Quick answer (5 November 2026, Patch 2.2.16a, Season 42 "Starward Decade"): Every Mobile Legends account starts with a Credit Score of 100, and the maximum is 110. If it falls below 90, Ranked locks. Below 60, you're limited to VS A.I. and Custom games. You lose at least 5 points per AFK, feeding or negative-play violation, 1 point for missing a match confirmation, and 2 to 7 points when the system verifies reports against you. Below 100, you get it back at +1 per completed PvP match plus +1 for your first login of the day, up to a daily cap of 12 points. That cap drops to 6 or 3 if your Violation Rate over your last 100 Ranked games is high. Above 100, you only get +1 per 7 matches. VS A.I. never restores anything. You can check it under Profile → Battlefield → Credit Score.
Diamonds can't top up a Credit Score, and the topic is back on r/MobileLegendsGame this week. A thread today asked "What's the point of the report system?" after a match where a player fed and the review came back clean. One reply summed up the mood: "Review = violation not found. Report system is useless" (r/MobileLegendsGame, 5 November 2026). The other side of that complaint is a player who suddenly can't queue Ranked and doesn't know why. This guide covers both sides: how points come off, how they come back, why your score sometimes won't move, and what each tier unlocks in Season 42.
One caveat up front. Moonton doesn't publish these rules on its website. The tier perks below come straight from the in-game Credit Score screen. The deduction and restoration numbers come from the in-game rules text as copied by the Mobile Legends fan wiki, Codashop's blog and GamingOnPhone, and on the core numbers those three sources match each other. None of them is a Moonton document. Your own Credit Score screen (the "?" icon and the History tab) is always the final word.

How do you check your Credit Score in Mobile Legends?
Tap your avatar in the top-left of the lobby to open your Profile. Then open Battlefield in the left menu and tap Credit Score. The screen has two tabs:
- My Score shows your current number, the Daily Credit Score Restoration counter (for example "0/12", meaning how much you've earned back today out of your cap), and a History button.
- Score Perks shows what each tier unlocks. That's the table in the next section.
History is the most useful button here. It lists every change with the date, the amount and the reason, such as AFK, a verified report or a missed confirmation. If your score dropped and you don't know why, check History before you go to Reddit. The My Score page also shows a reminder in-game: "More Credit Score is deducted for reported violations."
What does each Credit Score tier unlock?
These are the five tiers on the in-game Score Perks tab. The BP figures are weekly Battle Point caps, so a low score doesn't just lock modes. It also slows down how fast you can buy heroes and emblems.
| Credit Score | Weekly BP cap | Modes and perks |
|---|---|---|
| 0-59 | 4,500 BP | VS A.I. and Custom only |
| 60-89 | 6,000 BP | Unlocks Classic, Brawl and Arcade. Ranked stays locked |
| 90-99 | 7,500 BP | Unlocks Ranked Mode and MLBB Rising Open |
| 100-109 | 8,000 BP | +5% BP from matches, +5% Star-raising Points on Ranked wins, +5% Protection Points on Ranked losses, plus a reward listed as "Available at 105 Credit Score" |
| 110 | 8,500 BP | +10% BP from matches, +15% Star-raising Points on wins, +15% Protection Points on losses, "Unlocks Silvanna 'Future Cop'" |
Most guides skip the last two tiers, but they matter if you're climbing. At 110 your Ranked wins fill the star-raising bar 15% faster and your losses fill the protection bar 15% faster. That's a real edge for anyone close to a rank-up. If you haven't seen how those bars work, our MLBB star protection guide explains them. Put simply, a clean 110 is the cheapest rank-up bonus in the game.
Silvanna "Future Cop" is the headline Credit Score reward. The 110 tier says it "Unlocks Silvanna 'Future Cop'", and the 100-109 tier lists a reward as "Available at 105 Credit Score". Tap the reward in-game to see its exact rules before you plan around it.
What lowers your Credit Score?
