Last Wish is the oldest raid still standing in Destiny 2 — and in 2026 it's one of the most worthwhile. Every raid exotic is now infinitely farmable, which means the six-player Dreaming City raid is once again the single best place to chase One Thousand Voices, still one of the hardest-hitting exotic fusion rifles in the game. This guide covers every encounter, the full loot table, the Wall of Wishes shortcuts, and the fastest way to farm One Thousand Voices as of the Moments of Triumph 2026 event.

Quick Answer: Last Wish in 60 Seconds
- What it is: A 6-player raid in the Dreaming City (Forsaken Pack), with five encounters: Kalli, Shuro Chi, Morgeth, The Vault, and Riven of a Thousand Voices, followed by the Queenswalk.
- The prize: One Thousand Voices, an exotic fusion rifle that only drops from the final chest after the Queenswalk. It's now fully farmable — no more one-and-done lockout.
- Fastest farm: Use Wish 7 ("To Help a Friend in Need") at the Wall of Wishes to teleport straight to Riven, cheese the kill, run the heart, open the chest. Repeat.
- Extra chances: Wish 1 grants an Ethereal Key — one per character per week (up to 3 per account) — which opens a bonus end chest for another roll at One Thousand Voices.
- Stuck? Riven and the Vault are the two walls where most learners stall. A Destiny 2 raid carry guarantees the clear and the loot.
Last Wish first launched on September 14, 2018, and the world-first clear took Clan Redeem 18 hours and 48 minutes — a reminder of how brutal it once was. Today, with modern power levels and the wishing-wall skips, a coordinated fireteam clears it in well under an hour.
How to Access Last Wish
Last Wish sits in the Dreaming City, tied to the Forsaken Pack. It wasn't vaulted when the Forsaken campaign was removed, so if you can select the Dreaming City on the Director, you can launch the raid. Open the Awoken destination, pick the raid banner, and load in with a full fireteam of six.
Use the in-game Fireteam Finder if you're solo — it's now reliable enough to fill a run with randoms, and plenty of listings are tagged "teaching" or "farm." Before you commit to a full clear, know your goal: a clean loot run, or a fast One Thousand Voices farm using the Riven skip below.
What Are the Last Wish Encounters, in Order?
The raid runs in a fixed sequence. Here's each encounter and the one thing that matters most.
Kalli, the Corrupted
The opening boss. Your fireteam clears adds while a rotation of nine plates around the arena becomes "safe" (clear of Taken blight). Stand on the correct plates, cleanse them, then dunk to open the central damage phase. Cleanse all nine plates before you start damage or Kalli detonates and wipes the team — that's also the Summoning Ritual challenge. Burn her, wipe the arena of adds when she reforms, and repeat until she dies.
Shuro Chi, the Corrupted
A timed puzzle fight. Players push Shuro Chi across three platforms by standing on symbol plates in the correct order while a countdown ticks. Mess up the sequence and she casts an arc blast that one-shots. Rotate through the plates cleanly to build the bridge, deal damage on each platform, and finish her before the timer expires. Taking zero arc-blast damage across the fight completes the Coliseum Champion challenge.
Bonus: the ledge behind Shuro Chi's arena is the community's favorite infinite-ammo testing spot for DPS and weapon rolls.
Morgeth, the Spirekeeper
An add-heavy DPS check. Taken Ogres called Taken Strength spawn and buff Morgeth's health; a player picks up the Taken Strength buff to siphon it, then passes it before it overloads. Manage the buff, drop the Ogres (except during the Forever Fight challenge, which requires killing none), and pour damage into Morgeth during the window. Kill him to open the path to the Vault.
The Vault
A symbol-matching encounter with three side rooms — the Tree, the Rock, and the Orb — each showing a set of symbols. Players compare symbols across rooms; when you find your matching symbol, you cleanse your plate with the Penumbra buff if the symbol sits on the left or the Antumbra buff if it's on the right. Accurate callouts are everything here — a central caller relays symbols, runners cleanse, and the team funnels charges to open the vault door. Killing the Might of Riven knights before they reach the center chamber completes Keep Out. This is the encounter that most often trips up teaching runs.
Riven of a Thousand Voices
The final boss and the reason you're here. Riven opens her mouth and eyes in a set pattern; your fireteam splits left and right, calls out which eyes are glowing, and shoots them in sequence to stagger her. After two damage phases she's downed and her mouth opens — a player jumps inside and shoots the blight to end the fight. Strength of Memory asks you to never shoot the same eye twice.
The cheese: Riven is famously easy to cheese with a burst of burst damage inside her mouth, skipping the full mechanic. Nearly every farm run uses it. As one r/DestinyTheGame thread bluntly put it, "One Thousand Voices is infinitely farmable now."
The Queenswalk (Heart Run)
Not a boss — a relay. You start in Riven's chest cavity with her heart on the ground. One player grabs it, sprints through the Ascendant Plane staying inside beams of light to keep the heart "pumping," and after ~15 seconds hands off to the next runner. Carry the heart all the way back to the pool at the entrance of the gravity lift you rode up to reach the Vault. Dunk it, and the final chest — the one that can drop One Thousand Voices — appears.
The Wall of Wishes: Shortcuts You Should Know
Right at the start of the raid, before Kalli, is the Wall of Wishes (the "wishing wall") — a grid of nodes you shoot to cycle through 16 symbols, then step on the center plate to submit. There are 14 known wishes. Two of them matter for almost everyone:
- Wish 1 — Ethereal Key. Grants an Ethereal Key, a one-time-per-character-per-week token that opens a bonus chest after the Queenswalk. That's up to three extra One Thousand Voices rolls per account per week if you run it on all three characters.
- Wish 7 — "To Help a Friend in Need." Teleports your entire fireteam directly to the Riven encounter, skipping the first four fights. This is the backbone of every efficient One Thousand Voices farm.
Other wishes teleport you to specific checkpoints (Wish 4 → Shuro Chi, Wish 5 → Morgeth, Wish 6 → The Vault), grant the exclusive Numbers of Power emblem, or spawn secret chests. Look up the exact symbol pattern for the wish you want before you input it — a wrong sequence can wipe the team.

