Once Human Nailoong Event: How to Transform, Egg Rewards and Checks (Nov 5-25)

Quick answer: The Once Human x Nailoong crossover event runs from November 5 to November 25, 2026 (server time). It arrived with Version 3.1.2 after the November 4, 3:00 PM PT maintenance, on PS5, Xbox, PC and mobile. To turn into Nailoong, shout "NAILOONG" in the World channel to get a Transformation Cookie: Nailoong, then eat it. Everyone also got 5 free Transformation Cookies in the maintenance rewards. The free side of the event is the Nailoong Egg (hatch it to 100% for the "Carpenter Nailoong" Logging Beaver Deviation skin), the Nailoong Check-In (the Nailoong Disco Light) and 2,000 Crystgin of Nailoong Checks for signing in. The checks only cover 20% of any shop order and expire after four weeks. This guide was checked against the official 3.1.2 patch notes on November 5, 2026.

Key takeaways

  • Dates: November 5 to November 25, 2026, server time. The transformation item, Disco Light and photo frame stop working when the event ends.
  • Transform: shout "NAILOONG" in the World channel for a cookie, or use the 5 cookies from the maintenance mail.
  • Best free reward: the Carpenter Nailoong Deviation skin at 100% egg progress. Egg progress is shared across every character on your account.
  • Nailoong Checks: 2,000 Crystgin worth, but capped at 20% of each order. You would need to spend 10,000 Crystgin of orders to use all of them.
  • Paid side: the Party Boing Lightforge crate, the Awoo's Adventure combo crate and the Fizzy Soda weapon skins. All are optional.

When does the Once Human Nailoong event start and end?

The event period in the official patch notes is "November 5 – November 25 (server time)". The update itself went live after maintenance that started on November 4, 2026, at 3:00 PM PT and was announced at "about 2 hours" (official Version 3.1.2 Update Announcement, also on Steam). In Europe and Asia that maintenance was already November 5, so for most players the event and the patch landed on the same calendar day.

"Server time" matters here. Once Human runs separate regions (NA, EU, SEA, SA, JP-KR, HK-MO-TW), and each one ticks over on its own clock. If you play on an EU server from the US, the event ends on the EU server's November 25, not yours.

The patch notes add one warning in bold: "After the event ends, the Nailoong Transformation Item, Nailoong Disco Light, and Nailoong Photo Frame will no longer be usable." Don't stockpile cookies for December.

How do you transform into Nailoong in Once Human?

The official instruction is short:

"During the event, shout "NAILOONG" in the World to receive a "Transformation Cookie: Nailoong". Eat the cookie, and Boing! You'll transform into the adorable Nailoong!"

Step by step:

  • Open chat and switch to the World channel.
  • Send NAILOONG. The patch notes spell it with a double O, so type it exactly that way. A community clip on r/OnceHumanOfficial quotes a longer "I'm Nailoong!" line, but the patch notes only ask for "NAILOONG".
  • Check your backpack for the Transformation Cookie: Nailoong.
  • Use the cookie from your backpack to eat it and transform.

You may not need to shout at all. The 3.1.2 maintenance rewards sent every player Starchrom x1,000, Mitsuko's Mark x100, Stardust Secret Crate S15 (Epic) x1, Colorful Badge x30 and Transformation Cookie: Nailoong x5. Claim them from your mailbox first.

On PS5 and Xbox, typing in World chat needs the on-screen keyboard unless you have a USB or Bluetooth keyboard plugged in. Once Human supports keyboard and mouse on console, which makes the shout much faster. Our mouse and keyboard on PS5 and Xbox guide covers setup.

What can you do as Nailoong?

  • Tummy Battle. Transformed players get an exclusive skill, "Tummy Battle", which works in the wilderness. The studio's own description: "Don't let Nailoong's soft, squishy tummy fool you—it's a force to be reckoned with when it charges!" It is a fun emote-style skill. The patch notes do not list any combat damage for it, so don't take a transformed character into a fight you care about.
  • Nailoong Party. Place a Nailoong Disco Light in the wilderness and nearby players can dance with you to the beat. The light comes from the Nailoong Check-In, not the shop.
  • Nailoong Photo Frame. An event-only frame for the photo mode. Use it before November 25.

