Hitting the wall at Level 65 in Palworld? The 1.0 update raised the cap to 80, and the climb from the mid-60s to cap is where most players stall — the XP bar barely moves and the old "just catch stuff" advice stops paying. This guide is the endgame XP farm: the exact loops that still hand out real experience once you're past the campaign, ranked by how fast they level you (not your Pals).
Quick answer: The fastest legit endgame XP farm in Palworld 1.0 is to stack parallel XP streams in the two new high-level regions. Chain-capture wild Lv.65+ Pals in Sunreach and the World Tree (the capture bonus completes in just 5 catches and XP is scaled to your level), clear their dungeons and enemy camps for triple XP (capture bonuses + boss XP + a standalone completion reward), keep a Relaxaurus Effigy EXP stack (+50%) active, and run a passive base crafting line that ticks XP to your whole party even while you're offline. Fighting wild Lv.80 Pals in the World Tree is the best repeatable raw-XP engine at cap. This all applies to Palworld 1.0.4 (build 1.102.642).
Want to skip the 15-level endgame grind and jump straight to cap? Our Palworld leveling service does it for you. If you'd rather grind it out, here's the fastest way.

What counts as "endgame" XP in Palworld?
Endgame in Palworld 1.0 starts around Level 65 — the old early-access cap — and runs to the new ceiling of 80. The official 1.0 patch notes put it plainly:
"The player level cap has been raised from 65 to 80."
That's a genuine, fresh 15-level grind bolted on top of a full campaign, and it lives almost entirely in the two regions 1.0 added: Sunreach, the sky-island region floating above Palpagos, and The World Tree, the Lv.75+ endgame region and story climax. If a leveling guide tells you the cap is 65 (or 50/55/60), it was written for the early-access game — ignore its endgame advice.
The core mechanic that makes an endgame farm work: XP from capture bonuses is scaled to your player level, not the Pal's. A dense spawn of the right Pals pays out huge chunks of your bar even in the 70s, which is why location matters more than any single trick below.
The fastest endgame XP farms, ranked
Don't grind one thing. The whole point of an efficient endgame farm is stacking streams that pay at the same time — capture bonus + completion reward + passive base XP all ticking together. Here's every endgame stream, ranked by throughput.
1. Capture-chain wild Lv.65+ Pals (best active XP)
This is the backbone. In 1.0, the capture bonus completes at just 5 catches of a species — down from 12 in early access ("Reduced the number of captures required to complete a Capture Bonus from 12 to 5"). Because the bonus XP scales to your level, sweeping a dense, high-level spawn for new species is the single cheapest XP in the game at endgame.
The best hunting grounds are the two new regions, packed with the 72 Pals 1.0 added:
- Sunreach (~Lv.65+) — around 20 new Pals in a compact sky region. Easy to fly a lap and rack up first-catch bonuses.
- The World Tree (Lv.75+) — the densest high-level spawns in the game, including wild Lv.80 Pals.
Prioritize species you haven't caught yet (the 5-catch bonus), then keep culling the rest for the flat per-kill/per-catch XP.
2. Dungeons + enemy camps (triple-dip XP)
1.0 gave dungeons and enemy camps a standalone completion reward, so one clear now pays three times: the capture bonuses you complete inside, the boss XP, and the completion XP on top. In the World Tree and Sunreach these are the highest-density XP-per-minute clears in the game — you're capturing new species and banking a completion reward in the same run. Capture the dungeon boss instead of killing it: capturing pays more and feeds condensing later.
3. Passive base crafting (free XP, even offline)
Crafting at your base pays XP to you and your whole party — and it keeps ticking while you're logged out. The community staple is a Pal parked on a continuous arrow-crafting line (wood + stone), because arrows are cheap to feed and craft endlessly. Set this up before you log off and you'll gain levels doing nothing. It's slow per-tick but it costs you zero active time, so it stacks under everything else on this list.
4. Wild Lv.80 Pals in the World Tree (best raw-XP engine at cap)
Once you're at or near 80 and have run out of new species to catch, the most reliable repeatable raw-XP loop is farming wild Lv.80 Pals in the World Tree. High-level kills pay the most flat XP in the game, the spawns are dense, and you're farming the same area you need for Radiant Gems and Awakening anyway. Bring a squad from our best combat Pals tier list so the Lv.80 spawns die fast. It's the endgame's "just keep grinding" engine — no setup, always available.
5. Tower bosses + Alpha Pals (first-clear spikes)
Tower bosses pay a big XP spike on your first clear, plus Ancient Technology Points. There are now 9 tower bosses (up from 7), ending with Zenara & Astralym at Level 80 in the World Tree Sealed Sanctum (see our full Palworld tower bosses guide for each fight). If you still have towers left — especially the two new ones, Auri & Shaolong (Lv.68, Sunreach) and the Lv.80 finale — clearing them is a fast one-time jump. Alpha Pals (oversized field bosses at fixed spots) are repeatable and, in the World Tree, double as the best Radiant Gem farm. Capture them rather than kill them.
