked by default, new Brawlers come with their own Brawler Quests (up to 6 active), chat keeps history, and post-match stats now show damage, healing and takedowns. Release events now refresh tickets at 8:00 UTC for everyone. Supercell also says it suspended 53,000+ accounts for 31 days for third-party software or idle farming and banned 4,000+ for win-trading.
What should you do first this season?
- Check your Ranked access. Under 5,000 Trophies and never unlocked it? You can't play Ranked until you get there. Brawl Arena still opens at 1,000.
- Claim your six free maxed Brawlers before your first Ranked game, and pick for Diamond's 12-Brawler draft.
- Re-check your loadouts for Lou, Gale, Mandy, Chester and Berry. Old Gadgets and Star Powers were reworked or renamed.
- Save Credits and Gems for the Thunder Frogs event in November and the free Rey or Ruby pick in December.
- Keep an eye on free drops. With the 15-Gem quest removed, event and QR rewards are where free Gems come from now.