Here are the deductions from the in-game rules text, as quoted by the fan wiki, Codashop and GamingOnPhone:
| Violation | Minimum deduction |
|---|---|
| AFK, negative performance or intentional feeding (per instance) | -5 |
| Several serious violations in a short period | -8 to -10 |
| Not confirming when a match is found | -1 |
| Reported by one player, and the system confirms the violation | -2 to -3 |
| Reported by several players, and the system confirms the violation | -3 to -7 |
Three details catch players out:
- These are minimums. The rules say "at least", and the size of the hit grows with your Violation Rate. Two players who go AFK in the same way can lose different amounts.
- A report doesn't cost anything unless the system confirms it. That's why the thread above was angry. Many players say their reports come back "violation not found", and a teammate who's simply 0-8 hasn't necessarily broken a rule. Reports have the best chance when someone actually went AFK or fed on purpose. Toxic chat isn't on the deduction list itself. As far as the published rules show, it only costs points through a confirmed report.
- Disconnects are treated like AFK in practice. Players regularly report losing points after a connection drop, because the system has no way to tell a rage-quit from a phone that lost signal. If your connection is unstable, don't queue Ranked on it.
Some modes don't touch your score at all. GamingOnPhone lists Arena, Evolve, Magic Chess and Chess-TD as modes that "will not deduct or restore any Credit Scores". Magic Chess: Go Go has been a separate app since 2025, so it doesn't count either.
How do you increase your Credit Score?
The rules are short. You just need to finish matches without getting flagged:
- Below 100: +1 for each completed PvP match, win or lose, and +1 for your first login of the day.
- From 100 up: +1 for every 7 completed matches. Sources word the exactly-100 case differently ("higher than 100" vs "at or above 100"), so check your History if you're sitting at 100.
- VS A.I.: gives nothing, at any score.
- Daily cap: the most you can recover in one day is set by your Violation Rate (next section). The "Daily Credit Score Restoration" counter on the My Score tab shows how much of today's cap you've used.
So the quickest way back from 78 to 90 with a clean record is about 11 finished matches plus one login, all in one day. From 90 to 100 is another day like that. From 100 to 110 is slow. Ten more points at one per seven matches is about 70 matches. The daily cap isn't the problem there, the match count is, so expect several days of normal play unless you grind.
Why Brawl is the usual recovery mode
If you're between 60 and 89, Ranked is closed, so you're choosing between Classic, Brawl and Arcade. Most players choose Brawl. Matches are shorter, there's no draft to argue over, and with only one lane there's much less chance of getting flagged for negative play because you missed a rotation. The rule only counts completed matches, so more matches per hour means you reach the daily cap sooner. Take the higher-damage hero when you're offered a choice. It ends games faster.
Don't use VS A.I. to recover. It's a common mistake in Credit Score threads, and it earns nothing.
What is Violation Rate and why does it cap your recovery?
Violation Rate is the hidden number behind your daily cap. The game works it out from your last 100 Ranked matches, not Classic or Brawl. The more violations in that window, the lower your cap:
| Violation Rate (last 100 Ranked games) | Max Credit Score restored per day |
|---|---|
| 1% or lower | 12 |
| 3% or lower | 6 |
| Higher (exact boundary disputed) | 3 |
Codashop's guide puts it plainly: "When your Violation Rate is 1% or lower, you can get up to 12 points per day" (Codashop Blog). Sources word the bottom tier differently. Some say "higher than 4%" and some say "4% or lower", and none of them give a cap for a rate between 3% and 4%. Either way, a player with a bad recent record can get back only 3 points a day, a quarter of the normal rate. Climbing from 78 to 90 then takes four days instead of one.
A high Violation Rate also makes the next deduction bigger. That's why a run of bad games feels so much harsher than one bad game. Each new violation costs more, and recovery gets slower at the same time.

Why is my Credit Score not increasing?