6. Missions and sub-missions (don't skip the quest log)
1.0 reworked missions with materially better XP — the reward pass was large enough that existing saves had mission progress reset. Check the quest log at every settlement you pass in the new regions; a stack of turned-in sub-missions is a quiet but real chunk of endgame XP that most grinders forget.
Stack these multipliers on top
The farms above pay more when you layer permanent EXP boosts under them.
- Relaxaurus Effigy — +50% player EXP. There are 4 Relaxaurus Effigies, each worth +12.5% EXP (+50% total), turned in at a Statue of Power. This is the biggest permanent EXP multiplier you can control, and it applies to every XP source above. (Don't confuse it with the Lifmunk Effigy, which raises Capture Power, not EXP.)
- EXP Rate world setting — up to 20×. The honest caveat: the EXP Rate slider goes up to 20× and can be changed at any time during play, from the title-screen "Change World Settings." If you just want the number to go up, that's the fastest button in the game. Everything in this guide is the no-slider route for players who want to keep the default balance and still farm efficiently.
Hint: Turn in your 4 Relaxaurus Effigies before you start an endgame grind session. A permanent +50% on top of a dense World Tree capture loop is the difference between a slog and a level every few minutes.

A clean endgame farm loop (Lv.65 → 80)
Put it together and the efficient endgame session looks like this:
- Before you leave base: confirm your 4 Relaxaurus Effigies are turned in (+50% EXP), and set a Pal on an arrow-crafting line so passive party XP ticks while you're out.
- Fly to Sunreach first (Lv.65+). Lap the sky islands, first-catching every new species for the 5-catch bonus, and clear any dungeon/camp you pass for the triple XP.
- Move to the World Tree (Lv.75+) as your level allows. Same loop — new-species captures, dungeon clears, and capture Alpha Pals for XP and Radiant Gems.
- At cap or near it, farm wild Lv.80 Pals in the World Tree as your steady raw-XP engine, and mop up any remaining tower bosses for their first-clear spikes.
- Check the quest log at every settlement you pass — reworked 1.0 missions pay real XP.
Because captures, completion rewards, and passive base XP all pay into the same bar, you're never grinding a single source — that parallel stacking is the whole trick.
What NOT to waste time on at endgame
- Grinding one low-level zone. Below ~Lv.60 areas, the per-catch XP no longer moves your bar meaningfully — you want the high-density Lv.65+ regions.
- Killing dungeon and Alpha bosses. Capturing pays more XP and feeds condensing. Kill only if you specifically need a drop.
- Chasing the "record" myth. Palworld 1.0 peaked near 956,000 concurrent players — huge, but not an all-time record (the 2024 early-access peak was ~2.1 million). It doesn't change your XP math; ignore the noise and grind the regions.
FAQ
What's the fastest way to get XP at endgame in Palworld? Stack parallel streams in the new high-level regions: chain-capture wild Lv.65+ Pals in Sunreach and the World Tree (the capture bonus completes in 5 catches and XP scales to your level), clear dungeons and camps for triple XP, keep a passive base crafting line running, and layer a +50% Relaxaurus Effigy EXP stack over all of it. At cap, farming wild Lv.80 World Tree Pals is the best repeatable raw-XP engine.
What level should I be for the World Tree? The World Tree is Lv.75+ endgame content, and it also has radiation zones that require a Gas Mask. You can reach it earlier, but the wild Pals there are Lv.80 and will punish an under-levelled party. Sunreach (~Lv.65+) is the better first stop after the mid-game.
Can I just turn up the XP slider instead of farming? Yes — the EXP Rate world setting goes up to 20× and can be changed at any point from the title-screen "Change World Settings." This guide is the no-slider route for players who want to keep the default balance. If you only care about hitting cap, the slider is the fastest option in the game.
Do captured Pals give more XP than killing them? Capturing pays more player XP than killing, and it feeds your capture bonus (5 catches per species) plus condensing later. At endgame, capture wild Pals, dungeon bosses, and Alpha Pals rather than killing them unless you specifically need a kill-only drop.
Is there anything to do after I hit Level 80? Plenty — endgame players farm legendary weapon and armor schematics from the Hard Mode tower bosses, build out a raid team, and grind the reworked wave-based raids. Awakening (Radiant Gems from World Tree Alpha Pals) and maxing your Pals' stats via condensing keep the World Tree relevant well past cap.
How much does the Relaxaurus Effigy EXP boost help? There are 4 Relaxaurus Effigies, each worth +12.5% player EXP, for +50% total when all four are turned in at a Statue of Power. It's the largest permanent EXP multiplier you control and it applies to every XP source, so turn them in before any serious grind session.
