Quick answer (TLDR): As of November 2, 2026, the MM2 Emberscythe value is 300 on MM2 Values (range 250–300, marked Underpaid For) and 375 on Supreme Values (range 325–400). That's down from 1,900 and 1,800 on October 22. You make it by putting one Embersickle and one Emberbow into the Cauldron, but those parts now list for 405–460, so a normal craft loses about 85–105. Buying the knife is cheaper than crafting it. The only reason to craft is a chance at a Chroma Emberscythe, listed at 10,000 on both lists. MM2 values are community estimates, not Robux and not an official price.
Emberscythe was the headline item of Murder Mystery 2's Halloween 2026 event: the first Ancient you can craft since Season 1, and one of the first two Ancients with a Chroma version. Eleven days later it's worth about a sixth of its October 22 price, and any trade offer built on launch-week numbers is badly out of date.
Below: today's value on both lists, why it fell, the exact recipe, updated craft math, what the Chroma is worth now, and what a fair trade looks like.
Applies to: Murder Mystery 2 Halloween Event 2026, live October 18, 2026 19:00 UTC to November 16, 2026 18:00 UTC. Values were pulled November 2, 2026, around 13:30 UTC. Supreme's list was last rebuilt November 1 at 01:42 UTC.

What is the Emberscythe in MM2?
Emberscythe is an Ancient-rarity knife added in the Halloween Event 2026. According to the MM2 Wiki's Emberscythe page, it's "obtainable using the Cauldron to combine Embersickle and Emberbow during the Halloween Event 2026."
It's shaped like a scythe and follows the purple-and-gold scheme of every Ember item: a royal purple handle, a purple-and-gold pumpkin head at the joint, and a blade that runs from purple roots to a steel-grey tip.
Three things make it different from older Ancients:
- It's crafted, not bought or unboxed. The wiki's event page notes this is "the first event, since the release of season 1, where players could craft an ancient weapon."
- It has a Chroma. Chroma Emberscythe and Chroma Emberbow are the first two Chroma Ancients in the game.
- It completes a set. Emberscythe pairs with the Emberbow gun to make the Ancient Ember set.
What is the MM2 Emberscythe value today?
There is no official MM2 value list. These are the two community lists traders quote, checked November 2, 2026:
| Tracker | Emberscythe value | Range | Demand | Rarity | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| MM2 Values | 300 | 250–300 | 4 | 3.5 | Underpaid For |
| Supreme Values (via the Trade Hub mirror) | 375 | 325–400 | — | — | — |
The lists are 75 points apart, the widest gap in the plain Ember family (Emberbow is 50 apart, Embersickle 5). On MM2 Values, Emberscythe has slipped to 7th of 16 Ancients, behind Emberbow (325) and just ahead of Harvester (250). Demand has dropped from 7 to 4 since October 22.
Why did the Emberscythe value drop?
Neither list has published a reason. Here's the record:
| Date | MM2 Values | Supreme |
|---|---|---|
| October 22, 2026 | 1,900 | 1,800 |
| October 25, 2026 | 1,450 | not checked |
| October 29–30, 2026 | 1,150 | 725 (Oct 30) |
| October 31, 2026 (09:25 UTC) | 575 | 425 |
| November 2, 2026 | 300 | 375 |
That's −84% on MM2 Values and −79% on Supreme in eleven days. Three things line up with it:
- Its ingredients collapsed. While the Cauldron is open, the knife can't hold above the cost of its parts, because anyone can make one, and it now trades below even that. Embersickle went from 250 to 80 on MM2 Values, and Emberbow from 1,700 to 325.
- Those parts are still oversupplied. Over the last 30 days, Trade Hub counted Emberbow offered in 140 trades and asked for in 58, out of 3,890 posted. Embersickle is worse, at 319 offered to 56 asked.
- New copies are still being made. Nothing stops another Emberscythe entering the game until the Cauldron closes on November 16.
There's one small positive. Emberscythe itself is close to balanced on Trade Hub, at 32 offered and 33 asked, and solo offers ask a median 4% over list. That's only 8 solo offers, so it's thin evidence, and MM2 Values still tags it Underpaid For, which means real trades have been landing under the list price.
mm2values.app describes the event cycle on its Halloween values page: "Prices crash in the first week while everyone is opening boxes, bottom out near the end of the event, then climb slowly for years. If you are buying, buy late. If you are selling, sell early."
How do you get the Emberscythe in MM2?
You can trade for one or craft it. To craft, you need two items, then the Cauldron, which the wiki's Halloween Event 2026 page places behind the event NPC in the lobby.
