El Maja is the top pet of the Abyss Ocean, the seventh of the original biomes in the corridor. It sits in index slot 8 of 8 for that biome, after the Kraken. Its look is hard to miss: a blocky blue shark head with a row of glowing cyan eyes and a mouth full of teeth.

One small wiki conflict to know about: the El Maja page lists the Index reward as +180K Speed, while the Abyss Ocean biome page prints +18K. The community wiki at stealanegg-wiki.com also lists +180,000, so we go with 180K. The $13B cash part matches on every source.

Steal An Egg has no trading currency, no trade window and no developer value list. The figure every site uses is money per second, and the community wiki says it plainly: "This is an income rate, not a verified trading price."
So the honest answer to "what is El Maja worth" is $130M/s base. Here is what that adds up to:

- Per 24 hours at that rate: about $11.2 trillion (a straight multiplication, not a test of offline earnings)

How much does a mutated El Maja make?
A mutation multiplies base income, and the multipliers stack with weight. The problem is that the developers have never published the exact numbers, and the community tables disagree. Our Steal An Egg mutations guide previously reported lower community figures. The Eggipedia El Maja calculator (data as of October 14, 2026) uses higher ones. We show both so you can see the range:

Two practical points:
- Only the ends of the list agree. Silver is the weakest on both tables, and Rainbow sits at or near the top. The middle order changes depending on the source, so do not rely on it. A Rainbow El Maja earns more than a plain Mosasaurus ($180M/s) on either table.
- Trust the card on your own pet. Weight changes income too, and a heavy El Maja beats a light one with the same mutation. The money/s shown in-game is the real number.
Mutated eggs usually show a coloured shell before you pick them up (see the mutations guide above). If you see a golden or rainbow shimmer on an El Maja Egg, that egg is worth the risk.
How do you get El Maja in Steal An Egg?
There is no shop listing, code or quest for El Maja. You get it the normal Steal An Egg way: steal its egg from the Abyss Ocean nests, carry it home and let it hatch.
Step 1: Reach about 2.5M Speed
The Abyss Ocean is gated by Speed. The biome board recommends 2.5M Speed, and that is the floor to outrun its guardian, the big white whale above. Step 2: Camp the Abyss Ocean nests every night
Eggs refresh each in-game night, roughly every 4.5 minutes. The Abyss Ocean pool has 8 pets, and El Maja is by far the rarest:

A pool share of 0.08889% works out to about 1 egg in 1,125. Eggipedia's caveat is fair: this is the weight in the pool before event rolls and bonuses, not a promise per night. Still, it tells you El Maja is about 9 times rarer than the Kraken and rarer than the Mosasaurus (0.31%) in the next biome, even though the Mosasaurus earns more. That mismatch matters if you are deciding where to farm.
Step 3: Use spawn alerts instead of blind farming
At 1 in 1,125, blind farming can take hours. Community Discord servers and fan sites post rare-egg alerts, and some players report getting them as push notifications from the game's Discord. Join a server when an El Maja Egg is announced and you skip most of the wait. Expect competition: everyone on that server sees the same egg.
Step 4: Get it home and protect it during the hatch
The El Maja Egg takes 5h 30m to hatch. That is a long window for other players to steal it back from your base. Stay nearby while it hatches and do not leave a mutated El Maja Egg sitting unguarded overnight.

The game data does not mark El Maja as unfusable, so it should work in the standard Fuse Machine, which combines three pets of the same species. Getting three El Majas is a big ask at 1 in 1,125 each. Always check eligibility and cost in-game first.

- El Maja vs Mosasaurus: the Mosasaurus earns 38% more, and its egg is 3.5 times more common in its own pool. If you can already raid Prehistoric, farm there first.
- El Maja vs Eternal Lunar Dragon: the Lunar Dragon nearly doubles El Maja at $250M/s, but you need Cosmic-level Speed to reach it.
What changes El Maja's value next?
Value in Steal An Egg moves when new biomes raise the ceiling. The Alien biome opens on Saturday, November 7, 2026 at 16:00 UTC (official Roblox event listing), right after the UFO Invasion event.
