Fortnite's new season is short. Treasure Hunters (update v43.00) went live on 1 November 2026, and Epic has dated the Chapter 7 end event for Saturday 5 December 2026. That gives you 34 days in total, and 32 days from today, 3 November, to clear a Battle Pass. Every level costs the same 80,000 XP it did in Override, so a shorter season means a higher daily target. This guide is updated for Treasure Hunters on 3 November 2026. Each number is labelled with its source: Epic, the in-game screen, the Fortnite Wiki, or community testing.
Quick answer: One Treasure Hunters Battle Pass level is 80,000 XP (shown in the in-game Quests tab). The pass's standard track is 50 rewards (Fortnite Wiki), so it needs about 4,000,000 XP. From 3 November that is about 125,000 XP a day, or 1.6 levels, until 5 December. The fastest route: clear every Weekly Quest (20,000 XP each), chase the Captain X milestones, grab each week's Map Fragment, then top up on legitimate Creative XP islands. Mastery Monday doubles Sprite XP, not Battle Pass XP.

How much XP do you need to finish the Treasure Hunters Battle Pass?
Start with the maths, because it tells you how hard you need to grind.
| Item | Treasure Hunters figure | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Season start | 1 November 2026 (v43.00, servers back 08:12 UTC) | Epic status page |
| Season end | Chapter 7 end event, Saturday 5 December 2026 | Epic |
| XP per Battle Pass level | 80,000 | In-game Quests tab, Fortnite Wiki |
| Standard reward track | 50 rewards | Fortnite Wiki |
| XP for the full standard track | ≈4,000,000 | 50 × 80,000 |
| Daily target from 3 November | ≈125,000 XP | 4,000,000 ÷ 32 days |
| Pass price | 800 V-Bucks (included with Fortnite Crew) | Fortnite Wiki |
| 10-level boost | 750 V-Bucks | Fortnite Wiki |
A full season pass in Chapter 7 ran to 100 levels. Treasure Hunters is a mini season, so the Wiki lists a 50-item standard track. Half the levels in less than half the time: that's why the daily target comes out at about 125,000 XP, above the ~110,000 a day Override needed for its 100 levels over 73 days.
The Fortnite Wiki puts it plainly: "Battle Pass levels require 80,000 XP, or up to 59 rewards can be claimed individually for 150 V-Bucks each." That number matches the "80,000 XP to next LVL" counter in the in-game Quests tab, in the image at the top of this page.
If you fall behind, you can still finish. You can buy single rewards for 150 V-Bucks, or the 750 V-Bucks 10-level boost. You don't need to. One evening of Weekly Quests covers more than a day's target, so if you start this week you can finish the pass without spending anything beyond the pass itself.
What's the fastest way to level up in Fortnite right now?
Here is the Treasure Hunters order, ranked by XP for your time.
1. Weekly Quests: 20,000 XP each, and they stack
Every Weekly Quest in Treasure Hunters pays a flat 20,000 XP, the "20k" tag on each quest card in game. That's a quarter of a level per quest, so four Weekly Quests equal one Battle Pass level.
The season opened with a four-quest Kickstart batch, shown in the Quests tab:
- Consume a Devil Fruit (1)
- Use rift service or hire a specialist in different matches (2)
- Fire a cannon loaded with a cannonball or a player (1)
- Use Sprite Wanted Posters to dig up and open Sprite Chests (3)
Beebom lists six Week 1 quests (damage A$AP Rocky with two different weapons, travel distance in the air under low gravity, 5 shotgun eliminations, collect 10 Epic-or-better weapons, contact Slone on the Slone Phone in Plunder Port, visit 3 Named Locations in one match). It also lists seven Week 2 quests built around Lil Uzi Vert. Beebom says new batches arrive Thursdays at 9 AM ET. Epic's own launch post dates the weekly content drops to 7, 14 and 21 November, so check the Quests tab on both days.
