FC 27 FUT Gallery Explained: Sets, Gallery Tokens and How to Level Up Fast (September 2026)

The FUT Gallery is the biggest structural change to Ultimate Team in EA SPORTS FC 27, and it rewires how your club earns rewards — not through your starting XI, but through every Player Item that has ever passed through your club. With the global release set for 25 September 2026, this is the new system everyone is trying to understand before launch. Here's exactly how the EA FC 27 FUT Gallery works, what Gallery Tokens and Set Grades actually get you, and the fastest ways to raise your Gallery Level from day one.

Quick answer: what is the FC 27 FUT Gallery?

The FUT Gallery is a new, permanent collection-and-progression system in EA SPORTS FC 27 Ultimate Team. You file Player Items into themed Sets (Nations, Leagues, Clubs, Campaigns and Custom), each completed Set earns a grade based on the items inside it, and grading Sets builds an overall Gallery Level — a second progression track that runs alongside your squad. Rewards come from two places: grading Sets and hitting Gallery Level milestones, paying out cosmetics, Gallery Tokens (spent in the new Gallery Token Store), and rarer prizes including Holographic Items and the new Hall of FUT historical cards. The key twist: an item still counts toward your Gallery even after you sell it or submit it into an SBC.

Key takeaways

  • FUT Gallery = a legacy system. Most Player Items from packs, the Transfer Market, Objectives and SBCs can join your Gallery. Loan Items are the main exception.
  • Sold and SBC'd items still count. Once an item has touched your club, it can keep contributing to Sets — so fodder is never fully "wasted."
  • Two reward paths: Set Grades and Gallery Level milestones. Both pay cosmetics, Gallery Tokens, and higher up, Holographic Items.
  • Gallery Tokens buy Kits, Badges and the brand-new Hall of FUT items in the Gallery Token Store.
  • Higher-rated and special items grade better. OVR, special versions and Holographic cards all push a Set's score up — which is where coin power turns into Gallery progress.
- Gallery Hub is platform-limited: the 3D club environment runs on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series XS and Nintendo Switch 2 only.

How does the FC 27 FUT Gallery actually work?

In EA's words, the Gallery lets you "immortalise your dream club." Every meaningful Player Item you earn can be recorded there, and — crucially — it keeps paying you back long after that card leaves your active squad.

EA is explicit about this on the official FUT Deep Dive: "Even if an Item is no longer actively in your Club, for example, if you sold it on the Transfer Market or submitted it into an SBC, it can still contribute to Gallery Sets, helping you increase your Gallery Level and earn rewards." That single rule changes launch-week strategy. In FC 26, packing a strong card and then flipping or SBC-ing it left you with nothing but the coins or the reward. In FC 27, that same card can permanently improve a Set behind the scenes.

Most items are eligible — packs, Transfer Market, Objectives, SBCs and other FUT rewards all feed the Gallery. The exceptions to note: Loan Items are not eligible, and Evolution Items are represented by the original base Item before it entered an Evo.

What are Gallery Sets and Set Grades?

The Gallery is built around Sets organised by theme. EA has confirmed four core categories plus a freeform option:

Set typeWhat it collectsWhy it matters
NationsPlayer Items from a given nationEasy to fill from your natural pack pulls
LeaguesItems from a specific leagueSeason-long progress as you pack that league
ClubsItems from a specific clubGreat for fan-identity Custom displays
CampaignsPromo/campaign items (e.g. seasonal events)Higher-value items = higher grades
Custom SetsAny items you chooseShowcase favourites; not tied to a fixed theme

You can add items to a Set manually to shape it yourself, or use an autocomplete feature to fill open slots more efficiently. Completing a Set is only the start — each completed Set receives a grade based on the items added to it. Every item carries its own score value, and higher-OVR or special versions contribute more to the Set's overall score.

That creates a long-term upgrade loop: you might complete a League Set early with regular Gold Items, then return over the season and swap in Campaign Items, Heroes, ICONs or Holographic versions to push the grade higher and unlock further rewards. Improving grades isn't only about raw ratings, either — Tags reward specific combinations of item properties within a Set (for example, a required number of Gold Items or Campaign Items), giving you flexible routes to a better score.

What is Gallery Level and what rewards does it pay?

Every Set you complete and improve feeds your overall Gallery Level — a separate progression path from squad-building. As your Gallery Level climbs, you earn rewards tied to that progression, and milestones can offer larger prizes, including the chance to earn distinctive Holographic Items.

Rewards therefore come from two directions:

  • Grading Sets → cosmetics, Gallery Tokens, and other reward types, with higher grades unlocking additional rewards.
  • Gallery Level milestones → larger rewards the deeper you progress, up to and including Holographic Items.

