Fortnite Music Pass: Next Pass 12 November, Price, Rewards & End Date

Quick answer (updated 31 October 2026): The next Fortnite Music Pass drops on 12 November 2026. Epic said on 31 October that extending the current pass to 21 January "wasn't the right move", so that date no longer holds. The new pass will be smaller and cost 1,000 V-Bucks, and Epic hasn't named the headliner yet. Regular Music Passes cost 1,200 V-Bucks or come with a Fortnite Crew subscription. The current pass is the Neon Dreams Music Pass with Lil Tecca. Epic hasn't printed a new end date for it, so plan on finishing it before 12 November, about 12 days from now.

  • Next pass: 12 November 2026, 1,000 V-Bucks, smaller than usual. Source: Fortnite Status.
  • Regular price: 1,200 V-Bucks, or included with Fortnite Crew ($11.99/month). Source: Epic Player Support.
  • Current pass: Festival Season 15, the Neon Dreams Music Pass. It started on 30 July 2026 with Lil Tecca as the Icon.
  • End date: Epic hasn't restated it. The original date was 31 October and the 21 January extension was scrapped, so treat 12 November as the deadline.
  • Next headliner: not announced. Epic says to "stay tuned for the headliner reveal."
  • Progress: XP from any Fortnite experience counts. You don't have to play Festival to level the pass.
  • Crew catch: Crew subscribers can only claim premium Music Pass rewards while their subscription is active.

What is the Fortnite Music Pass?

The Music Pass is one of the four passes Fortnite sells next to each other: the Battle Pass, OG Pass, LEGO Pass and Music Pass. It started out as the Festival Pass in Chapter 5 Season 1 (December 2023) and got its current name with Chapter 2 Remix in November 2024. Epic's support page describes it as a pass that "grants players music-themed cosmetics, jam tracks, and outfits related to featured artists."

Most Festival seasons have a headline artist, called the Icon, whose outfit, instruments and Jam Tracks make up the core of the pass. Not all of them, though: Season 11's Mixtape pass was built around Fortnite-original outfits (Sedona and Jana Pastel) and tracks from several artists. The pass follows Festival's season calendar, which is separate from the Battle Royale calendar. That's why the Music Pass can keep running after a Battle Royale season ends. It's also why this week's extension doesn't affect the Battle Pass at all.

How you level it matters more than most players realise. Epic's support article says: "All passes in Fortnite last for one season and progress simultaneously when you earn XP from playing any experience." XP from Battle Royale, Reload, LEGO Fortnite, Creative maps or Festival all fills the Music Pass, the Battle Pass and the other passes at once. You can finish the Music Pass without ever playing a Festival song.

How much does the Music Pass cost?

Music Pass1,200 V-BucksYes
LEGO Pass1,200 V-BucksYes
Battle Pass800 V-BucksYes
OG Pass800 V-BucksYes

Prices from Epic's pass support article, checked 29 October 2026.

The Music Pass started at 1,800 V-Bucks as the Festival Pass. It later dropped to 1,400, then to 1,200 in Epic's March 2026 V-Bucks repricing. Unlike the Battle Pass, it doesn't pay back V-Bucks, so you can't use one season's Music Pass to fund the next.

Fortnite Crew costs $11.99 a month. It includes all four passes, a monthly Crew outfit and 800 V-Bucks (cut from 1,000 on 6 June 2026). There's one catch. Since December 2024, premium Music Pass rewards can only be claimed while your Crew subscription is active, and that rule applies to every subscriber. If your Crew lapses, the premium track locks again until you resubscribe. Your levels aren't lost.

What happened to the January 21 Music Pass extension?

Epic dropped it two days after announcing it. On 29 October, a post relayed by FortniteStatusBot on r/FortniteFestival said:

"We've extended the current Music Pass to January 21. Stay tuned for more music updates."