Most of these finish without trying in normal matches. Two speed tips:
- Stack quests per match. Land at Plunder Port for the Slone Phone and visit two more Named Locations before you leave. Use a shotgun for the elimination quest, and pick up Epic weapons on the way.
- The Devil Fruit quest is the slowest. Outlets disagree on where Gum-Gum and Flame-Flame Fruit appear: Beebom and GAMES.GG say a Rift spawn marked for the lobby, others say random floor loot. Epic hasn't said. If you see one, take it.
2. Captain X milestones: the bonus for doing what you're already doing
Weekly Quests also count toward the Captain X Rewards track, which needs the Battle Pass. The in-game track shows milestones at 4, 8, 12, 14 and 24 completed Weekly Quests. At 4 you get The Treasure Hunt Begins loading screen. At 24 you get the Captain X outfit (Beebom lists the banner icon, spray and back bling in between).
The Captain X rewards themselves aren't XP. But 24 Weekly Quests is 480,000 XP, or six Battle Pass levels, on the way to an outfit. You'd be doing the Weekly Quests anyway, so this is the main reason to clear every one rather than cherry-pick.
3. Map Fragments and Treasure Hunt quests
Epic says a new Map Fragment turns up "each Captain's Day - there's a new one every week." Beebom's quest list pays 10,000 XP for collecting the first one at The $.$. Rocky, A$AP Rocky's ship, where you also fight Rocky as a boss. Pick it up on the same drop as your Week 1 Rocky damage quest. See our Treasure Hunters map guide for where each POI sits.
4. Creative XP islands: top up, don't live there
Creator-made islands pay account XP for playtime and accolades, and they remain the main way to add XP beyond quests. Two rules keep it worth your time:
- Pick islands that make you play. Epic's island calibration documentation explains that new accolade islands go through calibration before their XP is set, so a new or uncalibrated map may pay much less than its thumbnail claims. Our tested list is in the best Fortnite XP maps guide.
- Skip the "AFK no timer" maps. YouTube already has several labelled for Treasure Hunters. Island XP is weighted by calibration, so a map that pays for idling today can pay far less after Epic recalibrates it. Don't plan your season around something that can stop paying any day.
5. Normal matches, Sprites and the Gold Sprite (12 November)
Eliminations, placement and survival pay XP, but they're the slowest source per minute. Treat them as extra XP on top of your quests. One thing worth timing: Epic says the Gold Sprite arrives on 12 November and lets you "Gain bonus XP from eliminating opponents." Epic hasn't put a number on it, so if you're behind by mid-November, play aggressive matches with one equipped.
Does Mastery Monday give double XP?
Not Battle Pass XP. This is the most common mix-up this season. Epic's wording: "every Monday from 9 AM ET, earn 2x Sprite XP and 2x Sprite Dust all day long." Sprite XP levels your Sprites toward Mastery. It doesn't move your account level or your Battle Pass.
Mastery still pays, just not in levels. Epic says mastering Sprites earns Lucky Locators, Golden Fireworks and other Gizmos, with a new page every week under the Treasure tab. Mastering 40 Sprites earns the Navigator's Nosedive Umbrella. If you want Sprites, our Treasure Hunters Sprites checklist covers every one. If you only want levels, skip Monday Sprite farming and do quests.
Why won't my Sprite Chest open for the Weekly Quest?
The Kickstart quest asks you to dig up and open 3 Sprite Chests from Wanted Posters. A lot of players are stuck on it. A thread on r/FortNiteBR on 3 November says buried Treasure Chests are "broken", with reports from PC, PS5, Xbox and Switch 2. The chest is dug up but won't open on the last pickaxe hit.
The workarounds in that thread:
"You gotta try hitting the outer rubble ring, not the chest itself. I found this to be the most concistent way." (r/FortNiteBR player, 3 November 2026)
Other players say to crouch for the final hit, or to walk away and come back. Epic hadn't listed it as a known issue when we checked, so these are community workarounds rather than a fix. If one chest won't open, don't burn the match on it: the next Wanted Poster gives you another try.
Does Ranked help you level up faster?
