Early access is live, the club is open, and a large share of the people who paid $99.99 or $149.99 are staring at an Ultimate Team home screen that looks suspiciously like a free account. No ICON pack. No Premium Pass. No FC Points.
Almost none of that is a bug. EA published a grant-date table for every launch reward the day before early access opened, and once you line your situation up against it, most "missing" rewards turn out to be either not due yet, sitting in a mode you have not opened, or waiting on a clock that is not the one you moved.
Here is the full list, the exact dates, and the five things that actually cause a reward to go missing.
TL;DR — the quick answers
- Current FC 27 phase: early access, day one. EA's Launch Rewards Pitch Notes puts the start at 18 September at 00:00 regional time on PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo, and 17 September at 23:00 UTC on PC. Worldwide launch is 25 September (PC unlocks 24 September at 23:00 UTC).
- Almost everything lands on 18 September. The 85+ International ICON Pack, the 1 of 5 Hall of FUT Player Pick, the extra Evolution slot, The Grounds cosmetics and the Career Mode rewards all carry a September 18th, 2026 grant date.
- FC Points do not arrive as one lump. Your first installment lands on your first login after early access begins; the rest arrive on the 15th of each month.
- If you time-travelled your console to New Zealand, expect a wait. Grants follow your 18 September, not the region you borrowed. Players who jumped the queue are reporting the game running fine and the entitlements still empty.
- Your FC 26 carryover rewards are not late — they are October. EA's first carryover delivery date is 2 October 2026.
- Nothing unlocks itself. EA's own terms require you to log into Ultimate Team, log into The Grounds and create a Career Mode save while connected to EA servers before the content is released.

What phase is FC 27 in right now?
FC 27 is in the early access window, which is limited to the Ultimate and Ultimate Plus Editions (plus EA Play Pro members) and runs up to seven days ahead of the 25 September worldwide release. Standard Edition players are still outside the gate.
That distinction matters more than it looks, because the reward table is written against early access, not against launch. EA's Launch Rewards Pitch Notes, published 17 September 2026, opens with the exact framing:
"With the launch of EA SPORTS FC™ 27 just around the corner, starting 18 September at 00:00 regional time on PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo, and 17 September at 23:00 UTC on PC, we wanted to give you a closer look at the rewards available as you start playing."
Two clocks, then. PC runs on a single global UTC moment. Every console runs on local midnight. Your reward grants sit on the console-style clock even if you found a way to boot the game early — which is the single biggest source of today's confusion, and the first thing to check below.
When do FC 27 pre-order rewards actually arrive?
This is EA's published schedule, edition by edition. The short version: if the row says September 18th, it is due today. If it says anything else, it is not late.

Three numbers worth holding on to. The ICON pack draws from a pool of 18 Debut ICONs, every one of them rated 85 or 86 OVR, and EA is explicit that "the probability of obtaining each ICON in the pool of 18 varies" — there is no bad-luck protection and no way to target a card. The Premium Pass entitlement on Ultimate Plus covers five seasons, running from Season 1 on 17 September 2026 all the way to the end of Season 5 on 8 April 2027. And the FC Points totals are 6,000 on Ultimate and 10,000 on Ultimate Plus — neither of which you will be holding today.
What are the Season 1–5 dates?
Because the Premium Pass grants are pinned to season launches rather than to 18 September, the calendar is the schedule:
- Season 1: Ones To Watch — 17 September 2026 to 22 October 2026
- Season 2 — 22 October 2026 to 3 December 2026
- Season 3 — 3 December 2026 to 14 January 2027
- Season 4 — 14 January 2027 to 25 February 2027
- Season 5 — 25 February 2027 to 8 April 2027
Ultimate Plus players do not receive five passes in one drop. Each one arrives as its season opens, which is why an Ultimate Plus club looks identical to an Ultimate club on the pass screen today.
Why are my FC 27 pre-order rewards missing?
Five causes cover effectively every report on the subreddits this morning. Work down them in order.
1. You moved your console clock, and the grant did not move with it
This is the big one. Plenty of players switched their console region to New Zealand to open the game hours ahead of their own midnight — the FC 27 New Zealand trick — and the game launched exactly as promised. The entitlements did not follow.