How does the Nailoong Egg event work?

The Nailoong Egg is the main free reward track. Every player gets one egg. You earn Hatch Attempts from daily activity tasks and friend-invite tasks. Each hatch click adds progress made of a base value and a random multiplier, with a chance of a high-multiplier Crit Hit that adds a lot of progress at once.

The four reward stages, from the official 3.1.2 notes:

Egg stageProgressReward
Cracked State30%Nailoong Crossover Avatar - Storybook Dreams x1
Split State60%Nailoong Crossover Namecard - Storybook Dreams x1
Fractured State85%Nailoong Crossover Namecard Theme - Storybook Dreams x1
Hatched State100%"Carpenter Nailoong", a Logging Beaver Deviation skin

Three things worth knowing before you start clicking:

  • Progress is account-wide. The notes say "Egg progress and hatching status are shared across all characters on the same account." You can't hatch a second egg on an alt. The notes don't say whether daily tasks on each character earn separate attempts, so don't plan around that.
  • Friends speed it up. Friend-invite tasks are one of the two attempt sources. One of the first Nailoong threads on r/OnceHumanOfficial was already a "join me" invitation-code post. Playing with friends in Once Human has its own rules. Our how to play with friends guide explains servers, regions and invite codes.
  • The number of attempts needed is not published. The random multiplier means two players with the same number of attempts can sit at different percentages. Do your daily tasks every day and don't leave it to the last weekend.

The Logging Beaver is a territory Deviation, so Carpenter Nailoong is a skin for a base worker, not a combat pet.

What is the Nailoong Wheel?

Official Once Human Nailoong Wheel event art showing Nailoong next to an arcade machine

The Nailoong Wheel is a lucky-draw event. Per the official rules, you spend 1 Nailoong Draw Ticket per spin. Each round has 15 draws, and every round contains 1 Super Grand Prize, the Cradle Charm - Shark Swim Ring. The rest of the pool includes limited Nailoong Crossover Stickers, Stardust Secret Crate S15 (Legendary and Epic), Lightforge Ingots, Prismatic Laser Dye and Deep Galaxy Dye.

A full round is 15 draws, and every round includes the Super Grand Prize. So 15 Nailoong Draw Tickets complete one round, and completing the round gets you that round's Shark Swim Ring. If you only want the charm, save your tickets until you have 15.

Where do Nailoong Draw Tickets come from? The 3.1.2 notes confirm one source: the sign-in event that gives out Nailoong Checks also gives a Nailoong Draw Ticket. The same notes also say a Nailoong Draw Ticket "can be used in place of one draw" on the Party Boing Lightforge crate. The full ticket list was not in the patch notes on November 5, so check the event page in game before you spend one.

Are the Nailoong Checks worth 2,000 Crystgin?

This is the part most players will misread. The official text:

"Sign in during the event to claim benefits, including Nailoong Checks worth 2000 Crystgin and a Nailoong Draw Ticket."

The catch is in the next line of the official notes. Nailoong Checks pay for Crystgin purchases 1:1, but "Each order can be paid for using Nailoong Checks to cover up to 20% of its Crystgin cost." They are also valid for four weeks only.

So the checks are a 20% discount coupon, not 2,000 free Crystgin. The maths:

Order priceMax checks usedCrystgin you still pay
60 Crystgin ("Guess Who I Am?" headgear)1248
160 Crystgin (1 Lightforge Ingot)32128
980 Crystgin (Fizzy Soda weapon skin bundle)196784
10,000 Crystgin of orders in total2,0008,000

To use every check, you need 10,000 Crystgin of order value inside four weeks: 8,000 Crystgin from your balance plus the 2,000 in checks. If you weren't going to buy anything, the checks are worth nothing to you, and that is fine. If you were already going to buy a Crystgin item this month, buy it before the checks expire and save up to 20%. The notes don't list which items are excluded, so check the payment screen before you buy.

