Quick answer: Once Human Season 5, "Dissonant Resonance", starts on November 19, 2026, worldwide. In practice the switch happens in the November 18, 2026 maintenance at 3:00 PM PT (6:00 PM ET, 23:00 UTC), which is already November 19 in Central Europe and Asia. It is the fifth season of the Visional Wheel, the rotating season layer that sits on top of the scenarios you already play. It is not a new scenario and it does not wipe your server. Season 5 adds Emotion Zones (Joy, Rage, Sorrow and Fear) where kills drop musical notes you shoot and arrange into buffs, a 4-player raid against a pipe-organ colossus, and a new combat Deviation, Silent Statue. The current Vision, S4 Gravity Abyss, ends at the same update, so anything you still want from it has to happen before November 18. This page was checked against Starry Studio's November 5 press release and the official 3.1.2 patch notes on November 6, 2026.
When does Once Human Season 5 start?
Starry Studio's announcement is short: the studio "will launch its fifth season, Dissonant Resonance, globally on November 19." Two official posts pin down the exact moment.
- The Version 3.1.2 notes (November 4) say: "The next update is scheduled for November 18, 2026, at 3:00 PM (PT). The Visional Wheel is about to turn." (official 3.1.2 announcement)
- The Version 3.0.6 notes (September 16) moved the end of the current Vision: "the end time of the Gravity Abyss Vision has been adjusted and postponed to November 18 (PT)." (Steam announcement)
So the PT date and the "global" date are the same moment. Here is what that looks like where you live. US Daylight Saving Time ended on November 1, so Pacific time is UTC-8 now.
| Region | Maintenance starts | Calendar date |
|---|---|---|
| Los Angeles (PT) | 3:00 PM | Wed, Nov 18 |
| New York (ET) | 6:00 PM | Wed, Nov 18 |
| UTC | 23:00 | Wed, Nov 18 |
| London (GMT) | 11:00 PM | Wed, Nov 18 |
| Berlin / Paris (CET) | 12:00 AM | Thu, Nov 19 |
| Moscow (MSK) | 2:00 AM | Thu, Nov 19 |
| Tokyo / Seoul | 8:00 AM | Thu, Nov 19 |
| Sydney (AEDT) | 10:00 AM | Thu, Nov 19 |
Season 5 goes live when servers reopen, not when maintenance starts. The studio has not posted the length of this maintenance yet. The 2026 update windows we tracked were announced at about 2 hours, and the bigger ones at about 3 hours (Isles of Abyss on October 21 was a 3-hour window). Plan for servers back around 5:00 to 6:00 PM PT. Every official notice also carries the same disclaimer that the real reopening time can change. If the timer slips, our Once Human server maintenance status page explains how to tell an overrun from a login bug.
This is one global window for every platform. PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC and mobile all go down together, and the patch size per platform appears in the update announcement on the day. The November 4 update, for comparison, was about 3.55 GB on PS5, 4.16 GB on Xbox and 2.98 GB on the PC launcher.
Is Season 5 a new scenario? (No, and this is the bit people get wrong)
Under one of the first player posts about Season 5 on r/OnceHumanOfficial, a commenter asked the obvious question: "Which scenario is this?" Another player answered it in one line: "not a scenario this is a visional wheel coming on 19th Nov."
That distinction matters, because Once Human uses the word "season" for two unrelated things.
- A scenario is the world you signed up for: Manibus, The Way of Winter, Endless Dream, Evolution's Call, Isles of Abyss and so on. Each server runs its own phase clock, opens on a different day by region and ends in a settlement phase. There is no global scenario season. Our explainer on what carries over and what resets between scenarios covers that cycle.
- A Visional Wheel season, also called a Vision, is a global rules layer the studio swaps in with a patch. It changes events, enemies and rewards inside the scenarios you are already in. Dissonant Resonance is Vision S5.
When the Visional Wheel launched, the official FAQ was explicit that it "won't extend the duration of Scenarios themselves" (Version 1.4.0 Visional Wheel Dev FAQ). So Season 5 does not reset your level, wipe your server, or move your settlement date. You keep playing the same character on the same server. What changes is what spawns in the Visional Worlds around you.
What's new in Season 5: Dissonant Resonance?
Everything below comes from Starry Studio's November 5 press release (English, Games Press; Japanese, PR Times) and the 3.1.2 teaser. The full dev blog with numbers has not been published yet; the 3.1.2 notes say to "stay tuned for upcoming official Dev Blogs."
The pipe-organ colossus in the sky
The season's centrepiece is a living machine shaped like a cathedral pipe organ that hangs over the map. In the studio's words: "Looming permanently in the skybox, this pipe-organ leviathan is no static backdrop—it is a living, judging presence." It changes the atmosphere, its expression and its movement in response to what players do. The 3.1.2 teaser describes the same thing: "Deep within the Nova, a colossal face gazes down upon the land, about to descend upon Nalcott."