No. Ranked progress is tracked separately from your Battle Pass level, and Epic offers no Ranked XP bonus. Treasure Hunters opened a new Ranked season with its own rewards: Epic lists a Gold emoticon, a Platinum loading screen, a Diamond spray, the Par-Rot back bling at Elite and the Double-Duty Duelist pickaxe at Unreal. Climb for those, not for levels. If your goal is the pass, unranked Battle Royale with quests tracked is faster.

Is there a weekly XP cap in Treasure Hunters?
Epic has never published one. Over recent seasons, community testing has put a soft weekly ceiling near 4,000,000 XP. Separately, XP from Creative islands appears to slow down after a few million in a week. These are community-measured figures, not Epic's, and they can change between updates.
For Treasure Hunters this barely matters. The whole 50-reward standard track is about 4,000,000 XP, so even if those caps apply, they only slow you down if you try to finish the pass in a single week. Spread over 32 days, you'll never get near them.
A realistic plan to finish by 5 December
Here's how the season breaks down from 3 November:
- Each week: clear every Weekly Quest as soon as it unlocks (Beebom says Thursdays 9 AM ET; Epic's week content lands 7, 14 and 21 November). Collect that week's Map Fragment. That's roughly 120,000-140,000 XP a week from Weekly Quests alone (6-7 quests at 20,000), plus the Captain X milestones.
- Each session: play a few Battle Royale matches with quests tracked, then 20-30 minutes on a calibrated XP island until the gains slow down.
- Around 12 November: if you're behind, equip the Gold Sprite and play for eliminations.
- The last week (from 28 November): check your level against 50. If you're short, the 10-level boost (750 V-Bucks) or single rewards (150 V-Bucks each) are the paid fallback, but most players who start this week won't need them.
Check our season end countdown for the end-event timing as Epic confirms it, and the Treasure Hunters Battle Pass guide to see which rewards sit at which level.
What not to do
Leveling is a magnet for scams. Avoid these:
- No paid "XP boost" or account services. Letting someone else log into your account breaks Epic's Terms of Service and puts the account at risk. Epic's only paid shortcuts are the boost and single rewards inside the game.
- No "free V-Bucks" for leveling. Epic has never issued free-V-Bucks codes. Every site offering them is a scam. The only V-Bucks you earn from leveling are the ones inside the Battle Pass itself.
- Don't chase the Pirate Shop token for XP. Opening chests counts toward quests, but the token is a lottery, not a leveling plan. See our Pirate Shop guide for what's confirmed.
FAQ
How much XP is one level in Fortnite Treasure Hunters? 80,000 XP. The in-game Quests tab shows "80,000 XP to next LVL" and the Fortnite Wiki lists the same figure. The 50-reward standard track therefore needs about 4,000,000 XP.
What is the fastest way to level up in Fortnite Treasure Hunters? Do every Weekly Quest (20,000 XP each, four per level), stack several in one match, collect each week's Map Fragment, then top up on calibrated Creative XP islands. Kills and placement are the slowest XP per minute.
How many XP do I need per day to finish the pass? About 125,000 XP a day from 3 November to the 5 December end event, or roughly 1.6 levels a day.
Does Mastery Monday give double Battle Pass XP? No. Epic's Mastery Monday gives 2x Sprite XP and 2x Sprite Dust from 9 AM ET every Monday. Sprite XP levels your Sprites, not your Battle Pass.
What do I get for completing Weekly Quests? 20,000 XP each, plus Captain X rewards if you own the pass: the loading screen at 4 quests and the Captain X outfit at 24, with other items at 8, 12 and 14.
Why can't I open the buried Sprite Chest? It's a widely reported bug on every platform as of 3 November 2026. Players say to hit the outer rubble ring instead of the chest, or crouch for the last swing. Epic hasn't listed a fix yet.
When does Treasure Hunters end? Epic has dated the Chapter 7 end event for Saturday 5 December 2026 but hasn't announced an hour. Plan to finish your pass before that weekend.