What else is in the Nailoong shop?

Everything below is optional and costs Crystgin. Our Party Boing loot crate guide covers the crate's cost, pity and past drop rates in detail.

  • Lightforge Loot Crate: Party Boing! The headline crate. Ultra vehicle skin Gurgle Express, Ultra Void Wings skin Wildlands Cutie, Legendary set Rhythm Starcore, Legendary Cradle cosmetic Chubby Buddy, Epic facility skin Vending Machine - Nailoong's Corner and Epic group action Who's the Real Cutie.
  • Combo Crate: Awoo's Adventure. A Lucky Points blind box with the Legendary territory collectible Spirited Nailoong, the Epic Plushie Party Set and the Deviation cosmetic Brave Nailoong - Brave George. Drawn rewards leave the pool, and the studio says the total Crystgin cost is the same whether you draw or buy everything at once. It runs for four weeks under Shop > Combo Crate.
  • Fizzy Soda weapon skins for the AUG, KAM and G17. The bundle is 980 Crystgin for a limited time and adds a "Cute Dragon" weapon charm.
  • "Guess Who I Am?" Epic headgear, from 60 Crystgin.
  • Lightforge Benefits Pack from 60 Crystgin, under Shop > Super Value Deals > Lightforge Benefits.

Not Nailoong, but also in this update: the Poem of Binding blind box arrives November 11 (PT). It costs 30 Crystgin per draw, is capped at 60 draws per player, and guarantees the set grand prize within those 60 draws. So the set costs 1,800 Crystgin at most, minus the first-draw discount.

What else changed in Version 3.1.2?

The Nailoong event is the headline, but the November 4 update also brought:

  • First-person rework. A new first-person roll animation, smooth ladder climbing, low climbs in any direction and a "Camera Switch" button that moves your weapon to the left side of the screen.
  • Batch Replace for territory skins. Swap material skins on an entire connected building, or every facility of one type in a building, in one go. Whole houses can now be moved as a unit.
  • Isles of Abyss changes. A Straight Ladder you can climb while swimming, a Rolling Shutter Door for ships, rebalanced Voyager HP (Lv. 60 Voyagers changed most), and a "greatly increased" chance of Lv. 6 Ship Cannons in Lv. 60+ land calamity zones. Our best ship build guide covers the earlier overweight steering fix that 3.1.2 also lists.
  • Controller support. Controller vibration on PC now works the same way as on console, and Xbox One controllers are now supported.
  • Lethal Rabbit is now Gentleman Rabbit. The territory Deviation has a new look and name. Its functions and how you get it are unchanged.
  • Custom Servers. Players on custom and official servers can now add each other as friends and chat. Our custom server guide explains how rentals work.

The next update is November 18, 2026, at 3:00 PM PT, and the studio says the Visional Wheel is "about to turn", with dev blogs to follow. For the full list of changes in every version, see our Once Human patch notes page.

Is the Nailoong event worth doing?

Yes, for the free half. Daily activity tasks feed the egg, so playing a little every day is the whole strategy for Carpenter Nailoong. The avatar, the namecard, the namecard theme and the Disco Light cost nothing. The transformation is a novelty, but it is a good one for screenshots with friends.

The paid half is for collectors only. The shop items are all cosmetics: skins, sets, charms, a group action and a collectible. If you want one specific cosmetic, check whether it is sold on its own before you open crates. The patch notes say the Awoo's Adventure items "are also available for a limited time in the Shop" at their listed price.

Not everyone is a fan. Under the official update post on r/OnceHumanOfficial, one player asked "is this a game for kindergarteners?" Others were happier about the Voyager rebalance and the better Lv. 6 cannon drops in the same patch. If you'd rather ignore the collab, skip the event and spend the three weeks on Isles of Abyss.