- Get an Emberbow (Ancient gun). It's the tier-30 reward of the 30-tier Halloween battle pass. Tier 1 is free, tiers 2–29 cost 600 Candies each, and the Emberbow tier costs 100,000 Candies. That's about 117,000 Candies in total: the tier table adds up to 116,800, while the wiki overview says 117,400.
- Get an Embersickle (Godly knife). It drops from the 2026 Halloween Box at a 0.2% rate, according to the drop table on the MM2 Wiki. The box costs 600 Candies or 1 Halloween Key.
- Combine them at the Cauldron. You get one Emberscythe, with a low chance of a Chroma Emberscythe instead.
Don't unbox the Embersickle. At 0.2% you'd expect to open about 500 boxes, roughly 300,000 Candies, for an item that now lists at 80–85. Trade for it instead. Our MM2 Candies guide covers what your Candies are better spent on.
The wiki says players "are free to craft as many times as they please, as long as they have the required materials." After November 16, 2026, the event and the Cauldron end, and trading becomes the only way to get one.
Is crafting the Emberscythe worth it now?
No, not for the knife alone. Here's the math on today's values:
| MM2 Values | Supreme | |
|---|---|---|
| Emberbow (input) | 325 | 375 |
| Embersickle (input) | 80 | 85 |
| Inputs total | 405 | 460 |
| Emberscythe (output) | 300 | 375 |
| Net on a normal craft | −105 (−26%) | −85 (−18%) |
That loss has grown. On October 22 a normal craft lost only about 3–6%. If you hold both parts and just want the knife, you should get a better deal by trading them: Emberbow plus Embersickle is worth an Emberscythe plus about 85–105 in adds.
The Chroma roll is the only argument left. Chroma Emberscythe lists at 10,000 on both lists, about 33x a normal one on MM2 Values and 27x on Supreme. The odds are not published, and the wiki only says "low chance." So the table below shows what a craft would be worth at a few made-up odds, using MM2 Values prices:
| If the Chroma chance were… | Average result per craft | Net vs 405 of parts |
|---|---|---|
| 0.5% | 349 | −56 |
| 1.08% (break-even) | 405 | 0 |
| 2% | 494 | +89 |
| 5% | 785 | +380 |
On Supreme the break-even is about 0.9%. Nobody outside the developers knows which row is real, so treat a craft as a lottery ticket that costs about 100 in value, not as an investment.
Four practical rules:
- Buy, don't craft, if you just want the knife. At list prices, it's 85–105 cheaper than the parts.
- Don't craft to flip. The base output is worth less than the parts.
- Only roll what you can afford to lose. Both inputs are destroyed, and a miss leaves you with a tagged Underpaid For knife.
- Remember the set. Crafting uses up your Emberbow. For the full Ember set (Emberbow plus Emberscythe), you need two Emberbows.
What is Chroma Emberscythe worth?
Both lists now price it. Here's the Chroma Ember family on November 2, 2026:
| Item | Type | MM2 Values | Supreme |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chroma Emberscythe | Chroma Ancient knife (Cauldron) | 10,000 (9,250–10,500) | ~10,000 (9,500–10,500) |
| Chroma Emberbow | Chroma Ancient gun (tier 30, very rare) | 4,450 (4,000–4,750) | ~4,500 (4,250–4,750) |
| Chroma Embersickle | Chroma Godly knife (box, 0.004%) | 1,100 (1,000–1,100) | ~1,300 (1,200–1,400) |
| C. Emberscythe Set | Chroma Emberscythe + Chroma Emberbow | — | ~15,000 |
| Full C. Ember Set | All three Chromas | — | ~16,000 |
It ranks 9th of 46 Chromas on MM2 Values, between Chroma Raygun (12,500) and Chroma Sunrise (8,250), with demand 7. That's one of the two highest demand scores among Chromas. It's still marked Fluctuating: MM2 Values had it at 15,500 on October 30.
The two Chroma Ancients are falling more slowly than their plain versions. From October 30 to today, Chroma Emberscythe lost 35% on MM2 Values while plain Emberscythe lost 74%. One player in an r/MurderMystery2 thread called it early: "Only the chromas will stay the same, that's what's been happening with the last few updates." They haven't stayed the same, but the gap is real.
If you roll one, don't rush. Trade Hub shows 16 offers against 6 asks, so buyers have the edge right now. Trades that come out close to even include 3x Chroma Heart Wand (3,400 each) or 9x Chroma Embersickle (9,900 total). For the wider list, see our MM2 Chroma value list.

Should you trade an Embersickle for a Mortal?
