The Fortnite Battle Pass is changing, and Epic has now answered the biggest question: which Treasure Hunters characters actually belong to the pass? Its 30 October reveal separates the new pass outfits from the One Piece characters arriving in the Shop. That matters if you are deciding whether to buy the pass, gift it to a friend, or save your balance for one particular character.
Quick answer (updated 1 November 2026): The Treasure Hunters Battle Pass is live now with update v43.00. Epic names Portgas D. Ace, Nico Robin, and new anime looks for Jonesy, Cuddle Team Leader and Charlotte. Gifting the pass gives both players the Dark Kawaii Team Leader Outfit style. Beebom and GamesRadar report 800 V-Bucks, and Beebom counts five cosmetic sets and 77 rewards, but Epic's posts don't print the price or individual unlock levels, so go by the in-game Passes tab. Luffy is a Shop character, not a pass reward.

Epic's Treasure Hunters announcement names five characters or character variants in its Battle Pass section:

Epic's wording is direct: “Portgas D. Ace and Nico Robin are featured in the new Battle Pass alongside new anime looks for Jonesy, Cuddle Team Leader, and Charlotte.” This is a confirmed list, not a datamine or a reading of a blurry wanted poster.
The reveal does not provide a complete page-by-page reward catalogue. Do not interpret five named outfits as five instant unlocks when you purchase. A pass normally includes progression requirements; the Treasure Hunters requirements must be checked on its actual reward pages when available.
Earlier predictions placed Hope, Oscar or other trailer characters in the pass. Those predictions are not the confirmed lineup. Likewise, Epic mentioning Captain X's mega chest does not establish Captain X as a pass reward: Epic's Battle Pass paragraph does not name him.
Is Luffy in the Battle Pass, or in the Shop?
Epic lists Luffy in the Shop section. It lists Ace and Nico Robin in the Battle Pass section. That is the useful distinction for anyone searching for the One Piece pass, rather than assuming every character in the season trailer comes with the same purchase.

This table records announced acquisition routes, not today's Shop inventory. Shop availability can rotate, and the reveal gives no character prices. Check the in-game offer before spending; a trailer, a map boss and an outfit listing are different things.

How do you get the Dark Kawaii Team Leader gift style?
Epic says: “Gift the Battle Pass to a friend and you’ll both receive a bonus Dark Kawaii Team Leader Outfit style.” The important words are gift, both, and style.
- The announced trigger is gifting the Battle Pass to a friend.
- Epic says both players receive the bonus.
- It calls the reward an Outfit style, not a separately promised standalone outfit.
Buying a pass for yourself is not the same action as gifting one. Owning Fortnite Crew is also not described in this announcement as a substitute for gifting. If the style is the reason you are buying, read the actual gifting offer before completing checkout.
The reveal does not explain every eligibility edge case, when the style is delivered, or how the bonus interacts with a recipient who already has pass access. Do not buy a second pass or renew Crew on the assumption that either action qualifies. Wait for the gifting screen to show what is being sent and to whom.
This is especially relevant during the changeover. Make sure the offer names Treasure Hunters, not the outgoing Override pass. If gifting is unavailable, check Epic's gifting requirements and account eligibility rather than buying something different and expecting the same bonus.
How much does the Fortnite Battle Pass cost?
The current Override Battle Pass costs 800 V-Bucks, according to Epic's Battle Pass page. Epic's March 2026 pricing announcement changed the Battle Pass pricing and currency-reward structure. Older guides quoting a universal 950 or 1,000 V-Buck price are not a reliable guide to the current offer.
For Treasure Hunters, keep the verified current price separate from an unannounced future price:

An 800-V-Buck price is the current reference point, not a price confirmation for Treasure Hunters. The same caution applies to claims that completing the next pass will definitely fund another one. That calculation needs the actual purchase price and the currency rewards shown on the new pass.
Also separate unlocking premium access from completing the rewards. Buying access does not mean every outfit and style instantly appears in your Locker. Review the reward pages before purchasing levels or deciding how much time the pass will take.
When did Override end and Treasure Hunters begin?
Both happened on 1 November 2026. Override ended when v43.00 downtime began at 1 AM ET (05:00 UTC), and Epic's status page marked the downtime complete at 08:12 UTC, so the new pass is live. For the patch notes, see our Fortnite update guide.
Epic set the first Captain's Day for 1 November at 9 AM ET, followed by dates on 7, 12, 14 and 21 November.
Looking further ahead, Epic confirms a Chapter 7 end event on Saturday, 5 December 2026. Its reveal does not supply an exact hour or a separate Battle Pass cutoff. Keep the event date and the final pass deadline distinct until the reward screen or an official notice specifies the latter.
Fortnite OG, Music and LEGO passes have their own schedules. A Battle Royale changeover is not proof that every pass in the Passes tab ends that day.

What if you didn't finish the Override Battle Pass?
Override closed on 1 November, so unreached levels can't be earned now. Check your Locker for what you did earn, and don't rely only on your account level or a notification badge.
Override's character lineup includes Sonic the Hedgehog, Wrixel, Phantom, Mali, Bastian, K1tty W1ns, Grace Crowne and Geno. That is the old pass, not the Treasure Hunters list above. If your goal is one of those characters or a particular style, inspect its remaining requirement now.
What happens to earned rewards you have not claimed?
Epic Player Support says: “If you forget to claim rewards from the Passes in Fortnite before the season ends, you will receive them automatically the next time you log in.”
The important limit is that these are unclaimed rewards, not permission to finish an expired pass afterward. Do not interpret automatic claiming as a promise that every locked cosmetic will be granted. If you have time before the rollover, claiming available rewards yourself makes it easier to see what remains incomplete.
If something appears missing afterward, first check the correct Epic account and the relevant Locker category. Record the pass name, reward name and what its page showed. Those details are more useful to support than a screenshot of an overall reward counter alone.

Is the Treasure Hunters Battle Pass worth buying?
Buy it if Ace, Robin or the anime remixes are your target. The season is short, so check you've got time to reach the rewards you want.
For a Luffy-focused player, the pass is not automatically the correct purchase: Epic lists Luffy separately for the Shop. If you want several of the five named pass characters, check the full pass in-game first.
Before paying, compare three things: the displayed price, the rewards you actually want, and the time you expect to play. If the gifting style matters, verify that the offer explicitly qualifies. If currency payback matters, count the pass's actual currency rewards rather than copying a previous season's calculation.
