Brawl Stars Mega Showdown (Nov 2026): 20-Player Rules, Maps & Best Brawlers

Sam Okonkwo

Brawl Stars Mega Solo Showdown on Roundabout Rumble and Mega Duo Showdown on Patchwork Peril event cards, each marked 20 players, under the banner The Biggest Brawl Ever

Last checked: November 5, 2026. Rules come from Supercell's official Release Notes November 2026 and the in-game event text. Win rates come from Brawl Time Ninja's Mega Showdown and Mega Duo Showdown trackers, which log battles from the public Brawl Stars API. Their numbers update hourly; ours are a snapshot from the evening of November 5 (UTC).

Mega Showdown doubles Showdown to 20 players on one island instead of the usual 10, and the in-game event banner bills it as "The Biggest Brawl Ever!" Supercell's patch notes describe it in one line: "20 players battle it out in Showdown. Be the last Brawler standing to win!" It arrived with the Season 56 Brawl Vice update and appeared in the event rotation on November 5, in both a Solo and a Duo version. The bigger map changes how you should play, and early data already shows which Brawlers handle it best.

Quick answer (TLDR): Mega Showdown is a 20-player Showdown event added with the November 2026 update (Season 56). Solo is a free-for-all for 20 players. Mega Duo Showdown is 10 teams of 2, and a defeated partner respawns after 15 seconds if their teammate is still alive. There are 3 maps: Patchwork Peril, Quadrant Clash and Roundabout Rumble. Bosses and robots drop Power Cubes, and a mini-map shows where you are. In Brawl Time Ninja's Solo rankings (based on 62,000 battles), the strongest picks are Wendy (+6.1%), Bolt (+4.7%), Doug (+4.5%) and Damian (+4.3%). In Duo, Wendy, Starr Nova and Bolt lead.

What is Mega Showdown in Brawl Stars?

Mega Showdown is a battle royale event built on regular Showdown, scaled up for 20 players. The in-game description reads: "Explore a huge island with boss and robo zones. Defeat enemies for Power Cubes, and watch for timed Power Cube drops! Stay ahead of the poison clouds. The last Brawler standing wins!"

Four things set it apart from normal Showdown:

FeatureRegular ShowdownMega Showdown
Players10 (Solo) or 5 teams of 2 (Duo)20 (Solo) or 10 teams of 2 (Duo)
Map sizeStandard arenaMuch bigger island with distinct areas
Power Cube sourcesBoxes and defeated BrawlersDefeated Brawlers, bosses, robots and timed drops
NavigationNo mini-mapMini-map in the top-left corner

The Duo rules work like regular Duo Showdown. The Brawl Stars Wiki notes that Power Cubes are shared between both teammates while both are alive. If one of you goes down, you come back after 15 seconds with no Power Cubes and a 3-second immunity shield. Lose both of you at once and your team is out.

Supercell hasn't said whether Mega Showdown is permanent. The wiki lists it as a temporary event added on November 5, so play it while it's in the rotation.

How does Mega Showdown play differently from normal Showdown?

Mega Showdown gameplay showing the mini-map in the top-left corner, three Brawlers left and a Mr. P holding 28 Power Cubes

Screenshot shared in this r/Brawlstars post by u/ANEK1993 on November 5: three Brawlers left and a Mr. P carrying 28 Power Cubes.

Power Cubes snowball much further. In normal Showdown, each Power Cube adds 400 health and 10% damage for the rest of the match. With bosses, robots and timed drops added on top of 19 opponents, there are many more cubes to take. The screenshot above shows a Mr. P with 28 Power Cubes and 18,870 health by the final three. A player who farms the robot zones early and survives can reach the final circle much stronger than the rest.

Third parties are everywhere. With 20 players, someone is almost always nearby when you start a fight. One r/Brawlstars player summed up the frustration on launch day: "everytime you play your just taking a gamble that someone won't come out of nowhere and kill you" (u/JaydenJunior on r/Brawlstars). That's the main skill test of the mode. Pick your fights, and don't stay in a long duel in the open.

The mini-map matters. On a bigger island you can't see the poison or the other players from where you stand. Check the mini-map every few seconds so you aren't caught on the wrong side of the gas.

Which maps are in Mega Showdown?

There are three Mega Showdown maps this season, all in the Storm Valley environment:

MapModeHighest win rate advantage (Solo)
Patchwork PerilMega Solo Showdown and Mega Duo ShowdownWendy (+5.9%)
Roundabout RumbleMega Solo ShowdownWendy (+6.0%)
Quadrant ClashMega Solo ShowdownWendy (+5.7%)

Patchwork Peril is the only map used for Mega Duo Showdown so far. On launch day the event cards ran Mega Solo Showdown on Roundabout Rumble and Mega Duo Showdown on Patchwork Peril side by side.