This is the most common Credit Score question on the subreddit. In rough order of likelihood:
- You've hit today's cap. Check the Daily Credit Score Restoration counter. If it reads 12/12, or 6/6 or 3/3 on a lower cap, nothing more counts until the server's daily reset.
- You're above 100. At 101 and higher it takes seven matches for each point, so 20 games is only about +3. If you've played well past that and still see nothing, look at point 4. One player who dropped to 109 wrote that they'd played "20+ brawl matches over 2 days" without getting "ANY credit score back" (r/MobileLegendsGame, November 2025). Under the published rule, that should have been 2 or 3 points.
- You're playing a mode that doesn't count. VS A.I., Arena, Evolve and Magic Chess don't restore anything.
- The Ranked-only question. Since late 2025, a few r/MobileLegendsGame threads have reported that their score only went up after they played Ranked. These are individual reports, not confirmed rules. One player wrote: "They updated the game and made it so that only ranked games can raise your credit score" (r/MobileLegendsGame, December 2025). We haven't found Moonton patch notes that confirm this, and other players still report Brawl recovery working below 100. So the published rules may be out of date for some accounts. If you're above 90 and Brawl isn't moving your score, play a few Ranked games and check History. That's the quickest way to see which rule your account is actually following.
How do you protect your Credit Score?
Prevention is much faster than recovery. These habits cover almost every deduction:
- Always tap confirm. A missed match confirmation costs -1. It's the easiest point to lose and the easiest to avoid. Don't queue and then walk away.
- Surrender instead of leaving. A surrender vote that passes ends the match as a normal loss, and surrender isn't on the deduction list. Leaving the match is an AFK.
- Don't queue on a bad connection. A disconnect is usually penalised as AFK, so check your ping before Ranked and switch to stable Wi-Fi first.
- Mute instead of arguing. Muting a toxic teammate costs nothing. Arguing back gets you reported, and a confirmed report costs 2-7 points.
- Stay on your role in draft. Taking a hero far outside your lane is what gets you mass-reported for negative play. Even if most reviews come back clean, you don't want to give the system a reason.
How does Credit Score affect your ranked climb?
Credit Score is part of ranked progress, not only a behaviour system. Under 90 you can't queue at all, so you can't earn Mythic points or push stars. Around Mythic, a few days locked out at the wrong time can cost you a whole push window. At the other end, the +15% star-raising and protection bonuses at 110 make every Ranked game a bit more valuable. If you're aiming for Mythical Glory, keep your score at 110 and protect it. FAQ
What Credit Score do you need to play Ranked in Mobile Legends? At least 90. Ranked unlocks as soon as you reach 90 and locks again if you drop below it. Under 60, you can only play VS A.I. and Custom.
What is the maximum Credit Score in MLBB? 110. You start at 100. At 110 you get the highest weekly BP cap (8,500), +10% BP per match, +15% Star-raising and Protection Points in Ranked, and the Silvanna "Future Cop" reward.
How many Credit Score points can I recover per day? Up to 12 if your Violation Rate over your last 100 Ranked games is 1% or lower, 6 if it's 3% or lower, and 3 if it's higher. The counter on the My Score tab shows how much of today's cap you've used.
Does playing VS A.I. restore Credit Score? No. VS A.I. matches give no Credit Score at any level. Below 100, only completed PvP matches and your first login of the day count.
Does winning restore Credit Score faster? No. A win and a loss count the same. All that matters is finishing the match without a violation.
Does reporting someone lower their Credit Score? Only if the system confirms the violation. One confirmed report costs them 2-3 points, and several confirmed reports cost 3-7. Reports that come back "violation not found" cost nothing.
Updated 5 November 2026 for Patch 2.2.16a (Original Server) and Season 42 "Starward Decade". Tier perks were read from an in-game Score Perks screen captured in mid-2026, and we found no patch notes that changed them since. Moonton can change the deduction and restoration rules without patch notes, so check the "?" icon on your own Credit Score screen if a number here doesn't match.