The pattern in the threads is consistent: players who region-hopped on Xbox describe restarting the game repeatedly and still holding no FC Points, no ICON pack and no Premium Pass, while players who simply waited for their own local midnight describe everything landing at once. One Ultimate Edition player summed up the mechanic in a single line — the points and the pass unlock at midnight, and it is your midnight that counts.
EA has not published a statement specifically about region-switched accounts, so treat this as the best available read rather than a confirmed rule. But it lines up with EA's own wording — the grant dates are written against regional time, not against a global moment — and it matches what the early-access threads are describing.
The fix is patience, not a support ticket. Set the console back to your real region and wait for 18 September 00:00 where you actually live. Opening a case with EA Support before your own grant window has arrived just puts you in a queue for an entitlement that was never overdue.
2. You have not actually entered every mode yet
EA's pre-order terms are unusually specific about this, and they are the reason Career Mode and The Grounds rewards go missing for people whose Ultimate Team rewards arrived fine. To release pre-order content, EA requires that you:
"redeem your single-use code (if applicable), log into Ultimate Team, log into The Grounds, and create a Career Mode save while connected to EA servers"
All four, while online. A Career Mode 5-star Youth Scout will not appear until a Career save exists. The Grounds cosmetics, the Tier 3 Amp inspired by Mbappé and the two 2x AXP consumables will not appear until you have walked into The Grounds at least once. This trips up FUT-only players every single year.
| One platform caveat worth flagging, because EA's own pages disagree: the Launch Rewards Pitch Notes lists The Grounds rewards as available on **PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC**, while EA's Help article still describes The Grounds as PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | S and PC only. 3. Your FC 26 instant reward is in FC 26, and it can take a day
A meaningful slice of every pre-order package is not FC 27 content at all. Standard Edition pre-orders received one untradeable 92+ OVR ICON Player Item for use in EA SPORTS FC 26. Ultimate pre-orders placed by 31 August received a 93+ OVR 1 of 4 Player Pick ICON plus a Player Dribbling Evo, again in FC 26. Ultimate Plus added a 99 Physical Stat Evolution on top.
If you are hunting for those in FC 27, you will never find them. And if they have not shown up in FC 26 either, EA's Help article gives the window directly:
"If you're eligible for instant pre-order rewards in FC 26, make sure to wait at least 24 hours after pre-ordering FC 27 for your content to be delivered."
Two exclusions to know: pre-orders for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2 and physical copies do not include the FC 26 content at all.
4. Wrong account, wrong platform family
Every reward in the package is tied to one EA Account and to the platform family you bought on. FC 26 content has to be claimed by signing into Ultimate Team in FC 26 on the same platform used to pre-order, with the same EA Account or platform account attached to that pre-order. Carryover is stricter still — rewards earned on PlayStation can only be claimed on PlayStation.
If you pre-ordered on a console account and are now checking on PC, or you have two EA Accounts linked to two consoles in the house, that is the whole explanation.
5. It is a carryover reward, and carryover is October
This catches a lot of people who assume everything owed to them lands on day one. Your FC 26 progress rewards are a separate programme with a separate calendar that opens in October 2026, not September. EA's schedule runs across four delivery dates — 2 October, 9 October, 16 October and 23 October — and EA warns that "it may take some time for all eligible rewards to appear in your account" even once a date passes. Club Member and EA Play drops are the exception that is due today: Club Member Drop 1 (exclusive FUT cosmetics, a Tier 1 AXP Multiplier for The Grounds and a Gareth Bale Legendary Item in Career) and EA Play Drop 1 (a Grounds cosmetic) both carry an 18 September date. Club Membership itself requires you to log into both FC 26 and FC 27 with the same EA Account before 1 November 2026, and logins through the Companion App, Web App or any trial do not count.
Where does each reward actually show up in-game?
Knowing the grant date only helps if you are looking in the right screen. The most common false alarm today is the Premium Pass, with several Ultimate Edition players reporting that FC Points and the extra Evolution slot arrived normally while the pass appeared to be missing.
- 85+ International ICON Pack and Hall of FUT Player Pick — the Store, under unopened packs. They do not auto-open into your club.
- Premium Pass — not a pack. It applies to the Seasonal Track in the FC Hub, so check whether the premium reward row is unlocked rather than looking for an item.
- Additional Evolution slot — visible as a higher slot count on the Evolutions screen, which matters immediately if you are planning day-one Pathways upgrades.