Emotion Zones and rhythmic gunplay
Anomaly zones themed on four emotions, Joy, Rage, Sorrow and Fear, appear in the wilderness. Inside them:
- Killing monsters scatters musical notes across the area.
- Shooting a note plays a pitch-tuned sound, so you can improvise a rhythm mid-fight.
- Collecting notes purifies "dissonant, corrupted scores."
- Rearranging the notes into a harmonious melody grants an acoustic buff to help in combat.
- Some completed scores tear open a rift that leads to a harder fight.
The studio has not published the buff values, how long they last or how many notes a score needs. Treat any number you see before the dev blog as a guess.
The 4-player Colossus raid
Through the rift is a four-player co-op fight against the colossus after it descends. The boss changes the arena's music as it goes, and the battlefield changes with it. The press release names two objectives: silencing glowing Resonating Pipes inside a ruined cathedral, and piloting aerial vehicles through floating Resonating Cavities in the sky. The aim is to "disrupt the melody before the deadly track concludes." The Japanese release describes it the same way: a 4-player co-op boss that comes down from the sky and changes the music during the fight.
Four players is the standard Once Human team size, so a full squad fits exactly. If your group mixes consoles and PC, read how to play Once Human with friends on PS5 and Xbox before launch day, because cross-platform squads need an untagged server, not a 【Console】 one.
New combat Deviation: Silent Statue
Arriving November 19, Silent Statue starts out as a shattered gray stone statue that absorbs the elemental energy produced in a fight. When its full power is unlocked, the statue repairs itself and grows golden wings, giving the whole squad a strong elemental buff (the press release calls it "a massive elemental blessing"). That makes it a team-support pick rather than a solo damage Deviation. Where it drops, how you capture it and its exact numbers are not published yet. Our best Deviations tier list will need a re-rank once real numbers exist.
Isles of Abyss finally gets a Vision World
This is the line most Isles players missed. When Isles of Abyss launched on October 21, the official server post said: "the scenario will not include a Vision tag. Later, alongside the S5 Vision release, the Vision World for Isles of Abyss servers will open." (official Isles of Abyss announcement). Season 5 is that release. Isles servers have 12 worlds each; how many of them become Visional has not been published.

How do you play Season 5 content?
You do not sign up for it. Since the May 27, 2026 update, servers in the scenarios that dev blog covered (Manibus, Evolution's Call, The Way of Winter, Endless Dream and Deviation: Survive, Capture, Preserve) have both Visional Worlds and Normal Worlds; Prismverse's Clash has a single World with one tag. Isles of Abyss is the exception for now: it launched without a Vision tag, and its Vision World only opens with the S5 release. Visional events only happen in Visional Worlds. The official dev blog explains the switch (Introducing Visional Worlds and Normal Worlds):
- Go to a Worldstone.
- Open the list of Worlds on your server. They are labelled, for example "Visional World 1: Exo" and "Normal World 1: Exo".
- Pick a Visional World to play Season 5, or a Normal World to skip it.
Three rules from that same post are worth knowing on launch night:
- Moving from a Visional World to a Normal World removes status effects granted by Visional events.
- Effects from Vision-related items you used stay.
- Territories can move freely between Normal and Visional Worlds, so you do not have to rebuild to join in.
New servers open with most of their Worlds Visional. The May 2026 dev blog lists 8 Visional + 2 Normal for a new Manibus server and 12 Visional + 4 Normal for Manibus, The Way of Winter, Endless Dream and Deviation permanent servers. Console players are covered too: at console launch the studio opened servers like "【Console】P_Clash-X0001" as Prismverse's Clash (Visional), so 【Console】-tagged servers run Visions like any other.
Which scenarios Season 5 affects has not been published yet. For comparison, S4 covered "Manibus (excluding novice), Evolution's Call, Prismverse's Clash, The Way of Winter, Endless Dream, Deviation: Survive, Capture, Preserve" (S4 dev blog). If you play on a Manibus Novice server, assume you will not see S5 events until the S5 dev blog says otherwise.
What happens to Gravity Abyss on November 18?
S4 ends at the same update. The studio has used the same wording at every hand-over. When S4 began, the dev blog said servers "will automatically switch to S4 [Gravity Abyss], concluding the [Aberrant Progeny] vision. Related special items will no longer be produced." Expect the same for Gravity Abyss: the Riftwalker, Aerial Hunt, Riftwalker Relics and Gravity Imbalance zones stop, and S4-only items stop dropping.