Yes, take the Mortal. This verdict has flipped since launch week, when Embersickle was the better item:
| Embersickle | Mortal | |
|---|---|---|
| Rarity | Godly knife | Godly knife |
| How you get it | 0.2% from the Halloween Box | Bought for 1,699 Robux (or the 3,399 Robux Mortal Bundle with Immortal and the Smolder effect) |
| MM2 Values | 80 (demand 2) | 140 (demand 3) |
| Supreme | 85 | 150 |
| Trade Hub, 30 days | 319 offered, 56 asked | 149 offered, 56 asked |
| Craft use | Cauldron input for Emberscythe | None |
Mortal is worth about 60–65 more on both lists, with higher demand and half as many sellers. Embersickle's Cauldron use hasn't protected it, since the craft itself loses value. A straight Embersickle-for-Mortal swap is a win for the Embersickle owner, so expect the other side to ask for an add.
What is a fair Emberscythe trade?
A fair trade lands around 300 on MM2 Values or 375 on Supreme. Pick one list and use it for both sides, because the 75-point gap is bigger than many adds.
On MM2 Values (Emberscythe = 300):
| Offer | MM2 Values | Gap vs Emberscythe |
|---|---|---|
| 2x Sweet | 300 | Even |
| 10x Zombified | 300 | Even |
| Emberbow | 325 | +25, small overpay |
| Heart Wand | 350 | +50, overpay |
| Harvester | 250 | −50, needs an add |
| 2x Mortal | 280 | −20, needs a small add |
Watch out for the old asks. When people offer an Emberscythe on Trade Hub, they most often ask for Vampire's Axe, Gingerscope or Emberbow (3 times each). Vampire's Axe is now 1,375, about 4.6 Emberscythes, and Gingerscope is 15,250, about 51. Only the Emberbow swap is realistic.
Selling? Don't quote what you paid, and expect buyers to use the Underpaid For tag. Buying? There's no rush. The Cauldron stays open until November 16, and MM2 Values has cut this knife at least six times since October 22.

How many people are playing MM2 right now?
On November 2, 2026 at 13:26 UTC, the Roblox Games API showed 373,552 players in Murder Mystery 2. That's concurrent players, not traders, and the number swings a lot by time of day. Still, our read is that a busy event means more Ember items entering the game and more potential buyers if you're selling.
For the full event picture, see our MM2 Halloween 2026 event guide and the MM2 Halloween value list. For how the older Ancients compare, check the MM2 Ancient value list.
How do you avoid Emberscythe trading scams?
Fast-falling items are prime scam bait. Watch for:
- Launch-week prices. Anyone quoting 1,900 for an Emberscythe is asking for over 6x today's list. Check the list on the day you trade.
- The Chroma swap. Chroma and normal Emberscythe look similar in a small trade slot, and a Chroma is worth about 33x more. Check the rainbow glow before you accept, in either direction.
- "Put it in the Cauldron for me." Nobody can craft on your behalf. Sending your Emberbow or Embersickle to someone "to craft and return" gives you no guarantee you'll get anything back.
- Send-first deals. Use MM2's own trade window, where both sides lock in together. Never hand items over first.
FAQ
Is Emberscythe a Godly or an Ancient in MM2? Emberscythe is an Ancient knife. The Embersickle you use to craft it is a Godly, and the Emberbow is an Ancient gun.
How do you get Emberscythe in MM2? Trade for one, or put one Embersickle and one Emberbow into the Cauldron behind the event NPC in the Halloween 2026 lobby. At today's values, trading is cheaper.
Why is Emberscythe so cheap now? Neither list has given a reason. Its two ingredients fell hard, with Emberbow down from 1,700 to 325 and Embersickle from 250 to 80 on MM2 Values since October 22, and new copies can be crafted until November 16.
Can you still craft Emberscythe after the event? No. The Halloween Event 2026 ends on November 16, 2026 at 18:00 UTC. After that, trading is the only way to get an Emberscythe or a Chroma Emberscythe.
What are the odds of getting Chroma Emberscythe? They haven't been published. The MM2 Wiki only describes it as a "low chance" when crafting. On current values, crafting breaks even at about 1.1% on MM2 Values or 0.9% on Supreme.
How much is Chroma Emberscythe worth? About 10,000 on both lists as of November 2, 2026 (MM2 Values range 9,250–10,500, Supreme 9,500–10,500). It's marked Fluctuating and was 15,500 on MM2 Values on October 30.
Is Emberscythe worth more than Emberbow? No, not anymore. Emberbow is 325 on MM2 Values against 300 for Emberscythe, and they tie at 375 on Supreme. Both have demand 4.
