Search "Call of Duty redeem codes" and you'll find pages advertising 20+ active codes. Almost every one of them is fabricated. Call of Duty has never worked like Genshin or Roblox — Activision does not run a public code tap. Codes exist, but they come almost entirely from partner promotions, retail receipts and beta registrations, not from a list you can paste for free loot. This page lists the only two codes with a genuine, traceable origin — and is honest that both are leftovers from 2025 promotions that nobody has confirmed redeeming this year. It dates the promotions that have closed, explains the three different kinds of CoD code, and gives you the format test that exposes a fake in five seconds.

- Real CoD codes are 10 or 13 characters — Activision says so itself. Anything shaped XXXX-XXXXX-XXXX on a "codes" listicle is not a Call of Duty code.
- Zero codes are confirmed live this month. Only 2 have a traceable origin at all — KYHPCVYSNP6HY (Verdansk is Back calling card + 30 min double weapon XP) and KZE3K7ENKV6RW (KB High Road calling card) — and both are 2025 leftovers with no 2026 confirmation. Free to try, don't expect them to land.
- The big partner promos are over. Monster Energy closed March 31, 2026; Little Caesars codes had to be entered by January 31, 2026.
- No code has ever granted free COD Points. Every "free CP generator" is a phishing site — one active campaign harvests logins and your 2FA code.
- The live opportunity is Modern Warfare 4. Early Access Beta runs August 21–25, Open Beta August 28–September 1, with codes from pre-orders and Discord Nitro.

Are there any working Call of Duty codes in August 2026?
None that we can confirm. Two codes have a real, documented origin and are worth the ten seconds it costs to try them — but neither has a single verified 2026 redemption behind it, and we're not going to call them "active" just to have something in the table.

Both trace back to documented promotions rather than a listicle. The Verdansk code was published alongside the map's Season 3 return and picked up by CharlieIntel, Insider Gaming and Destructoid. The KB High Road card came from a charity event: the Call of Duty Endowment asked players to collectively win 15 million matches across Multiplayer, Warzone and Zombies extractions between May 9 and May 14, and the community hit it.

Now the caveats we won't hide, because they're the reason we call both codes unverified rather than active:
- Activision never published either expiry, and neither code sits on a first-party page you can check today.
- Both promotions distributed a QR code, not a text string. The C.O.D.E. announcement says "scan the QR code above to claim your Calling Card"; the Verdansk promo did the same. KZE3K7ENKV6RW almost certainly comes from somebody decoding that QR — which makes it authentic in origin, but means no official channel has ever confirmed the literal characters.
- Dexerto's code wiki still lists both as active, but its own note reads "Updated May 2, 2026, to confirm active codes. No new codes released, and none expired!" — a copy-forward, not a fresh test.
- Nobody is talking about them. A genuinely live free-cosmetic code generates Reddit threads. Searches across r/CODWarzone, r/blackops7 and r/CallOfDuty turn up nobody reporting either code working or failing in 2026. For a 15-month-old promo card, that silence points one direction.
Redemption is free and takes ten seconds, so there's no cost to trying. Just don't build your day around it — and if you see a page calling these "working August 2026 codes" with no caveat, you now know it never tested them either.
How do you redeem a Call of Duty code?
Activision runs one redemption page for in-game content and a separate one for betas. Getting this wrong is the single most common "my code doesn't work" cause.
- Go to callofduty.com/redeem and sign in to your Call of Duty account.
- Make sure at least one Gaming Network account is linked — Battle.net, Steam, PlayStation Network or Xbox. Activision requires this before a code will apply.
- Paste the code and select Redeem Code.
- If asked to pick a platform, "be sure to select a platform that you have linked to your Call of Duty account in order to access the content," per Activision. Some rewards only land on one platform.
- Launch the game and check your calling cards, blueprints or 2XP tokens.
Activision's guidance on that last step explains most of the "I redeemed it and got nothing" posts:

Content can take up to 24 hours to appear, so don't panic-redeem the same code five times. Two other limits matter: some promotions cap you at one code redemption per person per day, and 2XP tokens are hard-capped at 40 hours of each token type per account across all promotions, with a maximum of one hour of each token used in-game per day. Finally, if a promotion gives you a branded URL — Activision cites callofduty.com/brand as the pattern — use that link, or the code will bounce.
What's the difference between a public code, a partner code and a Twitch Drop?
This is the distinction every fake code list skips, and it's why CoD looks "code-poor" next to other live-service games.
Public codes are single strings anyone can redeem, published openly by Activision or CoD social channels. These are rare — the Verdansk code is the textbook example, released around a marquee moment maybe once or twice a year.
Partner codes are one-time and unique to you. Monster Energy printed a different code under every qualifying can's pull-tab; Little Caesars issued one per qualifying receipt; retail pre-orders print one on the receipt. A partner code that someone posts online has already been used — that's the entire mechanic, and it's why "Monster Energy code list" pages are fiction. There is no shared code to list.
Twitch Drops are not codes at all. You link Twitch to your Call of Duty account under Social Networks on callofduty.com, watch a Drops-Enabled stream, and the reward is pushed to your account automatically. Black Ops 7 drops have historically required around four hours of Drops-Enabled viewing to clear the full reward set.
Which Call of Duty codes have expired?
These were real. They are also definitively closed, with dates — which is more than most lists will tell you.

Monster is the one people still chase hardest, so to be blunt: the tab codes are dead. Regional campaigns closed on staggered dates through the winter and the final Activision-side window shut in spring 2026. Buying a "Monster code" from a reseller now buys you nothing.

How do you get a Modern Warfare 4 beta code right now?
This is the only CoD code worth actively pursuing this month. Modern Warfare 4 launches October 23, 2026, and its beta is the live event:

Two traps — pick the region that matches the region on the platform account you'll actually play on, and note the token "can only be redeemed on the platform you selected when you redeemed your Early Access code." Can you get free COD Points from a redeem code?
No. COD Points are purchase-only and have never been distributed through callofduty.com/redeem. Promo codes deliver cosmetics, blueprints, calling cards and 2XP tokens — that's the whole list.
This matters because the CP scam ecosystem is large and active. In July 2026, security researchers documented a live phishing campaign impersonating an official Call of Duty page and offering 10,800 free points. It asked for your email and password — not a redemption code — forwarded those credentials to Activision's real login, triggering a genuine two-factor prompt, then served a second page to harvest the 2FA code before it expired.
Read that mechanic again: a fake CP site can defeat 2FA if you type the code into it. So the rule has to be structural, not instinctive — Activision will never ask for your password on a redemption page. The real flow signs you in first, then shows a code field. Any site promising CP, Battle Pass tiers or unlocked camos for a code is a scam or a stolen-account operation, and if you've entered credentials on one, change your Activision password and re-enroll 2FA now.

Why do other code lists have 20+ codes?
Because unverified codes cost nothing to publish and rank well. Here's the five-second test.
Check the format. Activision states its codes are 10 or 13 characters, alphanumeric, no hyphens — like KYHPCVYSNP6HY (13). Yet the most-copied "Warzone codes" lists are stuffed with entries shaped XBLX3-HN7X7-7NAH7, X5VC-M8QW3-4170 and GZ28-T7TY5-L618. That hyphenated pattern isn't the callofduty.com/redeem scheme at all. Even the pages publishing them file them as "expired" — padding a table so it looks longer than the two codes that are actually defensible.
Check whether the promo was ever public. If the reward came from a can, a receipt, a pre-order or a Nitro subscription, the code was unique to one person and cannot be on a list.
Check the source chain. If a code appears only on sites that plainly copy each other, and never on a CoD channel, CharlieIntel, Dexerto or an Activision support page, treat it as invented.
Season 5 arrived on July 23, 2026 and shipped no public redeem code. That's normal, and any page claiming otherwise is guessing.

Where do I redeem a Call of Duty code? At callofduty.com/redeem, signed in with at least one platform account linked. Beta codes are different — they go to callofduty.com/betaredeem. If a promotion gave you a branded link, use that instead; Activision warns branded promotions must be redeemed through their own URL.
Why does my Call of Duty code say invalid? Usually one of four things: it was a one-time partner code someone already redeemed, you're on the wrong redemption page, you selected a platform you haven't linked, or the promotion closed. How do I get Black Ops 7 Twitch Drops? Drops aren't codes. Sign in at callofduty.com, open Social Networks in your account settings, link Twitch, then watch a stream carrying the Drops-Enabled tag. Rewards apply automatically — you never type anything. Watch on the same Twitch account you linked.
Can I redeem the same code twice or share it? No on both counts. Every code is single-use per account, and partner codes are single-use full stop. Some promotions limit you to one redemption per person per day, and 2XP tokens cap at 40 hours per account with only one hour usable in-game per day.