Players pushed back hard, and our Crew guide covers the refund row that followed. On 31 October Epic reversed course:

"Extending the LEGO and Music Passes wasn't the right move. Here's the plan: The next Music Pass now drops November 12. Stay tuned for the headliner reveal. The new LEGO Pass drops December 5 with our next big update. Pack your bags, KD Rattical. To get these passes to you sooner, they'll be a little smaller, similar to our mini season Battle Passes, and cost 1,000 V-Bucks. Future passes will return to their regular size and come out more often." — Fortnite Status, 31 October 2026

Here is what's actually known:

  • The next Music Pass drops on 12 November 2026. That's 12 days after the original 31 October end date.
  • It will cost 1,000 V-Bucks, not the regular 1,200. Epic says it'll be "a little smaller, similar to our mini season Battle Passes".
  • The smaller size is temporary. Epic says future passes "will return to their regular size and come out more often."
  • Neon Dreams has no restated end date. Epic's post doesn't mention it directly. Music Passes normally end as the next one starts, which would put the end around 12 November. That's our reading, not Epic's wording, so check the in-game timer.
  • No Festival Season 16 pass arrives on 1 November. The Treasure Hunters launch has only the Battle Pass.

The timing is what upset people. Treasure Hunters marketing features several music acts: Epic's own trailer shows A$AP Rocky, Hatsune Miku and Kasane Teto (see our Teto and Miku collab breakdown), and Lil Uzi Vert is on the same schedule (our Uzi page). One of the top replies under the 29 October post put it bluntly: "Yall literally are releasing 3 artist next season. Literally couldn't just put 1 in there."

What's in the Neon Dreams Music Pass?

Lil Tecca outfit with Neon Dreams Music Pass gear: guitar, Mic Mace pickaxe and Tecca's World back bling

Epic's Season 15 announcement names the main rewards: "the music-reactive Tour Ready Lil Tecca Outfit, the Mic Mace Pickaxe, Tecca's World Back Bling, and the Dopamine Tour-inspired Guitar." The pass is split into four pages. The table below lists the notable rewards on each page, not every spray and banner. You unlock the later pages by claiming rewards or reaching set levels:

A few things worth knowing:

  • The Item Shop outfit is a different item. Epic sells a separate Lil Tecca outfit with a Ransom Toon style in the shop, along with the Mic Stand, Dopamine Blades pickaxe and Dark Thoughts emote. Those aren't in the pass.
  • Jam Tracks aren't only for Festival. You can also set them as lobby music.
  • Pass items aren't exclusive forever. The wiki notes that Music Pass items can come back to the Item Shop after the season ends. You can't go back and buy an old Music Pass, though.

Is it still worth buying the Music Pass now?

Only if you want the Lil Tecca set and can finish it fast. If Neon Dreams ends around 12 November, you have about 12 days, not the 84 the January date promised. Page 4 needs 45 levels, so check your current level before you spend anything. How fast you level depends on what you play.

If you already pay for Crew, there's nothing to decide. The pass is already unlocked. Just keep your subscription active on the day you claim premium rewards.

If you're waiting for the next headliner, hold your V-Bucks. The next pass costs 1,000 V-Bucks and arrives on 12 November. Buying Neon Dreams now doesn't get you anything from it.

Players who switch Crew on and off already shared a plan in the thread. It works because levels carry on even when you're not subscribed: "Your levels will still count so you'll collect all the rewards that same day." That's a player tactic, not Epic advice, but it matches how the active-subscription rule works.

Dates from the Fortnite Wiki Music Pass page; Season 15's end is our estimate from Epic's 31 October 2026 post.

The typical Music Pass has lasted about 70 days, so Season 15 would still run about 50% longer than usual if it ends around 12 November. Some players read the extension as a sign Festival was winding down. A new pass 12 days later is evidence against that. Festival's Main Stage and Jam Stage are still live, and Epic is still releasing Jam Tracks. Keep in mind, though, that Epic removed Festival Battle Stage in April 2026 and has been cutting modes that don't hold enough players.

Who is the next Music Pass artist?

Unknown. Epic hasn't named a Festival Season 16 Icon. Its only line is "Stay tuned for the headliner reveal."

Lil Uzi Vert's Item Shop date is also 12 November, according to Epic's Treasure Hunters post, but Epic hasn't linked him to the Music Pass. A$AP Rocky, Hatsune Miku and Kasane Teto have their own Shop dates too. Treat any artist name as a guess until Epic posts the reveal.