What are the best Brawlers for Mega Showdown?

Brawl Time Ninja's Solo rankings are based on 62,000 battles across all Trophy ranges, all played since the mode launched. Its raw win-rate dashboard uses a larger, still-growing sample (about 89,500 battles when we checked) and labels its own accuracy "poor", so treat close gaps as a tie. The "win rate advantage" figure compares a Brawler's results to what the same players get with other Brawlers. That makes it a better guide than raw win rate.

RankBrawlerWin rate advantageWhy they work
1Wendy+6.1%Shields herself with every attack; her Super absorbs 60% of incoming damage
2Bolt+4.7%Fast Tank that picks his fights and escapes third parties
3Doug+4.5%His Super brings the buffed Brawler back with 100% health
4Damian+4.3%Tank with a 5-second Mosh Pit Super that wins close fights

Raw win rates on the dashboard, a separate measure, tell a similar story. Damian leads at 62.5%, followed by Doug (61.3%), Wendy (60.6%), Shelly and Alli (60.5% each) and Mico (60.2%).

Wendy has the highest listed advantage on every Mega Showdown map, even though the November update made her attack projectile 20% smaller. Firing her attack gives her a shield, and hitting a teammate shields them too. Her Super, a shield generator, absorbs 60% of the damage taken by Wendy and her allies inside it. That combination keeps her alive through the random third-party fights that decide most Mega Showdown games.

Doug is the best pick if you are still learning the mode. He tops the "easiest" list at +5.9%. His Super gives a hot dog to himself or an ally, and a buffed Brawler who is defeated comes back with 100% health after a short delay. In a 20-player match that second life is worth more than in any other mode.

Edgar (+4.9% easiest) and Damian (+4.8% easiest) also do well without much practice. Both are good at jumping onto a weakened player after someone else has done the damage.

Brawl Time Ninja's summary of the mode is useful: "Your pick matters less in Mega Showdown than in most modes." A Brawler from the top quarter gives you just +2.9%, so a Brawler you play well beats a meta pick you don't know. For the regular 10-player modes, see our best Brawlers for Showdown guide.

What are the best Brawlers for Mega Duo Showdown?

Brawl Time Ninja's Duo rankings are based on 26,000 battles, all on Patchwork Peril, so expect them to move as more games come in.

RankBrawlerWin rate advantage
1Wendy+6.0%
2Starr Nova+5.6%
3Bolt+5.4%
4Nori+4.1%

For less experienced players, Wendy, Gale and Gus are the easiest picks. All three protect or support a partner. On raw win rate, Janet (59.4%), Lily (58.7%) and R-T (58.2%) lead, but each is picked in less than 1.1% of games, so those numbers are less reliable.

Wendy is even better in Duo because her shots can shield a teammate as well as herself. Pair her with a damage dealer who can farm robots while she keeps both of you alive. Remember the respawn rule: a partner who dies comes back with no Power Cubes. Don't take risky fights to save a teammate if it costs you your own cubes.

Which builds and Gears win the most in Mega Showdown?

Vince dominates the build charts. On every Mega Showdown map, his Star Power and Gadget have the most recorded wins. On Patchwork Peril:

SlotPickWins recordedWin rate with it
GadgetMetamothosis (Vince)99073.0%
Star PowerBug Bandage (Vince)87072.0%
Star PowerCome to Papa (Vince)53071.4%
GearShield2,20060.2%
GearDamage1,20061.2%

The reason is Vince's trait. Caterpillars keep spawning near him, and every one he collects turns into a moth that powers up his Super. Long matches on a big map give him far more time to build a collection than a normal 2 to 3 minute game does. Bug Bandage heals him for 1,200 per caterpillar, so he can heal between fights without help. Be careful, though: Vince loses 50% of his moths when he is defeated.

For Gears, Shield has the most recorded wins on all three maps. Damage has a slightly higher win rate on Patchwork Peril and Quadrant Clash, but not on Roundabout Rumble, so either is a safe choice. Check our Brawl Stars tier list for where these Brawlers rank in other modes.

How do you win more Mega Showdown games?

  • Farm a robot zone when it's quiet. Bosses and robots give Power Cubes without a player fight, but other players head there too. If a zone is empty, build a lead before the map closes in; if it's crowded, move on.
  • Stay near the edges early. With 19 other players, the center is where fights pile up. Move inward only as the poison pushes you.
  • Wait for the second fight. When two players fight, let them trade damage and then go for the winner if you can reach them safely.
  • Use the mini-map every few seconds. Check where the poison is coming from and plan your route before you need it.
  • In Duo, protect your cubes. A respawned partner starts from zero, so the alive player keeping their cubes is worth more than a risky rescue.
  • Play a Brawler you know. Brawl Time Ninja's data says a top-quarter pick adds only about 3%, so comfort matters more than the meta here.