- FC Points — the balance counter in the top corner of Ultimate Team, updated on login.
- The Grounds cosmetics and Amp — your locker inside The Grounds, not the FUT club.
- Career items — inside an active Career save; they do not exist until a save does.

Do I get all 6,000 FC Points on day one?
No, and the gap between what people expect here and what EA actually promised is worth being blunt about.
EA's wording is that your first installment "will become available when you first log in after Early Access begins on 18 September", with subsequent eligible installments "delivered on the 15th of each month". So an Ultimate Edition buyer gets roughly 2,000 points today and the remaining 4,000 across the next two months. Ultimate Plus gets roughly 2,000 today and 10,000 in total across five monthly drops ending well into 2027.
There are deadlines attached, too. To receive all 6,000 points on Ultimate you must complete your initial login by 1 August 2027; Ultimate Plus needs its initial login by 1 June 2027; and on either edition, redeeming after 26 September 2027 means no FC Points at all.
The practical consequence for launch week is simple. The FC Points drip does not fund a competitive squad in September, and the Season 1 market is at its most expensive precisely when everyone is trying to build. Short on coins while the launch market is at its peak? Early access is the most expensive week of the FUT year to build a squad, and the FC Points drip will not cover it.

A note we repeat on every coins guide: EA's User Agreement prohibits buying, selling or transferring coins for real money, and enforcement can include coin removal, a club reset, a transfer-market ban or an account ban. Comfort Trade with paced delivery and no bots or injectors reduces exposure — it does not remove it, and anyone promising zero risk is lying to you.
Do Standard Edition players get anything on 18 September?
If you pre-ordered Standard, yes — a real but small slice. EA's disclaimer states that "unless otherwise noted, all pre-order content will be available beginning September 18, 2026", and for Standard that means the Career Pre-Order Challenges, the three ICONs/Heroes for Career, the 5-star Coach and Youth Scout, and The Grounds cosmetics on supported platforms.
What Standard does not get is the FUT side of the package: no 85+ International ICON Pack, no Hall of FUT pick, no extra Evolution slot, no Premium Pass and no FC Points. Those are edition rewards, not pre-order rewards, and the game itself does not unlock for Standard buyers until 25 September. FAQ
Why did my friend get the pre-order ICON pack and I did not? Almost always eligibility timing or region. The 85+ International ICON Pack is automatic on Ultimate Plus, but on the standard Ultimate Edition it is limited to pre-orders placed by 31 August 2026 — a September Ultimate pre-order does not include it. If you did qualify, the second likeliest cause is that your console is sitting in a borrowed region and your local 18 September has not arrived yet.
Is the pre-order ICON permanent, or does it upgrade? It upgrades. EA commits to upgrading the International ICON Player Item to its "Champion" version by 30 November 2026. Specific Champion ratings circulating in the community are estimates — EA has not published per-player Champion OVRs.
My Premium Pass is missing but my FC Points arrived. Is that a bug? Probably not. The Premium Pass is granted at season launch and applies to the Seasonal Track in the FC Hub rather than arriving as an item, so there is nothing to "receive". Check whether the premium reward row on the Season 1 track is unlocked before reporting it. Buying the pass early also gains you nothing mechanically — EA's own help article confirms that upgrading mid-season instantly unlocks every premium reward for levels you already reached.
When exactly do my FC 26 carryover rewards arrive? Deliveries begin 2 October 2026 and run across 2, 9, 16 and 23 October. You must log into FC 27 Ultimate Team with the same EA Account and the same platform family you used in FC 26, and EA notes it may take time for everything to appear even after a delivery date.
Should I contact EA Support today? Only if your local 18 September has passed, you have logged into Ultimate Team, entered The Grounds and created a Career save while online, waited 24 hours for any FC 26 instant items, and confirmed you are on the right account and platform. If all five are true and something on the 18 September row is still missing, EA's pre-order help article is the correct escalation path.
Does the free EA Play trial include the pre-order rewards? No. Edition rewards belong to the edition you bought, and EA's terms go further by explicitly excluding trial logins — the Club Membership conditions state that eligibility "excludes login via EA SPORTS FC Companion or any trials (including EA Play Trial)". Hours played in the 10-hour trial do not unlock edition or pre-order entitlements; you need the full game on the account that holds the pre-order.