Your S4 checklist before November 18, 3:00 PM PT
| Do this | Why |
|---|---|
| Spend Abyssal Essence in Event > Visional Redemption > Redeem Shop | The studio has not said whether the S4 shop stays open after the switch. The Downstar/Aero Shiny Mod Random Crate costs 15 Abyssal Essence, up to 2 per month |
| Open or trade spare Abyssal Cores | Cores come in Epic, Legendary and Mythic and "can also be freely traded among players" (S4 dev blog) |
| Claim Abyssal Collection and Vision Collection rewards under Events > Visional Wheel | Collection rewards (Territory Collectibles, weapon skins) are tied to the S4 event page |
| Finish the Aero and Downstar mods you want | S4 introduced the Aero suffix and brought back Downstar; their S4 drop sources stop with the Vision |
| Run Aerial Hunt or Gravity Integrator to Phase 5 | Since June 2, Phase 5 clears count toward Legendary Mod Crate pity and give mods with Visional keywords |
If you are new to mods, our Once Human mods guide explains suffixes and pity before you spend anything.
What were the previous Visional Wheel seasons?
| Season | Name | Started (PT) | What it was about |
|---|---|---|---|
| S0 | Lunar Oracle | Early 2025 (the Visional Wheel debuted with Version 1.4.0) | The first Blood Moon Vision |
| S1 | Starfall Inversion | 2025 | An inverted star, low gravity, Downstar suffix |
| S2 | Lunar Revelry | September 24, 2025 | Blood Moon returns, Crescent suffix |
| S3 | Aberrant Progeny | January 21, 2026 | Deviant zones and Half-Deviants |
| S4 | Gravity Abyss | May 27, 2026 | The Riftwalker, gravity zones, Aero suffix |
| S5 | Dissonant Resonance | November 18, 2026 (Nov 19 global) | Emotion Zones, music notes, pipe-organ colossus raid |
Sources: official S2 announcement (September 24 date), the S3 and S4 dev blogs, and the 3.0.6 / 3.1.2 notes. S4 ran for about 25 weeks because of the 3.0.6 extension, the longest Vision so far.
Console players, this one is yours. Once Human reached PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on August 25, 2026, three months into Gravity Abyss. Season 5 is the first Vision to start from day one since console launch. One console player summed up the Season 5 thread: "it'd be nice to get them as a console player that missed out because it straight up wasnt available." Whether older mods come back in S5 is one of the first questions in that thread, and it is unanswered. S4 did bring back S1's Morphed Deviations and mods, so a return is possible, but nothing official says so for S5.
What don't we know about Season 5 yet?
Starry Studio has not published any of these as of November 6, 2026:
- The S5 season currency and the new mod suffix, if there is one
- Which earlier Vision mods or Morphed Deviations return
- Which scenarios S5 covers, and whether Manibus Novice is excluded again
- Raid rewards, raid difficulty tiers and whether raid clears count toward mod pity
- How to get Silent Statue and its numbers
- The S5 end date
- The maintenance length and patch size on each platform
The dev blogs land before the update, as they did for S4 (dev blog May 22, update May 27). We check the Once Human patch notes every update day. In the meantime, the Nailoong event runs until November 25, so it overlaps the first week of Season 5.

FAQ
When does Once Human Season 5 come out? Season 5, Dissonant Resonance, starts with the update on November 18, 2026 at 3:00 PM PT (23:00 UTC). That is November 19 in Central Europe and Asia, which is why Starry Studio calls it a November 19 global launch. It goes live when servers reopen, usually two to three hours after maintenance starts.
Is Dissonant Resonance a new scenario? No. It is the fifth Visional Wheel season, a rules layer that runs inside existing scenarios like Manibus and The Way of Winter. You do not sign up for it and it does not wipe or extend your server.
Do I need to make a new character for Season 5? No. Go to a Worldstone and switch to a Visional World on your current server. Your territory can move with you.
Can I skip Season 5 events? Yes. Stay in, or switch to, a Normal World (Isles of Abyss servers have no Vision World until S5 opens it). Visional events only happen in Visional Worlds. Prismverse's Clash is the exception: its servers have one World and open with either a Visional or a Normal tag.
Does Isles of Abyss get Season 5? Yes. The official Isles server post says its Vision World opens "alongside the S5 Vision release." How many of the 12 Isles worlds become Visional has not been published.
What happens to Gravity Abyss when Season 5 starts? S4 ends at the November 18 update. Going by the studio's previous hand-overs, S4 events stop and S4-only items stop dropping. Spend your Abyssal Essence and claim your collection rewards before then.
Is Season 5 on PS5 and Xbox? Yes. Visions are game-wide and the update is one maintenance window for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC and mobile. 【Console】-tagged servers run Visions too.
