What's new in Treasure Hunters?
Treasure Hunters replaces the Override island with Crossbones Isle, an 80-player Battle Royale map. Cannons launch you across the island, and One Piece powers join the fight. Epic's summary sets out the season's structure:
"Each week, a new captain arrives in Battle Royale with their own crew and POI: the Straw Hats and A$AP Rocky lead the way, followed by Lil Uzi Vert, Cap'n Hatsune Miku and Kasane Teto." — Epic Games, 30 October 2026
Epic's v43.00 notes fill in the rest:
- Locations: the notes describe The $.$. Rocky, Lantern Lanes, Baratie Bay, Windmill Village, Loguetown, Arlong Park, Crew's Cove, Plunder Port, Fort Fortuna, Rubber Resort and Captain's Cenote. Six of those match Epic's map labels. Our Crossbones Isle map guide compares both lists.
- Weapons and powers: Gum-Gum Fruit, Flame-Flame Fruit, Zoro's Three Sword Style, Shock Rocket, Usopp's Slingshot, Bundlebuss Repeater Rifle and Gilded Dragoon Shotgun. Our weapons guide has the stats.
- Boss: Beat A$AP Rocky aboard The $.$. Rocky and he can drop his Shock Rocket and the Lil' Flacko Sprite.
- Economy: "Gold Bars have been vaulted", Follower services are free, and Vending Machines are gone.
- Sprites: 11 new Sprites, plus Wanted Posters that lead to buried Sprite Chests.
- Ranked: a new Ranked season with new rewards from Gold to Unreal.
- Map Fragments: Epic says you might find one, and that it's "just one piece of something bigger". It hasn't said what they unlock.
- Captain X's mega chest: Epic's 30 October post teases what's inside but doesn't say where it is.
This all applies to the main Battle Royale game. Fortnite OG is a separate season line with its own island.
What's in the Treasure Hunters Battle Pass?
Epic names five characters in the new pass: Portgas D. Ace, Nico Robin, Jonesy, Cuddle Team Leader and Charlotte. The last three are new anime looks. If you gift the pass to a friend, Epic says you'll both get a bonus Dark Kawaii Team Leader Outfit style.
Two points are causing confusion:
- Anime Hope isn't on Epic's list. It's a common question on r/FortniteBR, partly because some guides still print the older leaked lineup with Hope and Oscar. Oscar does reach the island on 21 November, with his Frenzy Auto Shotgun. Whether Hope arrives another way hasn't been announced.
- Luffy isn't in the pass. Epic lists Luffy, Nami and Usopp as Item Shop characters. Ace and Robin are the One Piece characters in the pass.
Beebom and GamesRadar report a price of 800 V-Bucks, the same as Override, and Beebom counts 77 rewards. Epic's posts don't print either number, so go by the in-game listing. The Fortnite Wiki says mini-season passes have 5 outfits and 50 rewards, plus 10 bonus rewards.
There's no new Music Pass or LEGO Pass on launch day, but the wait is now far shorter. Epic scrapped the extensions it posted on 29 October:
"Extending the LEGO and Music Passes wasn't the right move. Here's the plan: The next Music Pass now drops November 12. Stay tuned for the headliner reveal. The new LEGO Pass drops December 5 with our next big update." — Fortnite Status, 31 October 2026

Fortnite x One Piece is confirmed, and Epic has now dated each Shop drop. It hasn't announced prices. This table puts the Shop dates and Captain's Days side by side:

What are Captain's Days, Mastery Mondays and Treasure Hours?
These are the season's recurring events, and they're the closest thing to a weekly schedule so far.
- Captain's Days are the five dates in the table above. Epic says "all-new weapons, Sprites, and more drop on the map" on each one.
- Mastery Mondays run every Monday from 9 AM ET with 2x Sprite XP and 2x Sprite Dust, starting 2 November.
- Treasure Hours Sundays run throughout the season. Epic's 30 October post says these windows add Captain's weapons to the start of every match, boosted drops and more.
The Sprites line matters because it settles an open question: Sprites are part of Treasure Hunters. Our Sprites explainer covers what happened to Sprite Dust and Gizmos at the last season change.
Epic hasn't published a Treasure Hunters weekly quest list on its site. We won't guess at names or XP totals, so check the Quests tab in-game.
When does Treasure Hunters end, and is there a live event?
Epic has dated the finale but not the end of the season:
"A little treasure hunting tip: keep Saturday, December 5, open. Time is on your side… for now. Don't miss an unforgettable Chapter 7 end event." — Epic Games
Epic hasn't given the event's start time, and the Fortnite Wiki is the source for the season's 5 December end date. If that holds, Treasure Hunters lasts 34 days. That's longer than The Simpsons mini-season (28 days, 1 to 29 November 2025) and close to Galactic Battle (36 days, 2 May to 7 June 2025).
Chapter 8 is a different matter. Leakers have floated dates around late November and early December, but Epic hasn't announced one. Its 31 October post says the LEGO Pass arrives on 5 December "with our next big update", though it doesn't call that update Chapter 8. Don't treat a Chapter 8 date as fact yet. What happened to Override?
Override ended when downtime began. Rewards you earned but didn't claim are granted on your next login, according to Epic. Levels you didn't reach are gone.
