Three things jump out. First, PvE Prestige 1 is a speed bump, not a wall: level 15 and ₽5M. Second, the jump from Prestige 1 to 2 is where the system bites: the skill gate and the story requirement both appear at once. Third, Prestige 5 is the real endgame tier: it stacks Collector, the full They Are Already Here chapter and 20/20/20 skills on top of a ₽20M bankroll.

What does New Beginning (Prestige 2) ask for?

Each tier from 2 up is unlocked by its own New Beginning quest from Ragman. For Prestige 2 the wiki lists: be level 30 (20 in PvE) with Prestige 1, then:

Story chapters are the requirement people forget until the Prestige screen shows a red cross. Tour is needed from Prestige 2 onward (full Tour walkthrough). Prestige 3 adds Falling Skies. Prestige 4 and 5 require you to obtain the Ticket from Tarkov (Kruglov's RFID keycard), and Prestige 6 requires you to complete The Ticket chapter itself (The Ticket guide). What do you keep when you prestige in Tarkov?

You keep, permanently:

• Achievements, statistics and every Prestige level you have reached.
• Arena ARP rating and Armory progress.
• A percentage of your character skills and weapon mastery (table below).
• The items you place on the transfer grid.
• Every Prestige reward: dogtags, armbands, posters, Hideout styles, gestures, melee weapons and the rest.

You lose: your PMC level, stash, roubles, trader loyalty, quest progress and Hideout. All of it resets to a fresh character.

How big is the transfer grid and how much skill carries over?

Every tier also grants +1 Charisma level, which matters because Charisma is one of the gates. PvE carry-over is double PvP's at Prestige 1 through 5, so a PvE player who ground Endurance to Elite before Prestige 1 keeps a much bigger head start toward the next 10/10/7 check.

What should you put on the grid? Spend it on things that are slow to rebuild at trader level 1: a finished weapon build, armor you would otherwise have to wait for, meds and the found-in-raid quest items you will need right after the reset. Don't waste cells on cheap loot you can rebuy on day one. The grid shows each item's eligibility before you confirm. Once you confirm the transfer, the reset is final and there is no undo. How do you level Endurance fast for Prestige?

Endurance is the gate the community is complaining about this week: a r/EscapefromTarkov thread asking for the fastest way to level Endurance for Prestige 2 drew more than 200 replies within a day. The rule from the wiki: Endurance only trains while you walk or sprint under the overweight threshold, and Strength only trains while you are overweight. If you loot your way into the yellow weight icon, every sprint after that feeds Strength instead of Endurance.

The system behind the slow bar is per-raid skill fatigue. Per the wiki, each skill levels at 129% speed before your first point in a raid and 100% after it, then drops hard once you've earned about five points in that raid: 45% after ~5, 20% after ~6, 9% after ~7 and 4% after ~8. The modifier resets after 200 seconds without gaining that skill, but only back to 100%, never 129%. Battlestate's 1.3.0.0 notes say it "balanced the effect of diminishing returns on skill progression", so treat the exact percentages as approximate on the current build. • Do one long, uninterrupted sprint at the start of every raid while you are still light. That is the only stretch where you get full, undecayed Endurance XP. Sprint until stamina is empty.
• Stop before the steep drop, then let the timer reset. Once you've banked a few points, stop training that skill for the 200-second reset window. Players who ground both skills for Prestige 2 describe alternating: a couple of full stamina bars overweight for Strength, drop weight, a couple of bars underweight for Endurance, then wait out the timer without moving. One player reported about a third of a level per raid at low levels this way.
• Run more, shorter raids instead of one marathon raid. Fatigue is per raid, so extracting resets it.
• Use the Gym every day. The Hideout Gym trains Strength and Endurance through up to 15 quick-time events per session (you need 60 Energy and 60 Hydration). After the first session you get Mild Muscle Pain for 24 hours, so the second session gives 50% gains. After the second session you get Severe Muscle Pain, and a third gives 0. Two sessions a day is the sweet spot. A failed rep has a 10% chance of a fracture.
• No Gym yet? Use a friend's. Several commenters pointed out you can open a friend's profile from your friends list, enter their Hideout and train in their Gym. Building your own needs Defective Wall 6, Illumination 2 and Vents 2 plus tools, so this trick saves a lot of time right after a reset. Getting Defective Wall to 6 also matters on its own: levels 2-5 each apply a 3% Physical leveling penalty (12% total).
• Build the Air Filtering Unit. It gives +40% to all Physical skills, Strength and Endurance included, but only while an FP-100 filter absorber is inserted. It needs Generator 3, Vents 3, $25,000 and filter parts, so it's a mid-game build, but it's the biggest Physical multiplier you have.

How do you level Charisma fast for Prestige?

Charisma is the gate nobody plans for, and the 12 and 20 requirements at Prestige 4 and 5 are steep. The wiki lists every source:

• 20% of the XP you earn in Attention and Perception, and 10% of Intellect XP, flows into Charisma. Looting and examining items levels it passively.
• Scav Case: 0.4 points every time you send Scavs out.
• Insurance: 0.4 points per ₽200,000 spent.
• Trader repairs on weapons or armor: 0.4 points per ₽10,000 spent.
• Quests: Special Order, Antique Enthusiast, Regulated Materials, plus Skier's A Life Lesson (BEAR only) or Never Too Late To Learn (USEC only). Those last two also give +1 Strength and +1 Endurance, so do them on every run.
• +1 Charisma per Prestige tier, as a reward.

The efficient loop is boring but it works: run the Scav Case on every cooldown, repair through traders instead of with kits, and insure your kit (seasonal characters can't insure, so this one only works on PvP and PvE Zone profiles).

Is Prestige worth it in Tarkov?

Prestige if you've finished what you wanted from this run (Collector, your main story chapters) and you want the permanent perks. Prestige 2 adds +1 daily and +1 weekly operational task, Prestige 6 grants a unique Gamma secure container, and every tier stacks Charisma and carry-over. PvE Prestige 1 costs so little (level 15, ₽5M) that it's worth doing early just to bank the 10% carry-over and 50 TarCoins.

Hold off if you're mid-way through Collector or a story chapter you need for the next tier anyway. Prestige wipes quest progress, so a half-done Collector is a full Collector again. Also hold off if you can't cover the rouble requirement without draining your raid budget.

The play most veterans run: meet the next tier's skill gate before you reset, because every point you carry over at 20-50% is a point you don't grind again.