How to Get (and Farm) One Thousand Voices
One Thousand Voices only drops from the final chest after the Queenswalk — it can't drop from any other encounter or secret chest in the raid. The good news: since Bungie made all raid exotics farmable, there's no weekly lockout on the weapon itself. If you don't get it, run it again.
The fast farm loop:
- At the Wall of Wishes, input Wish 1 for your Ethereal Key (once per character, per week).
- Input Wish 7 to teleport straight to Riven.
- Cheese Riven with a strong burst DPS setup.
- Run the Queenswalk heart back to the pool.
- Open the end chest — plus the Ethereal Key chest if you have a key — for your One Thousand Voices rolls.
- Leave, reload the raid, and repeat.
It is not a guaranteed drop, so plan on multiple runs — some Guardians grab it in one Queenswalk, others grind a dozen. Running all three characters each week maximizes your key-backed chances. Need the exotic engram economy to keep up? See our exotic engrams farm guide.
The catalyst: the One Thousand Voices Catalyst comes from repeat-farming the same Queenswalk chest (or from Morgeth in the Pantheon when that event is active). It transforms the weapon into arguably the best sustained-DPS exotic in the sandbox — well worth the extra runs.

Every raid weapon can now roll with modern, craftable-tier perks, and Apex Predator (the raid rocket launcher) remains a top-tier DPS pick — reason enough to keep running Last Wish even after One Thousand Voices lands.
Ready to Skip the Grind?
Riven cheese, the Vault callouts, and the Queenswalk relay all assume a fireteam that already knows the raid. If you're short players or short on time, a professional carry gets you the clear and the loot without the six-hour teaching run.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does Last Wish take? A carried learner can be through in 30–45 minutes; a proper teaching run where everyone learns mechanics runs closer to 2–3 hours. Experienced fireteams using the Riven skip farm it in a few minutes per loop. Six blind players will take much longer — the Vault and Riven are hard stops for newcomers.
Is One Thousand Voices a guaranteed drop? No. It only drops from the final chest after the Queenswalk, and it's a chance-based roll. Because the weapon is now infinitely farmable, you can run the raid as many times as you like until it drops — using Wish 1 Ethereal Keys on all three characters gives you the most rolls per week.
Where is the Wall of Wishes? It's at the very start of the raid, before the Kalli encounter. Shoot the nodes to cycle through the 16 symbols, match the pattern for the wish you want (Wish 1 for an Ethereal Key, Wish 7 to teleport to Riven), and step on the center plate to submit.
Can you farm One Thousand Voices solo? The full raid isn't solo-clearable, but experienced players use the Riven cheese and a specific Queenswalk route to reach the end chest with a very small team. For most players, a three-to-six-player farm using Wish 7 is far faster and more reliable.
Do I need an expansion to play Last Wish? You need the Forsaken Pack (the Dreaming City), which wasn't vaulted with the rest of Forsaken. If the Dreaming City appears on your Director and you can launch the raid banner, you're set — no current-season expansion required.
Is Last Wish still worth running in 2026? Yes. One Thousand Voices is one of the best sustained-DPS exotics in the game, Apex Predator is a top raid rocket, and with every exotic now farmable, Last Wish is one of the most rewarding old raids to run weekly.