Gallery Tokens are the currency you'll care about most. They're spent in the new Gallery Token Store, which offers rewards "inspired by fandom and Club identity" — Kits, Badges, and a brand-new class of historical items called Hall of FUT. If you've been following the launch reveals, that's the same Hall of FUT collectible tied to the Ultimate Plus edition; the Token Store is a second, non-paywalled route into that content. EA has confirmed the store will evolve throughout the season, rotating in new rewards. (For the full breakdown of the confirmed legends, see our FC 27 Hall of FUT explainer.)

What are Holographic Items and how do they help your Gallery?

EA SPORTS FC 27 Holographic Player Item with premium foil presentation

Holographic Items are a rarer version of special items and they matter specifically because they contribute more to a Set's score. When an eligible special item appears in a pack, a Holographic version of that same card may also be available.

There are two types:

  • Regular Holographic Items — the standard animated foil effect.
  • Pristine Holographic Items — a more premium look, including the player's name in a stylised font.

Each eligible Player Item will only ever have one Holographic version (Regular or Pristine), and the player's in-match attributes are unchanged — the value is rarity, presentation and, for Gallery purposes, the extra grading weight. Slotting a Holographic card into the right Set is one of the cleanest ways to bump a grade without chasing a higher-OVR player.

Alongside this, EA has simplified base rarity: Bronze, Silver and Gold Items are no longer split into Common and Rare. Packs will no longer state a guaranteed minimum number of Rare items, though EA says the underlying pull rates for base players are intended to stay consistent with FC 26.

How to level up your FC 27 Gallery fast

EA hasn't published exact Gallery Level counts or reward tables yet, so treat any "reach level X for Y" chart as unconfirmed until launch. But the mechanics EA has confirmed already point to a clear, efficient strategy:

  • Chase the Sets you're naturally closest to. Your daily pack pulls will cluster around a few Nations and Leagues. Complete those first with autocomplete, then grade them — quick, free progress before you spend a coin.
  • Grade with your best cards, not your spares. Because higher-OVR and special items score more, temporarily slotting a strong card into a Set (even one you plan to sell later) can jump a grade. Remember: it keeps counting after you sell it.
  • Prioritise Holographic and Campaign items for grades. They carry more score weight, so one well-placed Holographic can outperform several Gold fillers.
  • Read the Tags before you fill a slot. Tags reward specific item-type combinations, so hitting a Tag can raise your score more than a marginally higher-rated card would.
  • Never bin usable fodder blindly — route it through SBCs. An item submitted into an SBC still contributes to your Gallery, so you get the SBC reward and the Gallery credit. That's the single biggest efficiency shift from FC 26.
  • Come back to Sets all season. Grading isn't one-and-done. Re-visit completed Sets and upgrade them as better items enter your club.

The uncomfortable truth for a fast start: the whole system rewards item quality and volume. Completing and grading Sets quickly means having strong Player Items to place — and at launch, that means coins to buy them on the Transfer Market. A healthy launch-week coin balance turns directly into higher Set Grades, more Gallery Tokens and faster milestones.

Which platforms get the Gallery Hub and 3D Items?

Two features are tied to hardware. The Gallery Hub — the new 3D environment that becomes your main Ultimate Team space, showing off your items and favourite Sets — runs only on **PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series XS and Nintendo Switch 2. The same platform list applies to 3D Items**, where Player Items appear as 3D objects that fill your space as your club grows across the season.

If you're on PS4, Xbox One or the original Nintendo Switch, you still get the full FUT Gallery, Sets, grading, Gallery Level and Token Store — you just won't see the 3D Gallery Hub environment. How the Gallery ties into the rest of FC 27's new systems

FAQ

What is the FC 27 FUT Gallery? It's a new collection-and-progression system in EA SPORTS FC 27 Ultimate Team where you file Player Items into themed Sets, grade each completed Set, and build an overall Gallery Level that pays out cosmetics, Gallery Tokens and rarer rewards — even from cards you've already sold or used in SBCs.

Do items still count if I sell them or use them in an SBC? Yes. EA confirmed that an item that's no longer in your club — sold on the Transfer Market or submitted into an SBC — can still contribute to Gallery Sets and help raise your Gallery Level. Loan Items are the main exception, and Evolution Items are represented by their original base card.

What are Gallery Tokens used for? Gallery Tokens are earned by grading Sets and spent in the Gallery Token Store on Kits, Badges and the new Hall of FUT historical items. EA says the store will rotate in new rewards throughout the season.

How do I raise my Set grade? Add higher-OVR and special versions of players — including Holographic Items, which score more — and hit the Set's Tags, which reward specific item-type combinations. You can keep upgrading a completed Set over the season to push its grade higher.

Does the FUT Gallery work on PS4 and Xbox One? Yes, the Gallery, Sets, grading, Gallery Level and Token Store are available, but the 3D Gallery Hub environment and 3D Items are limited to PC, PS5, Xbox Series XS and Nintendo Switch 2.

When does the FC 27 FUT Gallery go live? With EA SPORTS FC 27 at global release on 25 September 2026 (PC unlock 24 September, 23:00 UTC). Early access for Ultimate and Ultimate Plus editions begins 18 September 2026.
